Monster Madness CLONEDVD-JFKPC

Due to a DDoS attack on our server today this has been posted a little later than i had hoped but better late than never. This morning JFKPC released another PC game called Monster Madness which is a top down 3D shooter. Its main focus is on Co-operative play with up to four other players in which you have to kill hordes of “monsters”. You play as one of four different teenagers each with there own stereotypical characteristics such as a goth and skater guy. You can use the environment to upgrade you characters weapons and use nearby vehicles to help kill your enemy’s. The game uses the new Unreal 3.0 Engine so you can expect some nice shiny graphics and also some great physics but only if your computer is up to it. This looks to be a very fun, original game indeed but to get it running you will need grab yourself the YASU (it is included in the release) tool to get passed the SecuROM protection, we should see a cracked version soon but if you cant wait for this impressive looking game then this release should be fine. It weighs in at about 3.5 GB so it might take some time to download but i say its worth it.

Four friends get together for a party while the parents are away, but somebody … or something, is about to crash the party. In four-player melee action, you will fight off the monster invasion in this top-down action/shooting game.

Customize and build your own weapons by grabbing parts from the house and town to create more powerful attack tools, and find rare parts to build some ultimate weapons. Jack abandoned vehicles and deck them out with weapons to ride through the terrain and take out creatures. Visit five locations, including the suburban town, the high school, and the “Shopping Maul.”

The use of the Ageia NovodeX Physics platform allows you to interact with the environments physics to give yourself an advantage, such as creating barrides or throwing large objects, while the visual system uses the advanced Unreal 3 Engine.

Features:

  • 4-Player Cooperative Online Action: Mix local and online players as you try to survive the monster’s invasion. Each player character has unique items and affects how the story plays out.
  • 3D Top-Down Shooting: Aim in any direction, including up and down. Hordes of monsters attack you from all sides, but you can also utilise quick dodge-moves to avoid them!
  • Customize Your Weapons: Acquire weapon parts by defeating enemies and exploring your environments, and then use these parts to build more powerful weapons and upgrade the ones that you have. Carry these customised Weapons between games, and find rare weapon parts at the greater difficulty levels to build the ultimate weapons!
  • Drive Vehicles: Find abandoned vehicles, outfit them with deadly weapons, and ride in them to overpower your foot-bound foes.
  • Save the Town: Fight your way through 5 unique environments, such as “Suburban Nightmare,” “High School Hell,” and “The Shopping Maul,” each with deranged Boss Monsters. Take back your turf from these evil fiends (and maybe impress your girlfriend while you’re at it)!
  • Advanced Physics: Monster Madness is designed specifically for the Ageia NovodeX Physics platform, including use of the PhysX PPU. Interact with the environments physics to give yourself an advantage, such as creating barricades or throwing large objects.
  • Killer Graphics: Running on the Reality Engine, Monster Madness takes full advantage of the most advanced Shader Model 3.0 capabilities, including High Dynamic Range Rendering with fully dynamically lit and shadowed worlds.

Advanced Physics: Monster Madness is designed specifically for the Ageia NovodeX Physics platform, including use of the PhysX PPU.

wonder if the game runs without PhysX card..I tried that one game for PhysX and it was totally unplayable with my computer.
This looks like a neat game!

I’m sure it will be fine without a physics card. But the unreal 3 engine is a bitch to run so you’ll need a decent gfx card.

I know this because of rainbow six. Loads of people had problems with that and this will probably have a lot more going on at a time…

The other game you tried that was pretty much unplayable without the physX card was Cellfactor, also developed by Artificial Studios. This is their second game, which plays pretty good without the card. Everyone in this game seems like they’re sliding on ice, however, and sometimes so many bad guys appear that it stutters terribly. The character’s color palette doesn’t “pop” out of the screen and it’s hard as hell to see what kind of weapon your holding or your health bar.

@lol, come on…. read the topic

“The game uses the new Unreal 3.0 Engine so you can expect some nice shiny graphics and also some great physics but only if your computer is up to it.”

That’s why I asked, my GFX card is a bit old.. so…

Shiny, that feed only gives me excerpts… Eg. click to read more. The whole article content used to be inline in the feed. Now it’s just short excerpts, and you have to click to read everything. I understand it’s probably something you’ve done to drive more traffic to the main page or something, but to me it’s just a perfect reason to remove you from my RSS reader altogether. I’ve got plenty of other release logs that give the complete article content inline. :|

The ViTALiTY can work with this release. I created a shortcut to the .exe so I could add -RUNME to the command line. Even though that did allow me to play the game, it still crashed randomly and in different ways.

I downloaded this from a private tracker but the torrent was the same. This game works perfectly for me but this games online is the worst of all time. There is no multiplayer lobby. in order to play you must type the persons IP in.

    Install directions:
    1. extract the files from moma-jfkpc.rar
    2. extract the files from momatools-jfkpc.rar
    3. open the folder moma-jfkpc
    4. Open Dameon-Tools and mount moma-jfkpc.iso.mdf
    5. open the momatools-jfkpc folder
    6. double click the YASU.exe
    7. Check SafeDisc 4.x Cloaking, SafeDix 4.x intelligent Cloacking, SecuROM7.x Cloaking.
    8. Click the Cloak button and just drag the window out of the way. You must leave it open.
    9. Just go to My computer and find the drive with monster madness installed on it and double click it.
    10. Just begin your installation and it should work fine.

Now someone needs to host some god Damned online coop….

This works fine for me as well. I mounted the disc with Daemon Tools 4.08HE, opened YASU with everything selected, clicked “cloak”, closed YASU (it stays in the taskbar, green Y icon) installed the game and when it was done I ran it. I didn’t need to use a cracked exe and I didn’t get any errors or odd message screens, YASU just worked.

The game looks like it could be fun if I can get into it, but so far it feels a bit awkward to control. I’ll give it a bit more time before I decide whether to keep or ininstall.

  51. June 1st, 2007 | 01:22

    This game is NOT working!!
I did everything , Used Daemons, Then YASU , installed and same “Monster Madness Launch” Error .. The whole Microsoft thing.. WTF is wrong??? Why do ppl upload NON working images? Why , if its working , dont they include an Installation ReadMe…

Pfff , if someone can install it or FIND a solution it would be great , cuz its like 3.5GB do REDOWNLOAD it again.

(By the way , please dont post “worked fine for me” or “hey , use daemon , then yasu , then install and IT HAS TO WORK” cuz it didnt , and it wont)

Hhehee have a nice day :P

I just wait untill somebody starts bragging that he got it working with a crack, and I just copy his method. It’s not lazy, it’s smart…

By the by, this seems to be A LOT like the SNES classic “Zombies Ate My Neighbours”, which was a great game but got impossibly hard in the last levels.

  53. June 1st, 2007 | 06:55

This is the 15th time i post cuz i CANT SUM.. 2+ 4 isnt 6??? WTF u should fix that… hehe

I hope it stops doing that.. Anyway..

Ive installed using Daemon 4.09HE , with YASU (yeah without the safedisc 4x thing and with it , ive tried both) , running the MONSTERGAME.EXE with “-runme” instead of the launch icon , and NADA , ZIP , NOTHING , NADGOTEN xD (thats german right lol).

Now i get an Error with the Monstergame.exe PLUS a “General Protection Failure! History: Address 0xblah” error :).

Ive tried all 3 cracks at gameworldcopy and still wont work..

Hey guys that made it work , why dont u post ur computer specs and the steps u followed to make that happen????? Would be great instead of just bragging :).

    Nite all :)

  54. house_Fly
    June 1st, 2007 | 13:06

brody, Im not sure whats wrong with your PC other than you aren’t meeting the minimum requirements and/or you are running windows vista 64 bit. Because my steps work perfect for about 11 people so next time don’t try saying things don’t work because
1.It doesn’t work on your PC.
    2.You fail at life

  55. June 1st, 2007 | 18:16

Oh you mean i should say it works even if it doesnt?? And oh yeah 11 ppl working , how bout the other hundreds that arent? Have u checked forums and stuff before u posted ur GREAT SOLUTION (”hey ur pc doesnt work”)?

If you aint gonna give a solution , i dont get your post.
“brody, Im not sure whats wrong with your PC” That was helpfull :).

Wait i do fail in life , maybe thats it… hmm ill try to improve my life THEN ill use the Crack and maybe it will work right :)?

Anyway for they guys that CANT find the v1.01 patch:
    http://www.southpeakgames.com/support/MonsterMadness_Patch1001.exe

Try using that with the HATRED crack at gamecopyworld.com. I hope it works for you.

  56. June 2nd, 2007 | 10:17

Ok heres the Deal , ill tell u MY STORY.

I did all the installs posibles and nothing seemed to worked , either i got a LAUNCH ERROR (everyone gets it) , or an MONSTERGAME.EXE ERROR , with some GENERAL PROTECTION FAULT errors.

I had a 128 V.Card… So the game should tell me it didnt support it right? Work and give me a message , well the game DOESNT.

It just WONT work and give u all those errors cuz its not supporting either ur card or chipset. Pretty crappy to handle things like that instead of igiving a REASON , it just wont work.

I changed to a 256 ATI STEALTH 1550 PRO AGP Video Card today and guess what??? yeah it works..

So , im MY experiencie if u did everything ok and still the game wont work , try another VIDEO CARD or try installing it in another computer with a better card just to verify.

    I followed this steps:
    1) Installed with DAEMON 4.09HE , using YASU with all options on.
    2) Downloaded the HATRED crack at gamecopyworld.com
    3) Installed the patch , http://www.southpeakgames.com/support/MonsterMadness_Patch1001.exe
    4) Apply the patch (yeah just after installation)
    5) Apply the Crack (just DRAG AND DROP)
    6) Run the game with the STARTGAME file on the HATRED crack u just installed!!

As for resolution stuff or making the game be played in a FULL window , i dunno how to do that yet :) hope i helped some of you

Hi there. the game works for me.

    My Spec:
    OS ——— Win Vista x86 (32bit)
    CPU ——— 3.0Ghz HT
    Ram ——— 1.00 GB
    HDD ——— 160 GB
    GPU ——— GeForce 7800 GT - 256 MB (gainward)
Mainbord —- ASUS P5GPL-X SE (Intel 915Pl Express chipset

I must admit i don’t have the best Rig but the game runs just fine, and for the installation and running the game part : I used DAEMON 4.08HE and YASU form the Tool Folder that came with the download.
I did not use any crack and YASU options are all ON. Ooo and I almost forgot the emulation options on DAEMON 4.08HE are also all ON.Mabye thats the difference. I hope I could HELP
    ;)

    Okay champ, here’s my specs:

    CPU: AMD Turion 64 ML-44 2.4Ghz
    RAM: 2GB DDR PC3200
    HDD: 200GB
GPU: 2x NVIDIA GeForce Go 7900GS 256MB SLi
    MOBO: Alienware (go figure)
    BIOS: AMI
OS: WinXP 32 bit +SP2 and all crappy updates.

Once again, mounted with Daemon 4.08HE, opened YASU and cloaked, installed and ran. But unlike the poster above me, none of the emulations were on in Daemon. How weird. :)

The reason why I posted HOW I got it to work and with what is because often you just need to know the minimum requirements then follow steps to make it work, not read a post that looks like someone’s signature in a computer overclocker’s forum.

Yes, this game is very reminicent of Zombies Ate My Neighbours… I think the game even mentions that the developers were heavily inspired by it in one of the cutscreens. Time to break out the SNES emulator I think :D

Has anybody managed to get a control pad to work with this?

  59. BiJay
    June 3rd, 2007 | 11:39

Okay, the game works fine. I installed without Yasu, I don’t know why I should use it.
The problem is, I can’t run the Launcher to change resolution and controls. But I’m used to deal with Unreal Engine so I opened the ini files in the Engine folder and changed some things like language full screen etc., but as I start the game nothing has changed. Weird. :/
I just can play Fullscreen with ALT+Enter, but the game doesn’t work smooth, so I really want to change some things. The resolution is on 640×480 btw… :/

-Concerning SAVE problem, you need to create a folder in
    [your folder with game]\MonsterGame\SaveData

-To change resolution go to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\ArtificialStudios\MonsterMadness, then open MonsterEngine.ini
Find the line that determines the resolution.

-Key Settings should be dealt with in another *ini there, didn`t try yet..

Yeah, so I didn’t DL this torrent, since I got the real game.

But after all the bullshitting with -runme I got the game to work, but I still have problems, and none of them are listed on dev’s website.

First off, the game doesn’t fricking SAVE! Anyone know why this is? Second, the game’s cutscenes wont show. At all. And thirdly I still can’t get the launcher running, even though I’ve tride -runme.

So yeah, can anyone help? The save-issue is the most important, the other stuff are just bonuses.
