Here’s just a quick update about a newly released cracked version of Monster Madness Battle for Suburbia, which was covered yesterday by Shiny. This version from ViTALiTY comes in the same size as previous CloneDVD from JFKPC - SecuRom isn’t that shitty as StarForce which adds gigabytes of useless data for nothing. Although not an AAA title, Monster Madness looks like a lot of fun, so if you have some free bandwith, give it a try.

    I just downloaded the JFKPC version of this game, and i cant even play that one without a crack, now just waiting till the crack from this one is released by itself since i dont want to download another 3 gigs.

    And i was wondering if you were considering additional staff? since most of the posts are usually done at night in my area i wanted to know if you wanted someone who can post during those hours where there’s light here?

    Start the exe with -RUNME in the console, then it should start.

    But doesn’t really work here either. Starts in window mode and even the fucking menue lags like hell.

    win xp sp2 radeon 9550 gecube 256mb daemon tools 4,08 yasu 1.2.7050 jfkclone works fine. uninstall all other virtual drives like nero imagedrive or alcohol etc. only dt and it should work fine

    I meant the clone release with both crack and emu, not this one. its essencially the same thing only deal is that its not an original iso, they added the crack.

    I have the ViTALiTY crack and I’m in the process of getting the JFKPC clone release. Hopefully either solution (crack/emu) works for me.

    I was able to make it work… I used the JFKPC clone release mounted with daemon tools 3.7. I then used the ViTALiTY crack and created a shortcut to the exe so I could add the -RUNME switch. It seems as if 3 out of the 4 characters work fine, the blonde chick character crashes to desktop after the opening video.

    I tried everything, just like Leon I downloaded the latest deamon tool and yasu, but it wont work.
    Then I grabbed the crack from Gamecopyworld (both of ‘em),

    You guys know that this is Artificial’s flagship game…? Their whole team of 20+ members are all in their twenties. This makes them some of, if not the youngest development team in the states. So if you are looking forward to this game or think that it looks fun please go out and support small developers by buying this game!

    Do not download it illegally.

    KidKobun smaller developers are actually supported more by piracy because it grows the brand and increases market distribution for future franchise games. I do agree though, if the game is worth playing then buy it. But for the few moments I was able to make this game work, it really wasn’t that great. It’s a bad console port in which they were too lazy re-create UI and control scheme elements which make it rather ackward on the PC.

    And I take back what I said about making it work, it crashes randomly during the second level by turning off the signal from the video adaptor. I had to hard reset. It’s obvious ViTALiTY’s crack is a piece of shit, even though using it was the closest I’ve come to playing this game. Can’t wait to see the HATReD nfo flame on the PROPER of this crack.

    Kjartan, don’t worry about that… it’s not you, it’s the game code… few people got this work even on 32bit OS, xp or vista… try the next proper cracked version… like we all :)

    This game looks like it could have been fun, but it turns out tobe a dud…
    I have the Demo on my 360, and after playing it, I came to the conclusion, this game was boring, even on a console… I’d hate to see how it plays on a PC….

    Thanks for the response MadCow. The guys (and girl) are awesome peoples and they worked hard as hell to get this game out. I hope that you do not think that the version you have running is the final released version though. I just want to make sure that everyone does their part in actually buying the game rather than just illegally downloading it. After all it is in the EULA.

    typical low quality crap crack like always from vitality , lets see if there will be hopefully soon a real crack from a elite grp like reloaded hatred or razor1911 instead of those lame workarounds vitality does where not even 1 protection feature is removed , no wonder that they pack their .exe files with a .exe packer (upx) to hide that even ppl that have no assembler knowledge could see that their so called cracks are 7-8 mb bigger than the original .exe
    file and that on every game they do.my grandma even knows that when you remove protection code that a file doesnt gets bigger that only happens when you do lame workarounds like them , therefor double funny that they especially are the ones using crappiest “crack” methods but have the biggest mouths in their nfos

    @KidKobun, I may agree with you on the fact there was people that worked hard on this title. Unfortunately, it seems as if it was a common mis-directed effort in game design. The artwork is absolutely amazing, so kudos in that regard. However, the fundamental gameplay was most often reduced to circle strafing while clicking the left mouse button. I found that the monster token idea, while interesting in regards to making your own weapons, substantially took away from the immersion of the game by having them spew out of every dead monster you kill. Using the environment as physic mapped weapons was more of a gimic than a functional way to play the game.

    Again, if there was a more functional release I might have another go, but my attention span for games is rather small. I choose to ‘illegally download’ because I refuse to pay 60 dollars on a game I’ll only end up playing for an hour or two. Game demos are often non-functional and unrepresentational of thier full-game counterparts. The games that truely captivate me into playing multiple hours will always get my money in the end, as I will want additional content and online play features.

    Just a final note: I wouldn’t use the EULA as any argument against piracy. People around here have probably read a 100 NFO files for every EULA they’ve ever read. Developers know that not even 2% of thier ‘end users’ will ever even read the EULA and have abused them as such for years.

    Guys, as for me, nothing worked, not the vitality crack, not the -runme method.
    The patch exists.

    After the patch and hatred crack, that madcow mentioned, everything began to work.
    To change resolution go to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\ArtificialStudios\MonsterMadness, then open MonsterEngine.ini
    Find [WinDrv.WindowsClient], and where you will see the line that determines the resolution.

    I have both versions of the game (vitality,jfkpc), but neither works, tried to cross things (like jfkpc version, 1.1 update and hatred patch….ect..), but those don’t work either.I can start the game with the -runme command, but after I click on the first mission map, or ’start game’ in versus mode, it crashes. Either I’m getting a blue screen telling me that my vidcard driver stopped(nv4_disp.dll) or a general protection fault, and then no signal(but xp was still running, because I could shut down my pc with the power button on my keyboard.).

    My specs.: ASUS P5N32-E SLI PLUS ; Intel C2D 6300 @ 2,1GHZ ; FSB=1200 ; ASUS GeForce 8800 GTX ; 2×512 Mb RAM ; Windows XP SP2.

    I hope somebody has an idea or three.

    Just wanted to share that now with Loin´s help (BIG THX) I can play on 1680×1050 w/o any probs.

    DT+YASU+JFKPC did not work

    JFKPC+PATCH+HaTRED did not work, had to add -RUNME -IGNOREDISKCHECK

    Ran only windowed 640×480, now edited MonsterGame.INI … NOW OK!

    … but the Game´s not the bomb! I experience that “the game” is not the software you dl to play, but to get things running proper. Sometimes just a Point&Click Adventure …

    I have a nVidia 8800 GT 320. The XMV (or cutscenes) won’t run unless you are on a driver that is digitally signed by windows. Just to let anyone who’s having problems with the cutscenes know. (The unsigned driver is the 158.22 forceware, it won’t render the xmv cutscenes) so roll back the driver if you get a black screen with few red pixels.

    just tried the savegame problem
    works just like loin said just create a folder caled SaveData

    i’m playing the vitality version wich works fine with me
    extracted the files installed the game and ran the update
    start the game with the included command file and voila no problemo.
    as for the windowed version try to hit ctrl + enter to switch to fullscreen
    only problem is the configuration of the keys etc.

    Did not work for me. Got the vitality Release with the missing rar files. Installed the game, updated the game to v1.01 and used HATRED with parameters. Got a general protection fault from Monstergame exe file if I remember correctly. Launcher worked, change resolution but game did not load..

    still crap 4 me, tried all, getting BSODs with stop error in nv4_disp.dll. I read in another forum, that te Geforce 8800 GTX doesnt get along with high-speed ddr2 rams, and since i’m using that, maybe that’s the problem. Now only testing the game W/o intel speedstep, but if it fails, gonna take out 1 ram, or put it in another slot.

    The game runs but i have some problems

    I use JFKPC+PATCH 1.01+HaTRED 1.01 with -RUNME -IGNOREDISKCHECK

    Edited the MonsterEngine.ini and changed the resolution aswell as fullscreen mode.

    Also have the Save folder created

    The game works BUT, Zombies are all black/metall looking aswell as alot of the objects. When clearing the first boss and entering the streets i have like 30yard radius which is black, no textures on alot of objects etc. So some sort of graphic problem.

    My hardware is Intel C2duo 6600 with Corsair 4*1gb ddr2800 and Leadtek 8800 GTX on drivers 6.14.11.5822, xp 64 sp2

    So kinda strange problems.

    When I installed the game, on 1 occasion, it ran, but it crashed, when I attempted to start a game. And on the main screen the zombies were normal colored, but then I tweaked the ini files, and that’s when the zombies turned metal colored.

    Something I set made the engine faulty, dont remember what I tweaked though.

    Turns out that I DID backup my .ini files, for future debugging, just installed the game (again) and will apply the patches, etc, then run it. Eventually I’ll find what differs from the .ini file I modded, and the original, so I could tell you what to do.

    OK, The game works…kinda

    Started from desktop, language selection pooped up, then Launcher runs (downloaded a hacked launcher), configured the game, launcher is almost fully functional, but you can’t change the controls, the apply button doesn’t work there (pity, you can mod the ini-s), Pressed play, I was greeted with a 1280*1024 Title screen, worked for 5 seconds, but 4 some reason, it froze there :(
    Ctrl+Alt+Del showed that Monstergame.exe was on 99%.

    JFKPC+1.1+HATERD crack+New hacked launcher=almost working
    (sorry eeid, cause I didn’t get to the main screen, didn’t see the zombie that was metal or not, but I think that it’s a Light or Negative LOD issue.

    Okay, so far I learned a few things:
    If anyone can launch the launcher (besides me) then uncheck post-processing there, it worked for me when the game froze up 5 secs after start,
    The game works again to the Main menu, but I) get a good old BSOD with a STOP error in nv4_disp.dll
    Gonna look for answers at IRC and on their website.

    Hello Eiid and everybody!
    I’ve finally managed to run the game.
    I’m not a dick, so I’ll tell you everything with my best effort and knowledge, to help you with this great, but not-working game.

    If anyone has High-speed DDR2 rams, then don’t put them in linked (A1 and B1 slot for example),because it WILL cause errors, when you have a Geforce 8800 GTX Graphics Card (I don’t know if this will solve the problem, if you have 2 8800GTX cards in SLI OR have another type of 8 series cards (8800 GTS, 8600 for example)

    This might solve the issue. If you don’t use Gf 8 Series cards or High-speed DDR2 rams IN link mode, then that’s another problem I didn’t have. I can only say, what others said: DL the 1.1 patch, and the crack for it, then DL the new cracked loader (mentioned above), Use the parameters -RUNME and -IGNOREDISKCHECK in the game’s shortcut.

    If that solved the problem, then spare some time in between zombie killing, and write here, that this helped you.

    Well there is another problem…
    All of my pc is made of ASUS and crap, and when you don’t see nv4_disp.dll BSOD-s, you see atkdisp.dll BSOD-s.
    that problem can be solved by:
    1. Uninstalling any and all ASUS utilitys (especially smartdoctor, cause it’s it’s dll)
    2. Deleting the atkdisp.dll file from the windows/system32 folder (or where it’s located)

    haven’t tried the game yet, because i’ve fallen back enough in line for something…., so maybe tomorrow, i’ll tell you the results

    ps. I got trough 3 chapters and it is a good game, and child’s play is too easy, and maybe because it’s an xbox port (almost fully, WTF???), maybe the cheats work (larry(in-game shop owner and ****) told me the combination, stupiiid larry :D)

    but if it doesn’t then I have a theory. The most times a bsod with nv4disp.dll problem comes up, the game uses Unreal engine 3! What if the engine itself is faulty, and with something acting as a catalyser, like an RAM or a Video Card, it instantly fails?

    dudes, use thte crack foundin the #82 coment to config the game, then use the soft called joytokey to assing the controls,
    my pc sucks and the game run well, hope that helped, and don’t give up

    Did we ever fix the problem where the game loads, and plays, but is verrrryyy laggy? Even the menu lags/stutters. Ive tried all the command lind parameters, all the cracks, etc. Any help at all?

    zombies are metal colored please help.
    textures are black .. Same as Eiid's problem :(
