MOFA RACER-POSTMORTEM
German scene group POSTMORTEM released a minor gaming title Mofa Racer. It’s almost impossible to find any English info about this game, but although it’s mainly Deutsch game, it contains other languages including English as well. Anyway, if you like motorcycles and racing, this could be a simple game to kill some time. I was unable to find any actual images from the game so if someone stumbles over any screenshots, please post them in comments.

Anyway, tried the game and it worked well ony my crappy pc.
Win Xp ; 1,5(1,25)gb ram ; Ati Radeon 9600 Pro 128mb with 256mb AGP ; AMD 2500+ Athlon XP (Barton model) overclocked 400mhz (2.2ghz)
I set graphics to high and resolution 1280×1024 and it ran with 30 fps smooth.
The game itself has got 5 different gameplay options(Single rally ; Time Trial ; Championchip ; LAN Game and good old split screen 2 Player mode.
You can choose from 5 different mofas and there are 6 levels.
The controlling is really arcade-like and easy but little bit too boring. The sounds are bad, music is silly and it’s same stylish all the time.

Perhaps I skipped some comments, but I didn’t see anyone ever explaining what the term “MoFa” stands for.
I searched it out, and when I got to understand what it means it came to me as very obvious actually. The whole game-idea and how they try to stand out as unique amongst thousands of similar games is already revieled if you just study the cover/poster of the game close enough.
“MoFa” is short for “Motor-Fahrrad” which is german for “Motorized Bike”. BUT - don’t be fooled by it’s name! Whenever germans use the term “MoFa” it is in most cases to be assosiated with “mopeds” or in other words; low speed engined motor cycles with equal or under 50 cubics.
So I guess that’s what this game is all about. I picture a race where the contestants drive on small, crowded and unconventional tracks, such as alleys and tiny but busy town squares, rummaging through a flock of people.
Now these are just my thoughts, so don’t get your hopes high just yet…
Remember folks: size doesn’t matter. Even though the group that made this game isn’t actually reknowned as other groups may be - remember that everyone’s gotta start somewhere.
I believe that even though you read or heard someones opinion about it somewhere, you won’t actually know if it’s good or not - before you try it yourself!
And another note:
IF YOU LIKED IT - BUY IT! SUPPORT THE GAMING SOCIETY BEFORE IT’S TOO LATE TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT! Keep in mind that there are actually people spending time and effort for us to enjoy gaming…
