MLB Power Pros 2008 USA PS2DVD – iMARS
We rarely, if ever, handle PS2 releases, but I think this one is worthy of it. I’m sure I’m not the only one out there who lives off his modified PS2 at times. And it’s a slow day here(seems like it’s been pretty slow the last week or two, actually, but what can you do?), so I figure nothing would be hurt in posting it. MLB Power Pros is one of the gems that’s kind of come out of the PS2’s later life span. Also released on Wii(and this year, DS), Power Pros is a game that uses the engine of a hugely successful Japanese series, Jikkyou Powerful Pro, only modified to American tastes. Extremely quirky and extremely fun, the first one had the… as far as I can remember, first RPG mode in an American baseball game, where you had to go through college, training to try to make it in Major League Baseball. It was a blast and a change of pace from the average baseball game. The new version promises new modes, and sounds awesome.
MLB Power Pros 2008 is the sequel to MLB Power Pros. It is a baseball video game developed by Konami for Nintendo’s Wii and the Sony PlayStation 2 video game consoles and is part of the traditionally Japan-only Jikkyō Powerful Pro Yakyū series of video games. It’s been announced that the game will be released on July 29th, 2008, and will be published by 2K Sports. The game will retain the same look, feel, and gameplay as its predecessor, but will feature updated rosters, new modes (such as MLB Life), new features (in-game bullpen control), among others.

The graphics on this game look weak, but the Wii version is one of the best baseball games i’ve played. The pitching system is amazing. Great game.

i hope shouting helps a little bit, for an example where is the 2nd episode of the new monk /psych season? why are tv shows only posted when you feel funny? this goes for nearly every tv release… seriously i don’t care what releases you cover, i know where to look but i hate it when you write ‘it has been a slow week or two’ that is just bs.
Awesome game, combines Japanese story telling with RPG type stat building.
Where is the torrent? This one looks like serious fun. I already have a same sort of game, but in Japanese and for the Dreamcast. Developed by Smilebit, makers of Jet Set Radio.

Can anyone tell me how to get this to work in my PS2??? I burned the ISO Files to a Dvd disc with Nero Burning Rom and everything seemed to go fine, it said burning was successful. However when I put the disc into the Playstation 2 it flashes “reading disc” for a very quick second, and then doesn’t do anything, just like if there was no disc inserted. I’m assuming that the playstation can’t read the disc. Any ideas? I’ve been burning movies for years but this is the first game I’ve ever downloaded and tried to burn, so this is a bit “new” to me. I would appreciate any help or advice that anyone may have. Thanks!
@Sdeprivatei, Search the web for info about modchip/gameshark etc. You didn’t expect the evil SONY Corp. to offer you a console that will allow you to play p!r8ed games right out of the box did you?
Tips: Burnig PS2 images is better done with DVD Decrypter (9/10 pts) or ImgBurn (8.9/10 pts)at a VERY LOW SPEED (1-2x) as the PS2 image does NOT contain error correction data like your normal data disks. Best of luck.

You need FreeMCBoot – http://www.psx-scene.com/forums/freevast/ and ESR.
They will exploit your ps2 and allow you to play backups.
Also burn your games at around half of the discs rated speed – for a typical 16x disc burn it at 8x. for a 8x disc burn it at 6x for best results.

I figured that downlaoding the file and simply burning it to disc seemed way too simple of a task to pirate a playstation game! I’m off to try out your suggstions and I’ll let you know how I make out with everything! Thanks again you guys! This site is so awesome!
