Sorry for the late post, i just woke up and saw this pre an hour ago. We posted the 360 version a long time ago and now here’s the PC version. I knew many people were waiting for this as soon I saw all the spam comments about this on other posts. Brought to you by RELOADED.

    I think the physx is in all pc versions and you have the option to turn it off or on.

    Where did you get that Mirrors Edge had different PC versions just to turn Physyx on? That video only show Physyx on/off so I'm guessing the game has an option to switch between this two.

    Ah, if you don't have a physics card, be sure to manually disable Physics [something] in the options menu, or the game will crash randomly.

    also, this is much, much simpler and more amusing with a mouse then with a gamepad.

    you dont need a physx card, you just need a Nvidia card. The random crashing is with having physx on period, they released a 1.0.1 patch right after it was released to fix this, still waiting for a crack for 1.0.1 so I can enjoy the physx. :)

    I think the Crack isn't working fine, because at some point the game just slows down down and i can't jump anymore, so i can't go on.

    Did anybody notice the same effect?

    Still great game, espeacially with mouse and keyboard just awesome.

    this game started out great. it defaulted to 1920×1080 on my 61inch samsung at max high quality with 8x AA on my gtx 260 and it ran SUPER FAST AND SMOOTH unlike other games released lately *cough* gta5 *cough* saints row that just run like crap no matter what, im running around dying constantly learn ing to play then FREEZE game locks up. game locks up approx every 2 minutes. now here we are again a game does not work at launch. ohh i gotta turn of physx?? well if physx dont work why is it included!?!?! dont anyone test games before releasing them anymore? geez its no wonder consoles are destroying pcs in the game market its cause of all these god awful halfdone beta ports!!!

    Yup, there seems to be an overlooked ingame check (just like in GTA)… damn.
    But performance and stability wise, the game works great on the highest settings on an ATI card (you don't get that too often in the past weeks it seems)

    EA just released a fix for the crashing issue. Turns out any system with hardware PhysX capabilities just couldn't run the thing without crashing. You can get the 1.0.1 patch at:

    It works for a bit longer with the new patch (the old crack works with it) but the game, even with the patch, is VERY unstable and I can't get through the second level. Every time the chopper enters my field of vision, it freezes.

    Works really well with max graphics. I have a Q6600 CPU, Club 3D 8800GT 512Mb GPU and 4Gb of some crappy old RAM.

    But I must say that the game so far has treated me like a moron, whats up with this teletubby like repeating on the tutorial bit of the game. Field of view is crappy too.. Feels as tho I'd have a box over my head with one side cut out. FOV should be adjustable! Looks really nice tho.

    Oh and bryguy, 61inch? Mines bigger! (even tho it has nothing to do with how the game runs) and its GTA IV as in 4!

    yay. i just spent an hour trying to figure out why my game was crashing at the 3rd chapter. INSTALL THE PATCH 1.01 – works with the crack! game performance is soo much better plus no crash with physX.

    I'm hearing a lot of complaints about the game freezing up or slowing down after the first level even with the new patch. Can anyone else verify this?

    If you are experiencing problems with game freezes on Vista try alt+ctrl+del and then press 'Cancel' (you really don't wanna show task manager or other crap) then game should work till another freeze (repeat the same procedure). though this is pain in ass :|

    Try this if you are getting slow motion on lvl 3.
    Go to \My documents\EA Games\Mirror's Edge\TdGame\Config and open TdInput.ini

    Now ontop of all the "Bindings" line's copy and paste this:

    Bindings=(Name="F1",Command=""slomo 1.0",Control=False,Shift=False,Alt=False)

    Now if it slows down press F1 and it should resume to normal speed. Lemme know if it works or not, havent gotten that far yet.

    Alright, for those not willing to read, a little help:

    +++ If you experience random crashes or freeze-ups ingame.+++
    Step 1 – Download the 1.0.1 patch and install it. Reaplly the crack that came with the download.
    Step 2 – If that didn't solve it, go to the ingame menu and under Graphics, disable Physics.

    +++ If you have a strange slowdown on the start of level 3 +++
    No workaround yet. This problem seems similar to the Starmap problem on Mass Effect (aka Jerusalem Disease)

    Ehh, ofcourse it has everything to do with the CPU, GPU and RAM if were talking about how well something runs.

    and for the textures: IMHO, the textures are plain and boring.

    Oh and one more thing, the part about the TV was just to piss bryguy off. Who wants some crappy 61" plasma screen? Oh yeah its good for viewing stills but other than that, it sucks ballas.

    btw, I got a 37" Philips FullHD TFT screen. It's not that big but anything bigger would of looked nasty with a small resolution like 1920×1080. We need more pixels for larger TV's!

    its amusing how many ppl claim that patching to 1.01 and then re-applying the 1.0 crack supposedly fixes the PhysX errors.
    since the patch only replaces the .exe, this is simply impossible because after applying the crack again, you're back at version 1.0.
    but if it makes you feel smart, keep coming with the ridiculous "ideas".

    anyone knows how the hell to set the initial resolution of this pos? Not letting me choose a language for the game is one thing, not creating any shortcuts in the start menu is another, but i'm not even able to freakin' start it cuz for some god-only-knows reason it seems to enter into some resolution my monitor does not support! can't even get back out to the desktop, the only thing i can do is to press reset…

    That's because all the patch does is replace the main exe file in the binaries folder. When you re-apply the crack, you're replacing version 1.01 of the executable with the original buggy version 1 so you're effectively removing the patch. The only way it will be fixed is with a new crack.

    I play the game with PsyX on and the game randomly always goes to menu, dont know why, because when i switched PsyX off it still doing :-( (( Just play for a while and then bum and i am in game menu without anything…. BTW game never slow down for me and which is that famous curse level ?

    Ok, i found out where is my stop :-( I think its chapter one, when i get to water channel, then run throw it to the house, turn gas off and then jump over 3 pipes to the ventilation. Always on those 3 pipes game crash to menu, cant get over it no matter if Psyx is on or off :-( (( Any help ?

    It's nuked. Thats why you get the slowmo in lvl3. Not all safety triggers have been removed yet. Wait for the new proper crack. Hopefully 1.01 by that time.

    Ok, i found out where is my stop :-( I think its chapter one, when i get to water channel, then run throw it to the house, turn gas off and then jump over 3 pipes to the ventilation. Always on those 3 pipes game crash to menu, cant get over it no matter if Psyx is on or off :-( (( Any help ?

    Yeah I think the sound is weird in this game. The effects are so loud, you can't hear the dialogue. Even with dialogue volume turned up to max…

    Tried playing with my Logitech Dual Action gamepad and won't really work.

    The left stick doesn't react as it should be… I press it up, I move backwards… I press it down, I move forward… when I switch the stick with the D-pad I can move normally with the D-pad…

    Also it works normal when I switch the left and the right stick…

    It's really annoying.

    Bad crack? Or faulty game?

    There are a number of games that are not working real well with Nvdia Physx enabled cards, and simply disabling it doesn't work. Note that there is a new Physx version released just this week, after the latest drivers, but I dont think it will help. There appears to be a fundamental issue with Physx and some games.

    Some people have reported success by reverting back to older geforce drivers. The drivers before Physx was packaged along with it. The people who have older Nvidia gpu's that dont support Physx are not having these problems.

    I can confirm that this game crashes (freezes) randomly around the helicopter scene on level 2. Turning of PhysX in the game's video options seems to have stopped this for now.
    At the start of level 3, you loose the ability to run and jump – likely bad crack. Patching is pointless. Wait for 1.01 crack.

    My Specs: QX8650 3.0Ghz – 2GB DDR3 CORSAIR – 2x GTX280 SLi etc …

    From the latest Nvidia PhysX drivers (9.09.0010) release notes:
    -Resolves occasional system crashes when PhysX is enabled on some systems when running on EA’s Mirrors Edge.

    Haven't tried it yet.

    I'm guessing you have "My documents" pointing to a folder other than the default. This is an issue with Unreal Engine 3 that has somehow gone unnoticed by most, where if you have My Docs in some other location (I have it as E:/) it cant create the folders there for the config/save files.

    You have to manually create these folders in My Documents:
    \EA Games\Mirror's Edge\TdGame

    Then within TdGame, i know the config folder is simply "Config", but I have yet to figure out what the save data folder is. Ask around with other people who have the game and see if you can get someone to tell you what the fodler heirarchy is within TdGame so you can manually create it. I'm doing the same, but havent had any luck yet.

    So guys, as far as almost anyone with a brain can tell. This crack is nuked, you cant get passed 3rd chapter, Disabling PhysX gets past most Of the Crashes.

    So now, JUST WAIT FOR A REAL CRACK. Probs Razor1911 who release a real one.

    XP supports upto 3 gig, just get 2×512 more to keep dual channel.

    As for mirror's edge crashing! I had constant crashing throughout the first levels with physx enabled. I switched it off, it's now runs fine. I'm playing the bit with the second helicopter shooting at me, I haven't a clue which level it is.

    Weird. Why so many people have problem with the with freezes and such? My processor is survived the UDSSR (AMD XP 3800+) got 2gig of lame Corsair RAM running at 400Mhz and a Geforce 9800GTX+. I run it at 50FPS with max. details 2x AA and 1280*1024.
    Anyway… hopefully a crack will come out sometime soon.
    Right now i think i saw more of the 3rd chapter then 99% of you. xD
    Made it on the 4th roof. Somehow… it started to slow down when i reached the pipes. Took me some tries though.^^

    People, NOBODY can get past the slowdown on the third level.

    Disabling the Physics is the only working way to even get to that point for ALL non-physix users, and most build-in physix users.

    Other then that, any problems are purely with your machine and/or the sometimes sketchy collision detection.

    Just so you know, reloaded didn't do a proper crack. They did like they always do, emulated it. Which is why it is +20mb. Here to hoping that Vitality makes a proper crack and actually remove the DRM(And make fun of reloaded :P ). Cheers.

    Install routine is crashing at the beginning when the physx-installation comes up… someone have a parameter which workaround that bug? copying physx-setup-file on harddisk solves the crash but the game setup is still trying to start the physx-installer

    I've been playing this release for some time now, has been working 100% for me, no problems at all. Now, all of a sudden, after playing the time trials for some time, I am unable to speedjump over fences, I cant break through doors while running, cant multi jump, and cant climb walls. The game has been working very well since it first pre'd for me, apart from the physx thing and the level 4 glitch, this is a new one for me though. Anyone else got the same thing?

    Ok, update on the above, I hope that reloaded get onto this one, because it is a prick of a thing. Seems that there is another trigger in the game, like the one in level 4 that slows gameplay, only this one triggers somewhere in the Time Trials. Causes the controls to become very unresponsive, you can not run up a wall at all, and can not 180 off the wall, Can not run and punch a door open, and cant speed jump fences. I have pin pointed this down to the Time Trials, and have found that it corrupts a save game completely. I have tried other save games, then my one, and my one has been corrupted after hitting this trigger. Just a note to all here, back up your save game if this has not happened yet, you will lose everything, just like I did.

    I really hope that one of the release groups gets on top of this one, would be real nice of them. :)

    I cannot install the file. After mounting it says "cannot find file Command.c <%temp%/ixp002.tmp/w.bat>"
    I believe Avast deleted it mistakenly. Can someone post the temp folders called IXP000.tmp, IXP001.tmp and IXP002.tmp with all the files in them, because the ISO doesnt appear to run without them and it doesnt appear to re-create these files also.

    Please help.

    I downloaded the game, the ver. 1.01 patch, and the new crack (for patch 1.01).

    The game installed fine.
    I updated it to version 1.01.
    I copied the (new) crack and overwrote the original .exe in the Binaries folder.

    The problem I'm having is I can't run the game. I'm pretty sure I meet at least the minimum system requirements. When I try to run the game, I can't even get to the game's Main Menu (nor do I see any splash screen) because as the game attempts to load up, "MirrorsEdge.exe (apparently) encountered a problem and needs to close."

    Can anyone please help me out on this? I've already googled my problem and tried all the suggestions I've found.

    List of things I've tried but still didn't fix the problem:
    - Updated my videocard drivers (rebooted my computer afterwards)
    - Installed the latest .Net framework (also rebooted my computer after)
    - Deleted the "OpenAl32.dll" located in the game's installation folder.
    - Modified some entries in "TdEngine.ini" (one after another) that was suggested by some users online

    None of them worked.

    System Specs:
    Intel Core 2 Duo 2.13 GHz
    Win XP SP2
    2 GB RAM
    Radeon HD 3450
    More than enough disk space

    I cant even load the disk. Try look for that patch that disables the splash screen. I heard it causes problems for some people. Also try disable physX whish also seems to be a problem.

    I cant tell you HOW to disable the splash or PhysX because like I said, I cannot load the disk.

    Can you upload the /IXP*.TMP/ folders from your Temp files in return for my help?
