Awesome! I was just about to head off to bed and up came this brilliant release! Ive been waiting for this game for a long time now since i first saw the trailer for it and ive heard from friends that the demo was awesome too but i was too lazy to download the demo thought i’d wait for this, since i knew the full game wouldnt be too far away

I played the demo for this on the PS3 after seeing the commercial. It is a nice game. At first a little too hard to grasp the controls for a casual gamer like myself. But after a little while, I really got the hang of it and enjoyed it a lot. Great concept. Beautiful graphics (on PS3). I am sure the 360 version isn’t much different.

This is great, but I don’t own console. I’ve waited this game for a while now.
PC version will be out in few months. Hopefully they’ll do some maximum optimization rather than putting most of their effort on shipment and release on terrible port. Even so I’m sure it would be the same as it was with Assassin’s Creed – terrible port, but very popular game.
We’ll see.

I downloaded the demo and wasn’t impressed! No Guns!! No Shooting just running and jumping! Just call this tomb raider on rooftops! very poor oh well back to Gears Of War 2.
@26….you will get faster speeds than that but it also depends on what type of internet connection you have and the speed you have signed up for from your provider.
For me here in the U.S. for this sze of game it would take me 3 hours.

This is made on the Unreal engine, chances are it will run just as smooth as Unreal Tournament 3 does.
Not as much optimizing is needed between the platforms as most multiplatform games, the engine takes care of most of it.

No, i have a 16/1 MBit Connection but i only get an avg of 70 kb/s and max is 250 kb/s.
With Rapidshare i get full speed – 1,85 mb/s.
Is this because im connecting from Europe ?
Im asking also because im searching for an alternitive of RS.
With their new Policies and 2,66 GB / day limit im not gonna use it any more.

@48…I use to use rapidshare all the time then made the switch to Megashares b/c of the $25 for 6 months (can’t beat that price) and easy ability to search.
I say try and download when you go to bed. There should be less internet traffic and your speed will be faster and when you wake up….you will have the game!

Actually, the 360 version is a little different.. the graphics are better on it, as always
@48 I don’t think the MS speed is on your end, i’ve found the only time I ever get a decent speed from MS is first thing in the morning when the US is asleep. (I’m in UK) I get the full speed from Rapidshare but with the stupid capping VirginMedia has the only times I get max speed is after midnight.
I’d be luck to get 10mbit connection during the day as the other family member spend all day watching TV episodes on YouTube.

@60 I’m in the UK and if i have 2 or more Megashares links downloading at once, i seem to max out my 5-6mbit connection, night or day (though i get capped at 30GB per month between 8am & 12am). If i just have one link downloading, it doesn’t go as quickly.

It might be because the links are getting pounded. Megashares is probably the fastest service I have used, and it’s actually the only service I feel good paying money to.
With my connection, I regularly average about 1.2MB~1.6MB per sec. So a game takes me just under 2 hours to finish. It’s great, I love it.
Also, I don’t think it makes a difference, but are you on a paid account?

@65 Actually mate I have tried that but even with two downloads at the same time I only get max 1200kbps, when my max speed is at 2400kbps. This is the speed I acheive when using Rapidshare or in Megashare first thing in the morning, before the capping begings and my speed halfs and then halfs again, *lousy Virgin media),
But as I said after midnight I get max speed which is what i’m getting now on Rapidshare.
Oh and I use Flashgets for all my downloads, you’d be mad to download one by one, plus Iexplorer can’t handle 7gb files.
Yeah of course i hav a paid account. It must be some carrier or just server overload because now i am downloading with 600 kb/s, at least a third of what im getting with rapidshare.
That would be good enough for me if i would get this kind of speed all the time.

Tried it on XBOX360, but in all honesty, I think the PC version will kick all console versions asses, why?
This is one of those games where mouse aiming will make it a lot easier, aiming with a joystick just doesn’t cut it.
A joypad simply is too clumpsy to play this game.
If you’re the least bit interested in Le Parkour, get this game. It’s pretty faithful to free running in real life, all the basic moves are there (wall jumps, tumbles after landing, kicking your feet in front of you to clear obstacles). The story seems awesome as well, the graphics are fantastic, and the feeling of motion is unmatched in any other game. It’s not an Assassin’s Creed ripoff in the least bit. It controls entirely different, Mirror’s Edge feels just right somehow. From the way you turn while running to judging jump distances. The only thing lacking is the combat, but the point is to avoid combat anyway. Running from soldiers and finding ways to avoid them comprises the core of the game. DICE could have just made a city, the parkour moves, and nixed the combat and I’d still be happy. Fantastic game, much better than Gears 2. Also, modding your Xbox 360 is ridiculously easy. Even the hardest drive to flash, the Samsung 28 or whatever, just requires an eleven dollar PCI Sata card. It’s worth the investment.

This game looks great and I love the demo but the reviews are saying the story mode is REALLY short.. 6 hours tops. I don’t know any other modes (time trial maybe?) but I hope this isn’t the case.
Also Gears has alot of modes to keep people busy for a few months..
And flashing your 360 can be easy or hard or a nightmare depending of your technical know how and which drive you currently have. The new Liteon’s require even more hardware and have to be spoofed at the moment..

You have to modify your xbox360 -BUT you don’t need to install a modchip:
1) you need to connect your xbox360 DVD-Rom to the pc
2) you need to flash your dvd drive with a flashtool
3) you need a double layer dvd burner and a double layer dvd disc to burn the image.

with IXtreme 1.4 you are safe from banning, i played all the popular games and i never had any problems with xbox live so just make sure u have version 1.4 and u never have to buy a game for the xbox 360 anymore
