Any proof its backdoored? It seems quite strange to me that an old scene group would do such a thing? Or is it just because you want someone to go to your website and download your stuff? Which coincidentally when you search for something, always give you the same 65KB file???

I’m not sure but right after I installed this release I experienced a major slowdown on my PC, and the Windows Update service stopped working, after getting like 5 anti-virus softwares, Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware found Trojan.Vundo on my PC, still I’m not sure if it’s from this release but it’s highly possible.

Sigh, the torrent link is to piratebay, noticed it to late and now i have virus.
try the fawlkes patch its been works on all the newer versions it comes with 6.32 or 6.31
Dont download, i just spent a good 5 hours trying to fix my XP after installing this. Explorer constantly crashing with no error and then dissapearing completely.
After running cmd line in safe mode ran virus & malware scans with no results.
Re-formated with fresh XP SP3 in the end was only easy solution.
kaspersky 2009 shows its clean i didnt use the torrent link, i downloaded the mirc from mirc.com and just using keygen and patch, kaspersky shows clean so its good.

I got that Vundo thing in February. I spent all night trying to purge it, had it done finally 6 in the morning, using guides (sorry, can’t find ‘em anymore) on the internets and various rootkit removal tools.
…one month later I discovered that my WLAN still wouldn’t work, likely because of that virus.
So, better wipe your whole OS to be safe. :/
Can’t even trust Releaselog anymore…
Anyway, why get mIRC? Get SysReset instead.

Ya, Nod32 found VirtuMonde or whatever. Communists!! Just re installed XP a month ago because of this same virus. Not fun. I would hope that all options for checking against these types of issues would be explored prior to directing loyal visitors to a particular proggy.

Yeah, one (or maybe all) of the files in this release are packed with the Vundo trojan horse. Boot your computer up in safe mode with networking and download VundoFix and VirtumundoBegone to remove it if you’re infected. You might also have to remove some jibberish rundll32.exe entries in msconfig.exe afterwards.
Add myself to the list of people having problems with this torrent. It’s quite problematic and not worth the download.

uhh, i downloaded this through said torrent link above and it unleashed a trojan. just a warning, this virtuamonde trojan is rediculously hard to get rid of so i wouldn’t download this chat program if i were you. aloha
