This afternoon one of my fav. apps got updated – mIRC 6.32. A few hours later DVT got this cracked \o/

mIRC is a popular Internet Relay Chat client used by millions of people, and thousands of organizations, to communicate, share, play and work with each other on IRC networks around the world. Serving the Internet community for over a decade, mIRC has evolved into a powerful, reliable and fun piece of technology.

Note: Released on 05/22/08 for exclusive usage by members of the release scene. This isnt something to share with your school mates and not for sale. Go and ask mommy to buy this app if you like it!

    yes – authpatch may say virus – i am not sure if its one, since it could be the packer DVT used etc.

    It’s not a sodding virus! Just the code they use to patch the MiRC.exe file gets misinterpreted as something which cause damage to your PC… It works fine on my PC…

    There are MANY such scanners, for example: http://www.virustotal.com/ , http://www.viruschief.com/
    and many more. Just type something like “online file scanner” in Google – http://online.drweb.com/ , http://scanner.virus.org/ etc.

    It scans your upload with over 30 different programs, not sure if that what #24 used but VirusTotal is something similar.

    About a million time: THERE IS NO TROJAN EVEN YOUR FAULTY ANTIVIRUSES KEEPS SAYING SO! The reason virusprograms detects malware in some group keygens is just because of bad coding skills. When program HAS A CODELINE THAT ALLOWS IT TO MODIFY YOUR WINDOWS REGISTRY, VIRUSPROGRAM AUTOMATICALLY DETECTS IT AS BACKDOOR/TROJAN. There’s no harm. Nothing is left in the system. Just press ignore and enjoy the free software. This applies to ALL _____SCENE______ releases and I wont guarantee it for others but unless if it not posted here or you dont know scenegrps/recognize the real scene releases there’s always a place to support authors of software you’re about to use.

    Now can you please spread this info and keep omglolplxxiit trojanb comments away from here finally? :)

    Use a keygen and use a common name, eg. Mark Smith, and you’ll be fine! No need for a patch at all.

    my comp stopped working exactly 1 hour after i installed this, dunno if it was because of it.
    after system recovery 12 hours to the past, it works again.
