The trick with the boxers who become ‘weak’ and can’t lift the girl is an old sideshow trick. Derren draws our attention with a big show of looking intensely into the boxers eyes and saying they will become weak. He stands behind them miming magiciany movements.
The actual trick is that the girl (his assistant) first allows the boxers to pick her up. When they are supposed to become weak, she adjusts her hands slightly, so she is holding the boxers lower bicep, just above the elbow. This subtle move means that leverage is working against the boxers because they are trying to lift at near full arm extension a weight of 50kilos (100lbs) or so – which is near impossible.

Whoever: I reckon the main issue with this show is that at first glance it appears to be faked. In reality all the stuff he does is explainable – the only ‘trick’ played is that the show is edited so you don’t always see the full scenario.
E.g: Touching the strippers
One way of doing the trick is a ’split time’ approach, where what happens for the subject is different for the observers. Derren asks the girl to close her eyes. He then ‘adjusts’ the position of her hands, sneakily giving her 3 taps. He then pauses for a moment, then makes a big point of 3 non-contact taps.
She opens her eyes. “How many taps?” This clip is edited so we don’t see the adjustment and sneaky taps.
i think it’s still a decent show compared to ‘mind freak’, it’s sooo fake, and all the people in that show are stooges, im pretty sure most if not all of the people in this show are not stooges.
So this guy is trying to mind control some strippers ? Well that’s REALLY easy. All you need is some cash. Anyone can do it.
