Mind Control with Derren Brown S01E02 WS DSR XviD-SYS
Here’s something to mention, one of my most ponderous shows I like to watch – Mind Control with Derren Brown, I have been carefully going over the scenes in his shows and his film “Inside Your Mind (2003)” [torrent]. I noticed someone mention in the last post of this show’s comments about the scenes. Well they’re not all new material, it’s just been recut for sci-fi and the material is from Derren’s film, and his British show, Trick Mind (if I recall correctly).
Lying Car Salesman: Three used car salesmen become subjects for an experiment; a woman is immobilized with ease; phantom limb syndrome is examined with an amputee; an attempt to fool a cashier is attempted.

I agree with Tom…I think this show is staged. But there will always be people to believe in magic and this kind of stuff, so cheers to him making money off of the idea.

Derren Brown is a psychologist. He uses predictive psychology to achieve a end. Some of you see magic lol. There is no illusion and there is no camera tricks. I have seen one of his live shows, he’s a clever fella. We are all just monkeys.

He says at the start of every show that it’s fake, in the sense that it’s not “magic”. He also doesn’t use fake members of the public.
He uses a mixture of hypnosis, psychology, reading body language and misdirection. He’s also realy good at slight of hand if I recall (lifting wallets, watches, ect).
I love some of the practical jokes he has done, like making the woman think she was dead or the kid think he (derren) had removed the sun. All shown all explained but still really funny.
I hope to see one of his live shows to see if this is all nothing but a gimmick. Anyone can be hynotized if they are willing to be.

OMG you idiots, you gotta atleast watch the show before you can complain about it.
There is no magic invovled. It has nothing to do with magic or special powers.
The guy is extremely good at reading body language and is very skilled at persuasion, he’s also an incredible pick pocket.
Got the mind control night, from the UK, there’s “6″ episodes of it, mostly what he’s doing o nthis US version of the show.
And again, if you actually WATCHED it, you’d see him say FIRST, he doesn’t have special magically powers, and he literally explains EVERYTHING he’s doing.
Personally, I do believe there’s atleast a FEW plants in each episode, but you also need to understand what he’s doing, and you’d need to watch it first.
In the UK version he actually EXPLAINS how to do some of the things he does.
All you need to do is get the same books he used to learn the skills, and spend, oh god, 30 years perfecting it.
Aswell, of course each segment shows him doing it right, do you think they’d show you the 50 or so people he CAN’T pull this shit on?
Why on earth would you come take the time to post a stupid pointless complaint about a show you have never watched?
It makes sense tho, anyone that’s complaining about this is simply to stunned and uneducated to see what he;s doing, you’d be a perfect candidate for one of this shows, the dumber you are, the faster and better it works.
