Hey! Group STaNDaLONE pre’d the XP SP3 finally :) Enough said about it actually so I wont go into any detail anymore now…

Windows® XP Service Pack 3 (SP3) includes all previously released updates for the operating system. This update also includes a small number of new functionalities, which do not significantly change customers’ experience with the operating system.

Note: Microsoft you lamers why release it on msdn AFTER general release, are you insane??

    SP3 through windows download center is expected to be around 580 mb. Why the size difference?

    The core system file (kernel) used to start this computer is not a Microsoft Windows file. The service pack will not be installed. For more information, see Knowledge Base article Q327101 at http://support.microsoft.com.

    Hmmm,is this really worth it?..I would maybe wait until your next crash and reinstall with SP3 on an installation disk. I am using Corporate….looks like a typical Microsoft situation going on here, why bother….BS, BS, BS!!!!

    i downloaded 98 percent of this in 10 minutes now i have been stuck at 98% for 15 hours.please seed this. or dont bother downloading this until you see it seeded at 100% a waste of time.

    It doesn’t give you a language option, so I believe it’s only english. I installed this and now FireFox won’t connect and I REALLY REALLY don;t want to be stuck using IE…anyone having this problem?

    Really recommend making your own window install with nlite and slipstreaming service packs and drivers. You can make installation unattended, reinstalling windows is almost painless.

    Downloaded from the rlslog links. It installed fine.

    I will say that there is a very noticeable difference in system speed. A difference for the better….

    Also, as a note to those using the UXTheme multi-patch: This SP will overwrite the patch. You will NOT be able to use custom themes or repatch using the old patcher. This made me angry so I modified it to work in SP3.
    If you’d like, I can up it……

    Anyone knows do we need ‘updated’ TCP/IP connection limit fix for sp3 final or existing patcher from http://www.lvllord.de/ (for sp2) works fine?

    Installed sp3 and of course after this im getting ‘tcp/ip connection limit warnings’

    Same Tcp/Ip http://www.lvllord.de/ will be used to change the Connection limit from 10 to 100 or whatever u like to

    For Torrents 100 is best @ 512kbps + Connection

    I have uploaded This Service pack at my Hosting Download it and Install with ease rather than torrents.

    This works great i got rs links from rlslog they work great i installed and works great I Have noticed a big defference more responsive like 10% more its sick and awesome boot sup faster shuts down faster its just pure awesome get now

    for once, the knowledge base article really is useful!!
    the error comes because you’ve customised the windows startup (changed the screens or something..):
    “This behavior may occur if the computer has a modified version of the Ntoskrnl.exe file that uses the /KERNEL switch in the Boot.ini file. This condition may exist because the computer has a third-party program installed that customizes the graphics that are displayed when your computer starts. Third-party programs that can cause this condition include the following:
    • BootXP
    • LogonUI Boot Randomizer”
