Microsoft Windows XP Professional Student Edition SP3 Integrated-ETH0

As expected, popular ETH0 group released proper version of Win XP Pro with Service Pack 3 integrated. Don’t let “Student Edition” tag in the name fool you. Under the hood it’s same version as Corporate Edition, but this “Student” doesn’t require any WGA cracks, activations or whatever. Best part is this copy will be recognized as legit one (Genuine) - means that (future) updates (from Windows Update) will work fine. So, download, burn, install - and after all enjoy! ;-)

P.S. In download links I’ve provided torrent for “Corporate Edition” too, just in case if you want it.

    Can anyone confirm that Micro$oft Validation reports it as a Genuine product? I can’t check since I have some kind of messup with the ActiveX :/

    I can confirm that this is recognized as a Genuine product from the M$ site, allowing me to download all things for which a validation of your Windows is needed, like IE7, WMP11 etc.

    I still haven’t worked around my activex, since I was eager to test if the Windows Updater was working also.

    Because we have no clue if some Joe Schmoe slapped that together, if he removed anything that we might need or if it even works. With scene releases the are quality standards that groups should try to comply to.

    @steveo You could try the latest edition of TinyXP. It’s got all the useless crud stripped out and comes with about 300MB of drivers instead…

    Alternately if you want a really mini version (i.e 143MB) try searching for TinyXP Beast Edition. Not sure if there’s an SP3 edition out yet tho.

    @70 you’ll need an app that acts as a virtual drive to mount the .iso and install without a drive. I use poweriso and nero usually, but this free microsoft app does the trick as well- http://www.majorgeeks.com/download4402.html

    I very much doubt you can do a proper install via mounting the image as you need to boot from the disc to install XP properly. Running the setup from your desktop just allows you to repair or upgrade the OS (in my experience).

    The last Student Edition of XP I got from eth0 didn’t need a serial during install, or to be activated and passed WGA upon updating, as the version I have is not an integrated version that they so often release.

    I doubt, on many fronts, this version will be any different.

    When I say integrated I mean integrate with the month’s updates, not integrated as this is with XP SE & SP3. Just to clarify.

    RTHO Corporate Pro version works fine. ininstalled it this morning. i use my own serial number which is still asked midway through the install. as all the updates are already integrated nothing apart from the April Malicious Software update is required soon as the WGA update is done from WindowsUpdate.

    other than that its all pretty much the same if you’ve been doing the updates on previous Windows installs.

    it also has no IE7 or the latest Media Player, none of which particularly bothered me as i dont use them as they are crap

    i believe the absence of IE7 and the latest Media Player are the result of anti-trust rulings, ie, they had to unbundle them from the main OS. you can get them down from the Windowsupdate.com site as non-critical updates is you feel the overwhelming need to use IE or Media Player

    theres lots of people asking stupid questions that have already been answered if they could be bothered reading the comments.

    1)Yes, it works fine.(and of course theres no 30 day activation)
    2)No, IE7 and WMP11 arent included (but you can dl them from MSupdates if you want).
    3)If you dont know what to do with an ISO then you shouldn’t really be downloading

    Oops - that MS link is not the RTM version but one of the RC versions. I’ll wait for RTW, should be today or tomorrow.

    As for IE7 - it’s never been planned to be part of SP3, you just update to it if you want to. Some people don’t and it’s still quite unpopular.

    Hi I installed this on my mac via BootCamp. Turns out I messed up on the initial installation and didn’t format the partition for Windows. Now when i try to reboot into Leopard it won’t work. Found this on Apple’s support site http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=306580

    It’s not a simple matter to integrate IE7 into an XP installation CD. In fact, if you are running IE7, you will need to uninstall it first before running Windows Recovery from the CD; otherwise you will not be able to connect to the Internet.

    This serious bug as been there since IE7 was first released.

    ETH0 are the most pathetic people in ANY scene that have ever existed. They still think p2p is somehow separated from ‘The Scene’. Better yet, they still think home-users with a fiber-connection care about ftp-sites and top-sites when they have 8 Megabytes/s (yes, bytes) up and down with bittorrent networks.

    Regarding #60 & #123. I have used that & it works great; replaced a ETHO student on one of my laptops. Link is to mininova but it is a Demonoid release.

    Anyone know anything about the rumors of a bot in all ETH0 releases?

    firefox.org.uk is a UNofficial site (even says so on top of page) as they link to a Google toolbar bundled version, so to get Firefox without anything bundled in, go to the Official sources as in www.mozilla.com mozilla.org

    To 149 First you cant upgrade to this you have to do clean install first go back up any important data you need like Game save files etc.
    Then pop in disc boot from it delete vista partion then install use that key i hade provided in description
    then walla then dont use windows update will you patch the wga

    If your having troubles installing any eth0 rls (error during install) then use IMGBURN. Burn at the slowest speed and use a clean disk =/. Just right click the ISO file and go to “burn with imgburn”. easy =)

    IE7 can be downloaded from M$ it doesn’t need a crack or use WGA just install and update IE6.

    WMP11 uses WGA so use a crack from ETHO look for this torrent Microsoft.Windows.Media.Player.v11.GENUINE.CRACK-ETH0, you can download WMP11 from M$ and use ETHO’s crack(LegitLibM.dll) just read the nfo easy.

    If u dont know Nlite is a easy to use slipstream tool to customize your bootable XP disc the way u like it, and Vlite for Vista. gOOgle it ;)

    Etho ISO seems to have a problem. Check the cd after it’s done and it’ll come up with some errors.

    ok…..well so far so good guyz, btw I burnt the .iso with image burn at 4X, anyway, booted CPU with disk, you know the rest, entered the key that was in info file, (the directory where you downloaded the rar’s to, isn’t on the disk n00bz) installed, rebooted, and no probs at all with updates etc. WMP11 and IE7 was done through the updates and works perfect!!!!I’ll send some screenshots later on…..I hope I rested this topic a bit, it work great its on now next to me seeding…..

    I tried it. It works fine.

    1) No I.E. 7

    2) No MP11

    3) passes validation

    4) Works with eth0’s previous CD key

    5) SATA drivers? (I am thinking probably not)

    6) to #184. Student Edition refers to the CD key being one in use by educational institutions and therefore banning the CD key would locki out a lot of schools/computers (as I understand it)

    to 192 Yes it does pass the wmp11 validation are u using ths tudent edition with the etho key

    To 193 get a program called power iso and just burn the iso disck image and Then boot from it

    I’m glad this doesn’t have IE7 or WMP11!!! I don’t know why everyone is so concerned about having those two crappy programs anyways? Your much better off with IE6 and in actuality, more better off using Mozilla Firefox (superior to IE). And WMP11? Come on it’s a freakin’ joke! VLCPlayer or Winamp kicks it’s ass!

    opera is much better than firefox, and aimp2 is much better than winamp. i don’t like to change applications i’m used to if there’s no serious reason, but aimp2 is so much better than winamp i can’t even begin to describe the speed, possibilities, tools, ease of use, sound quality…
    and for firefox, it is better than IE, but opera is beter than firefox. it’s safer, faster, has mouse gestures built-in (can’t live without them :)), always has newest technologies, ideas and web standards way before others implement them. i just need to find a realy good video player. so far i have tried probably all of the big ones (bsplayer, vlc, kmplayer, media player classic, gom player), and they all suck in some way or the other..

    Dude you got to be kidding me firefox 3 beta 5 is like 100 times better then opera and safer to you mudt b emessed up in head Cause its way better
