Great stuff from ETHO, gotta love the XP-releases (which I consider superior to Vista, maybe not the looks, but the more I mean the stability and overal feel). So, do I get it right and does this nót support future updates? Cause XP Pro cracking isnt that hard, but if this were an all-in-one solution

XP for students! I know what students need - a trip to the fuckin’ Barbers and to stop dressing like they’re in the 1970’s/80’s. The fashion was ugly and sad back then, for fuck’s sake, don’t shame the world all over again.

To clarify… there’s no difference between WinXP Corporate and WinXP Student edition.
Only difference is that, Student edition passes all WGA checks on MS site, you can update it, and use all stuff what can use a legit owner of WinXP. So, simply install & enjoy!

Student Ed never needs activation. I think banning the key would kill thousands of legitimate EDU machines, so its kinda stale-mate, however MS will do anything to stop people getting XP for free. Wouldn’t be suprised if this ed stops functioning in the near future.

XP is nice, and we’ve all gotten used to it. Personally I dualboot XP Pro and Vista Ultimate. And on every level I have gotten an increase in speed and stability with Vista. And much better FPS i my games with Vista.
Then again if you want to run Vista you should at least have 2 gb of ram. If you have 1 gb it’s ok, but no winner. If you have less than 1 gb don’t bother.
My specs are 3ghz cpu dualcore, 2 gb ram and an ASUS ATi X1900XT gfx card on an ABIT AW8D-MAX mainboard. With something like this Vista should run like a charm, and much better than XP.
But I will download this, as it is always nice to have all the updates ready when you need to reinstall some time. And some time is always sooner than we think.

Dude if you get those speeds then something is wrong with your computer or your settings! Vista is the first true 64bit OS! I get better 3DMark scores in Vista than in XP! For older applications that don’t work in Vista (16bit) i use XP (dualboot)! The vast majority of the programs run in Vista with no problem! (use XP SP2 compatibility mode if they dont) and as for those “constant security nag requesters” they can be easily disabled (LOL!)! Upgrade your computer and Vista will run with no problem!
Hey guys wished I had seen this earlier, just got done formatting my comp after not being able to get rid of a svchost.exe breakpoint error. So I installed a copy of XP, and it did all the auto updates, but I can’t install WMP 11 or IE 7. I tried the WGAFucker but that still doesn’t let me install them. Anyone know any way that I can install these. Normally I wouldn’t care about IE7, but my poker programs use it. Thanks for any help

Etho only integrates the releases and leaves everything else unattended right? Or do they tweak some settings as well? Last time I installed the May/June release, created an account logged in and noticed it had no shutdown/restart only log off and regedit was apparently disabled by administrator which I clearly am one myself in the user groups. Anyone else get this problem as well? If not I must’ve done something wrong…

BTW…. Am I the only one but seems like since the March Release… every release that I download I always get a Fatal Error after the 2nd install screen (right after the first reboot).
Use Nero to burn… the downloads check out to be okay… burns fine… but cannot use to install…

For those of you who get errors while installing, try burning the disc at lowest speed possible(1x). 4x is fine. Upgrading from a previous OS install will not work with the provided key, clean install is only way.
