Greetings

I just d/l 'Microsoft WindowsXP Professional SP3 Integrated Corporate Unattended' It does not seem to come with a CD key. I used 7-zip to extract the files and tried set-up and any key I try is not valid. Do I have to do something special with the *.iso file first?

And to those who are reporting virii in this release...wrong.

What your AV apps are detecting are the various hacktools used to make this release. Just to give you one example. There is a hack in this version of XP which keeps the OS from phoning home to Redmond for activation. Some AV apps see that as a malicious exploit...BUT IT'S NOT. In fact, the release would not work at all without it! Duh. But because some AV apps go off when they see these "virus like" behaviors, then noobs all start posting: "VIRUS! DO NOT INSTALL THIS! THE SKY IS FALLING!"

Let me be clear. There is NO virus in this release. Need proof? Here's my scan log. NOD32. Up to date virus defs.

Scanning Log
NOD32 version 4229 (20090709) NT
Date: 11.7.2009 Time: 09:21:03
Anti-Stealth technology is enabled.
Scanned disks, folders and files: E:\New Folder\Microsoft WindowsXP Professional SP3 Integrated Corporate Unattended\up2date-wxpvol_unattended_en_june.iso
Number of scanned files: 42846
Number of threats found: 0
Time of completion: 09:27:11 Total scanning time: 368 sec (00:06:08)

Mikey566 wrote: After reading all the problems with the many download links, I too used the hotfile links posted by staff. No virus, burned well, but like #79 found it needed a serial key, which the nfo says it does not. Tried numerous and none worked. So another useless disc.

Did you do a CLEAN install or try to install over an existing installation? The reason I ask is because this release was intended for a clean install. Reformat. Then install from scratch. Otherwise, you may get errors or you may be prompted for a key. Many people have already installed this release successfully, so it does work.

I would recommend not downloading this but waiting for the group BIE to post their

Uhhhh.

No, you morons. Unattended means all the options during the graphical part are pre-filled in . You still get to choose your partition and whatnot.
