It wasn’t too long ago when SP3 RC2 was leaked to the public, and now ETH0, the masters of slipstreaming, have released the SP3 slipstreamed onto the install CD. Excellent for a quick test of the new OS, or a your next XP install CD, which ever you prefer. They also included a WGA crack which is in the ETH0 folder on the CD.

    Don’t try to use these slipstreamed CDs with Windows Automated Installed Kit or Windows Deployment Services as you’ll run into various errors during the text-mode setup. A few of the symptoms were that it can’t find drivers, you can’t proceed past the text-mode setup as it keeps on rebooting, errors about an existing windows installation after the reboots, etc.

    Took me a few days to figure out what was wrong and when I decided to rebuild the deployment using the original MS Win CDs the install went through without a hitch.

    Moral of the story, if you are planning on doing deployments then stick to original CDs and don’t try to do any shortcuts. Aside from that the slipstreamed CD worked great for single desktop installations without any hitchs.

    My last 10-15 installs have been ETH0 monthly releases and I’ve never had any problems installing or updating. I actually own an XP license and original CD but prefer the ETH0’s with updates included, don’t have to spend a whole day with windows updates after each install. If Microsoft provided a similar updated install CD for download to those who actually payed for Windows I wouldn’t have to use pirate stuff, but they don’t and we all know why, they suck.

    I will give this one a try.

    it does not download no “rc” sp3 bundled with xp_pro. And, btw the way - this version of xp comes equipped with virus like all the previous ones. found in the netmeeting -folder.

    Anyways… If you are not concerned about updating, just disable “BITS” and Auto Update in services. I am sure this is up to date with the updates anyhow. But I have noticed that the updates from Microsoft are mostly RPC and programs that depend on it. Fishy.

    Oh and #15… LMAO HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Besides the OSS I have on my system.

    1. Go to START > Run
    2. Type in “regedt32″ [enter]
    3. On the left pane go to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\WindowsNT\Current Version\WPAEvents
    4. Double-click on OOBETimer on the right panel
    5. Change at least one digit of this value to deactivate Windows
    6. Go to START > Run
    7. Type in “%systemroot%\system32\oobe\msoobe.exe /a” [enter]
    8. Select “Yes, I want to telephone a customer service representative to activate Windows” [Next]
    9. Click the “Change Product key” button at the bottom
    10. Type in “V2C47-MK7JD-3R89F-D2KXW-VPK3J” for your key *
    11. Click “Update” button
    12. You’re done, close up and reboot just to be sure
    13. Have fun Windows Updating!

    Why knock something so hard before you try it. all you have to do is try it before you act like you know exactly what it is. Please give it a try. I have a corperate os windows xp Pro actually with SP2 there is no activation key needed its been fixed some how plus it has some sht taken out that u dont need file and printing sharing other bs its actually great :P but. windows updates automaticly and the OS is amazing.

    Windows XP SP3 includes all previously released Windows XP updates, including security updates and hotfixes. Microsoft is not adding significant functionality from newer versions of Windows, such as Windows Vista, to Windows XP through XP SP3.

    @Cheng (48): WGA (Windows Geniune Advantage) has nothing to do with WPA (Windows Product Activation). Indeed, Corporate edition lacks WPA, but it’s still forced to validate downloads from MS by WGA.

    Smart people use a fix that doesn’t need to be updated with every new version.

    I’m running a Windows XP CORPORATE cd I’ve had for the past three years. All I ever do when I re-install my OS is enter a serial and boot up, then hook up with windows update and let it do its thing. hell I even have auto updates turned on letting this pirated copy of XP (with a commonly known serial(!)) update all the WGA stuff it wants to. I’ve never had any problems with WGA. No cracks, no activation, no problems. PERIOD.

    Anyone trying to install this should also note:

    Unbelievably this STILL does not include sata drivers in the installer so if you have a newer pc with a sata hdd you will have to make your own slipstreamed disc using nlite.

    I have been running vista ultimate in dual boot with vista ultimate 64 (both pirated and both activated) for quite sometime. along with Office, Quickbooks, Photoshop, FSXSP2, and any other program I can think of. I’ve never had any activation problems or virus’s. So I think I will be laughing my way to the bank where all of my money is saved becuawe I don’t need to spend it on software.

    Installed this earlier today, works good and all, but then installed “Black XP 7.5 Remasterd” the one that removes the black xp toolbar which is ghey. Black xp is awesome, comes with EVERY program and 5 types of every program, ie. 5 types of firewalls or virus scanners, 30 or so dvd edit convert programs, and things of that nature so you can pick n choose what software you want on the os.

    thats about all i have to say.

    Some days back i have downloaded this one from new torrent
    Microsoft.Windows.XP.Professional.N.Corporate.SP3.RC1.Build.3244.Integrated-ETH0
    and it gave missing files error during fresh installation…
    so I am not going for this eth0 again…

    BTW I have currently running
    windows.xp.pro.sp3.3282.rcr2.vista.style.v1(u can get it from TPB)
    this is build 3282, no crack required and it don’t ask for the product key as it is auto typed by the script…

    I will wait for the final version u never know they might come of with RC3 before the final release.

    Im sure sp3 does make a difference to windows xp like sp1 did to vista. Trust me i felt a difference when i installed sp1 to vista, i can now actually play cs source without lag spikes and my wireless isn’t messed up anymore. so i doubt these sp do “nothing”.

    #76. Just so you know, that wasn’t my post. I use releases from groups like eth0, WiNK, ZWTiSO, eXperience, M.O.A and VUS. Rlslog does not have a registering function so we have immature posers pretending to be other people. You will notice my posts to be a little more intellectual than that. So, until Rlslog has a register format coming, we have to put up with the (which I find comical) crap.

    This release is clean by the way. Too bad the SP3 has a time limit. I do not know if this is RTM or other. Someone can tell us different.

    Same as someone said before. I personally own xp license but since its a total disaster to install it from it, and get list full of windows hotfix update blabla at add/remove and also noticing a lot of “lag” on system with tons of updates, instead fresh, implemented upgrades from starting install. Usually service packs show their effectiveness in speeding up or makin’ smth concrete, but in vista its no wonder since its lagtrain anyway, in xp, i guess it updates more security issues and therefor doesnt show out as faster operating system etc. Btw eth0 is 100% working always, never had any problems with their releases.

    Windows XP SP3 includes all previously released Windows XP updates, including security updates and hotfixes, and select out-of-band releases. For example, the service pack includes functionality previously released as updates, such as the Microsoft® Management Console (MMC) 3.0 and the Microsoft Core XML Services 6.0 (MSXML6).

    Microsoft is not adding significant functionality from newer versions of Windows, such as Windows Vista, to Windows XP through XP SP3. For instance, Windows XP SP3 does not include Windows Internet Explorer 7, although Windows XP SP3 does include updates to both Internet Explorer 6 and Internet Explorer 7, and it will update whichever version is installed on the computer.

    You most certainly can use these discs OEM deployment. You do not need an original disc for deployment.

    You can use this or the student version and the nLite program to make a tailor made version for your system. Extract with WinRAR everything from the iso in some working directory, fire up nLite and follow the wizard like steps. Remove all the languages you don’t use, the accessibility tools, communication tools you don’t use, sound recorder, the native firewall (0 points score in tests) and so on.
