Microsoft Windows Vista x64 SP1 OEM DVD-BIE

After Vista Service Pack 1 itself, (which we posted few days ago) here comes a x64 (64bit) version of Vista with SP1 integrated already. Best thing to do is fresh install and you are ready to go. It’s fully cracked with OEM hack method, so no worry about activation and other sh!ts. Probably “normal” x86 (32bit) with SP1 integrated is next to come by our sceners…

UPDATE: [UNNUKED] - [Microsoft.Windows.Vista.x64.SP1.OEM.DVD-BIE] - [fine]

Description:

Microsoft occasionally releases service packs for its Windows operating systems to fix problems and add features. Windows Vista Service Pack 1 (SP1) was released on February 4, 2008 alongside Windows Server 2008 to OEM partners after a five-month beta test period. Service Pack 1 will be available to current Windows Vista users mid-March. A whitepaper published by Microsoft near the end of August 2007 outlined the scope and intent of the service pack, identifying three major areas of improvement: reliability and performance, administration experience, and support for newer hardware and standards.

One area of particular note is performance. Areas of improvement include file copy operations, hibernation, logging off on domain-joined machines, Javascript parsing in Internet Explorer, network file share browsing, Windows Explorer ZIP file handling, and Windows Disk Defragmenter. The ability to choose individual drives to defragment is being reintroduced as well.

Service Pack 1 introduces support for some new hardware and software standards, notably the exFAT file system, 802.11n wireless networking, IPv6 over VPN connections, and the Secure Socket Tunneling Protocol. An updated version of Windows Installer is included that provides support for multi-package transactions and embedding the user interface of a child Windows Installer package inside a parent installation session. Booting a system using Extensible Firmware Interface on x64 systems is also being introduced; this feature had originally been slated for the initial release of Vista but was delayed due to a lack of compatible hardware at the time. Two areas have seen changes in Service Pack 1 that have come as the result of concerns from software vendors.

One of these is desktop search; users will be able to change the default desktop search program to one provided by a third party instead of the Microsoft desktop search program that comes with Windows Vista, and desktop search programs will be able to seamlessly tie in their services into the operating system. These changes come in part due to complaints from Google, whose Google Desktop Search application was hindered by the presence of Vista’s built-in desktop search. In June 2007, Google claimed that the changes being introduced for Service Pack 1 “are a step in the right direction, but they should be improved further to give consumers greater access to alternate desktop search providers.” The other area of note is a set of new security APIs being introduced for the benefit of antivirus software that currently relies on the unsupported practice of patching the kernel.

An update to DirectX 10, named DirectX 10.1, makes mandatory several features which were previously optional in Direct3D 10 hardware. Graphics cards will be required to support DirectX 10.1. Service Pack 1 includes a kernel (6001) that matches the version shipped with Windows Server 2008.

So is this release confirmed to be nonworking (not activated)?

If so, I might as well cancel my download and grab the old NoPE release and install SP1 manually.

This release should be nuked, its not a real OEM!

you install, you dont enter product key like the Nfo says.
you get into vista, and 30 days remaining, and isnt activated.

Ugh… it seems it’s working for some but not others then I guess?

Is this release using some OEM BIOS emulator thingie? Maybe it’s buggy and only works on some computers?

Just to confirm I installed without serial and with a serial, I’m using a dell GX620 and it just wont activate…

I’ve installed x86 and 64bit by BIE for July 2007 & January, none of the activators have worked for me before or after the SP1 update on any of the editions (no slic in bios, so couldn’t try Paradox bios edit)

Just looks like I’ve got a rouge system…

Could having XP on the primary partition mess with the activation, the dos window says it’s updating the loader on XP partition but then says it couldn’t lock the NFS partition but still successful.. although I’ve also seen that message on screenshots of working activations…

…. looks like I’ll just have to buy it… lol

Tested within a virtual machine, entered no serial per the instructions. Activation is still required. I attempted to add in a OEM embedded key with no success. From what I can tell, SP1 runs smoother. I’m waiting on a /proper/ release. Seeing as this works on some machines and not others compatibility must hinge on specific hardware.

    ‘re-nuked’.

I finally got the SP1 32 bit installed after it took 2 hours. I really hate the install process.
1st it takes forever to install the base files for the restart, that takes about 30 minutes, then it restarts and updates itself, than the long long wait with the 1 out of 3 SP1 installs.. the first one takes a least a hour. The 2nd one takes about 40 minutes, and the 3rd one a the shortest with 10 minutes.

Finally after wasting half my life the OS finally is ready. My OS doesn’t seem faster at all. It actually feels a little slower. But since there is bug fixes I am happy I upgraded anyways, some things seems better.
I hate the whole ideal of not being able to use nlite on this OS for the SP1 wont install though. I mean the OS ran faster when I had the base ISO size at 525 megs.
Once again I would like to say FU M$ X 1 MILLION + 1 BILLION..

Well, big turn around since my last post, I had noticed upon my first install that a password prompt in German appeared upon my first startup…I didn’t know what it was so after a few seconds I clicked ‘Ok’ or ‘Continue’. I remembered that when initially creating my login account I password protected it. Knowing that some scripts/installs need user access. I reinstalled the release from scratch, but when creating the login name I included no password. The German textbox appeared again, however, it filled in a password on its own (macro/script?), proceded to the desktop, and then restarted…Voila!
    http://i30.tinypic.com/2w50j82.png
I edited out the ‘Product ID:’ to protect the release. Remember, this is installed on a VM, hence the screwy system info data. It activates, no it’s not a purebred OEM, but it’s just as good…a few quirks withstanding…

No offense, but you’re obviously don’t understand how their hack works if you think it will work for everyone (do you even code?).

I downloaded this version myself and it is indeed a very badly hacked version.

  23. JAT
    February 17th, 2008 | 03:15

Windows Update does work. Once the crack is successfully applied it basically becomes an OEM copy…even though it technically isn’t. It uses some sort of emulation.

jv, I agree that the crack is unorthodox, seeing how it cracks it so late in the install cycle…there should have been more documentation. At least it’s not a cheap timer crack.

    February 17th, 2008 | 03:34

OK it works i take back what i said.

the problem is you have to be an administrator to get the bloody thing to activate…

    burn
(when it asks for serial untick activate later and proceed)
    when installed and logged in,
wait 2 minutes on the desktop and your system will automaticly REBOOT !

    once rebooted it is activated.

    Have fun ;)

I just used Vlite to make the install more unattended than what it is as now the install doesnt even ask me for a serial at all lol

  25. VipeR
    February 17th, 2008 | 03:38

I take back what i said, install works and activated but you need to understand why it doesnt activate in the first place.

    ——————-

when it asks for a serial untick activate after install and proceed.
once in windows you will still be unactivated, wait 2 minutes on the desktop and your system will auto reboot on its own.

once its rebooted it will be activated with OEM PID!

(* wait 2 minutes on the desktop before doing anything then it will auto reboot = Activated * )

@99 been using vista 64bits for over 6 months now and I have yet to see a crash. I only agree with the memory, but it’s 64bits. when I had 2GB it used 600 to 900MB of memory superfetch enabled; now I have 4GB it uses 1.2GB. but it’s 64bits and remember that it has to load 64 AND 32bits stuff in order to make you able to use 32bits applications *without crashing them*
however, since you’re the kind who *disable anything he doesn’t know* in the services, you should look in a mirror if you want a responsible for the crashes you have.
blame Creative for paying non-programmers in third world countries to make their drivers. Creative is famous for making the crappiest drivers in the world and that since windows 98, but sure blame vista..

    and get a brain.

ok, you’ve got my interest, how will disabling driver signing help… when do you do it, before running a hack, when vista boots..?

Well I have Windows HPE and installed x64 ultimate, everything went fine, it rebooted 1x, and then on the 2nd time the bootmgr/loader screwed EVERYTHING UP and sends me to my recovery partition. I couldn’t get into anything and my partition table was ruined. So I deleted a whole partition (lost over 1 year of work) and reinstalled. Its restarted and now I just booted to vista 32. I used vista boot pro and hopefully it will work. Ugh

The two different program file folders are for 64bit and 32bit applications. x86 = 32bit

Also this release works fine installed, started, reboot and then activated.

  45. tiger1218
    February 18th, 2008 | 19:47

yea thats what i thought so i just have to install programs that are 64 bit compatible in the regular directery

    2 tiger1218:

64 bit vista can run 32bit aplications and games, and if game or program isnt specific for 64bit vista, its installed in 32bit “program files”. i dunno if its some kind “emulation” of 32bit enviroment, but it work well.
so far as i tested 64bit vista, rare games wich i play and programs dont work under 64bit vista.

    2 cl:

well, 64bit vista uses maximum what 64bit CPU can get, and it also uses better RAM than 32bit

  50. mak
    February 19th, 2008 | 17:13

damn! it worked like a charm for a bit and then it comes up with a “windows cannot access the specified drive, path or file, you may not have appropiate permission to access the item” on everything I’m trying to do from opening the control panel to accessing firefox, now I can’t do a fck, what could be the problem?

  51. Disgruntled employee
    February 19th, 2008 | 21:11

Thanks everyone for the comments. I believe this version is:
    1) a poorly hacked version,
    2) a resource hog,
    3) not FULLY compatible with existing programs
    4) not needed for games/applications that I use

Seems counterproductive to waste time downloading this until Vista is fully developed and has more “glitches” fixed.

FYI: Yahoo will be bought out. Anyone claiming to know different doesn’t understand how business works- MS offered the shareholders of yahoo ~$16.00 per share more than the market price. It is the shareholders’ decision to sell or not sell to MS. If people decide to take the gain (which I would be surprised if they don’t) then yahoo is owned and controlled by MS. That simple! Despite Yahoo’s Board attempts at getting their shareholders better offers from Google and some other companies (undisclosed), they have failed. So….kiss yahoo goodbye

    @153,

    1. I think it uses the same BIOS emulation method as the old NoPE release - what’s poor about it?
    2. Maybe, but if you’ve got Core 2 Duo and 2gb+ RAM it doesn’t feel slower than XP.
    3. It’s 64-bit. So far it seems much more compatible than XP 64-bit was when I tried it a few years ago.
    4. Probably.

I HAVE an upgrade copy of ultimate (Compusa 50% off)
IF I enter in MY code during the install will it see it as ok?

Wondering because I know I could install a clean copy-which defaults to the 30, and then reinstall it and it is meant to work as an upgrade and be happy

I just have not done it yet since I have to do some clean up first (Tried 32 upgrade got some scsi driver screwup which wont ever go away)

So I’ve never really downloaded an OS before…
I see that I’m supposed to “Extract Files and then Burn them to a DVD”.
    But I’m a bit confused…
Included in my download was 1 12kb MSInfo Document, 50 R30-79 Files, 1 3.69GB “Image Files”, and 31 Win RARArchive Files.
So.. basically what I’m asking is what do I do now…?
Is that a specific file that I need to burn to a DVD?

Sorry I’m asking such a stupid question, I just don’t know where to begin.

    Thanks in Advance!
    -Kenneth

Sorry that last post was a bit long and pointless.
Basically what I”m asking is, what do I exactly burn to a DVD?

Another Question: Is this a clean installation (will it wipe out all my file?)?

    February 23rd, 2008 | 10:15

Installed with ease. CD boots up like it should. Can get updates. No stupid DELL Logo in my computer. Everything works as it should. Windows is activated after you install it and wait about 1-2 minutes. It will then restart and BAM! There you have it. This release works great. I thought Vista was slow back on the earlier releases but with this SP1, everything is pretty fast.

    system specs
    AMD64 5200+ 65W AM2 CPU at 2.72ghz
    4GB Corsair ddr2 667 RAM
    Abit KN8

    note to Kenneth:
yes you have to do a clean install. there is no upgrade.

I’m searching a way to install Windows Vista x64 SP1 on a Mac Pro ( and yes, with a crack ). Does anyone ever tried that? I’ve tried EVERY single boot loader on the internet, tried with or without bootcamp but still nothing. The best I can do is get it activated for ONE startup.

    Help?

    February 27th, 2008 | 09:27

    Off Topic… Sorry

the kb940510 update detects if you have used an OEM BIOS or Grace Timer hack that bypass Windows activation.

    IT WILL REMOVE YOUR VALIDATION.

Always manually download updates and uncheck and hide kb940510.

again sorry for off topic. didn’t know were I could put it. :)

    hi,

I downloaded this torrent & burnt it onto a dvd but it doesn’t seem to work.
I then tried to mount it on a virtual drive but that states the file is corrupted.
Any1 else have this problem? any ideas on how to resolve it?

Also, in the comments, sum1 mentioned that only the x86 (or 32 bit) version has the SP1 with it so does this 64 bit version have the full service pack 1 with it or not?

    Regards,

    shuja

this is supposed to be OEM, - it show OEM Product ID
yet the count down for activation is present and it wont activate.

ask for product key - will this continue to work after the 30 days ?

tired of this issue - gonna have to spend some money for once i think

OK, I think I found out why this is activating for some people and not others..
DO NOT REMOVE THE DISC until it does the surprise reboot by itself! It can’t copy something that it needs on the reboot!

its the lexmark printer or driver that i’m using is making it not activated.

  81. Spyros

I don’t think that a driver of a device installed in your system is related to activation.

I could get mine installed (Ultimate) and it started up then did the reboot but while booting up again it encounters errors and takes me to a GRUB command prompt and stops.
    Also I didn’t notice any german pop-ups.

Should I be connected to the net for this to crack or anything?

It installed fine for me. Activated and everything. Allows me to do Windows Update. After a few updates though, Microsoft automatic update shows I need the SP1 update. I don’t see anywhere, where it says I have SP1 already installed.

IT DOES ASK FOR A SERIAL CODE, but…

… You don’t have to enter it. Just click next when it ask you for the serial code, then a box will appear asking whether you want to input the serial code again, click NO, and you can continue the set up. Works great for me, that is the 36bit (x86). The 64bit doesnt work for me, “your computer cant handle this operating system” or some crap like that
