If activator won’t work normally then you may change ‘acpi (hpet table)’ to be enabled in BIOS. That setting is required for vista activation. Check your manual about it.

Following up on the BIE crack:
You can see during Setup, towards the end, shortly after clicking ok on the 'ThankYou' screen, a momentary dialog will pop up saying 'Passwort fur die verechiUsseite Datei eingeben: C:/Windows/Setup/scripts/start.exe' {OK/Abbruch}. I had to catch it on my webcam.

So I guess biestart.exe must invoke start.exe, which in turn invokes sp1active.exe. or something .. :0

I can only hope this doesn't install a keylogger that sends my bank # to BIE every few days.

This is multilingual deluxe! Ultimate runs language packs in just about any language under the sun – from Afrikaans to Zulu. This is how an OS should be anyway, it’s like that in the *nix world anyway, but with M$ you have to pay to get a product in your own language.

I got xp in Swedish cause I wont use Vista in English on my dell OEM….I dont know a word of Swedish, but I wont touch Vista with my third leg ….also I know XP enough to wing it, blindfolded

I would also like to find out why my copy hasn’t been activated. I followed all the directions and it seemed ok until I rebooted. It then told me 30 days left for activation.

Anyone know how to get around this activation? TIA!!
