Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate x86 Integrated July 2007 OEM DVD-BIE

Vista… Microsoft’s new OS. Some people like it, others not. Personally i still prefer XP, rather than Vista. But thats my personal thought. Anyway this is the Ultimate OEM version with all updates included to July released by some new group BIE. Doesn’t require any activation or other workarounds. Just install it , and there you go. Please DON’T start under the comments flame wars like “Vista vs. XP vs. Linux vs. Mac OSX”, “Screw Vista, XP rocks, blah, blah…”, “XP sucks , Vista rocks” or something like that, cause it’s childish and stupid. Everyone have it’s own choice of OS. Hope you’ll understand! Thx.

Windows Vista Ultimate is the choice for those who want to have it all. Easily shift between the worlds of productivity and play with the most complete edition of Windows Vista. Ultimate provides the power, security, and mobility features needed for work, and all the entertainment features that you want for fun.

On another scene board, you’ll notice Eth0 just released a July slipstreamed Vista Ultimate based on NoPe’s OEM release. I’d stick to what Eth0 choose to update over some new group.

    go xp.
If you go to vista you will see a drop in performance, and the video card drivers are not very good yet for ati/amd or nvidia, and sli support is nonexistent yet.

There really isn’t any good solid reason to get Vista, and it bogs down the computer. XP is stable, well-rounded, takes less system resources and has much better software compatibility. Also, Vista tries to control what you do and puts restrictions on you.

  25. Bendee
    July 12th, 2007 | 21:07

For gaming I would install both Vista x64 and XP 32bit (Gamers Edition)
If sg is not Vista compatible, u can play with the xp version.
x64 games run better on Vista (WoW and a few others, google.. )

My Vista uses 1.5 GB RAM with all visual effects on, with Azureus running, sidebar, firefox, MSN, Antivirus, and some small apps

Othervise it’s (almost) the same speed as xp

  26. Bendee
    July 12th, 2007 | 21:14

    Restrictions i found:
Deleting non used WIndows (Vista) directory (NTFS restriction)
    same with program files dir

    otherwise it is operatable

    turn user access control off!

so its like a corporate vista then ill give it a try.

  31. July 12th, 2007 | 21:42

    @Alan

You can download updates in Vista even if you don’t have a valid serial, or you haven’t activated yet.
In other words, updates in vista don’t have anything to do with activation.

I just love this XP vs VISTA war, do anyone remember 2000 vs XP? :D If I change some of the words from Tric (21:03) I come up with:
“There really isn’t any good solid reason to get XP, and it bogs down the computer. 2000 is stable, well-rounded, takes less system resources and has much better software compatibility. Also, XP tries to control what you do and puts restrictions on you.” Hehe.
I’m going to down this one, my first experience with Vista went flawless!

    Turn User Access Control off

Download Vista compatible versions off apps if possible
(many of apps have Vista versions)

I dont use IE, can’t help (Firefox?)
    MSN works perfectly here

extend RAM to 2 GB if possible

    July 12th, 2007 | 22:06

I got my self a brand new computer with 2GB memory and have been using vista ever since, don’t really miss xp, I guess it works pretty well with enough horsepower

  38. Bendee
    July 12th, 2007 | 22:17

And booting up the system isn’t slower than XP. It’s worth a try at least :) Leave your xp on and you can still use it if Vista is not for you :)

Any idea how to get language packs?

Like french, spanish, italian or german?

I know for sure that microsoft changed the way Vista is localized, and there are certain packs for language installation.

But i cannot find them, maybe i have to go on windowsupdate?

Will it works with this version, even if pirated?

    Thx

HAHAHA i Can’t believe that some of You didn’t get that axxo version joke… The mass is really stupid after all… But serious – it makes me fear for the future… I mean – how many ppl are THAT stupid? Looks like they’re just waiting for someone to take advantage of that…

  41. July 12th, 2007 | 23:50

    @wtf

I don’t think there are things like language packs for windows OS’s. You have to use a localized version. For example if you buy it in your country it will be your language.

Friend of mine are fine with vista and gaming, and they should be since their systems all have like 4 gb of ram on quad core systems with very high end graphics cards. For myself though, with only 2gb of ram on a dualcore AMD system, I prefer xp. So picking one or the other from strictly a gaming standpoint depends on your hardware imho. High end, pick vista.. medium to low; XP.

lets just clearly answer yes or no..

does this release also make some BOOT LOADER crap thing when i boot up?

cuz ETH0’s release did that and madee me feel really bad.

And Can i Choose NTFS/FAT32 while installing???

I reinstalled XP today for only 1 reason… RASPPPoE doesnt work on Vista :( Really mis Vista tho

  47. July 13th, 2007 | 01:07

Hmmm. Windows Vista Ultimate has language packs, you just download them. This is one of the extra features for the ultimate version. I have run Vista Ultimate 64 om my AMD 64 +4000 with 3gb RAM (nvidia 6800 256mb)for a long time now, and it is way more stable than my previous XP install. I am also running Vista Ultimate x86 om my Intel P4 3.4 2gb (nvidia 7300GT 256mb) box, and use it with my 37″ LCD in the living room. (my other boxes are using XP (3) and Ubuntu (2))

I have no problems with games, and HD movies run fine, both blu-ray and HD-DVD. re encoded to mkv and wmvhd are also fine.

I was a bit afraid of moving to Vista at first, but I really like it now. It boots faster than XP, and is way more stable. So I recommend it. (but i would prefer if we all used Ubuntu)

@iNCQRiT google before you type… plenty of languages to be downloaded if you have the Ultimate version of Vista.

Both my copy’s of Vista is OEM pirated versions, they activated fine, and download updates fine…

Um, I don’t know what you mean by “Boot loader crap” ’cause I tested the Win Vista Ultimate (Eth0 release) myself and it worked beautifully, updated fine also.

also, of course you can chose NTFS & FAT32, but as always it’s recommended to pick NTFS

Vendors need to support 64-bit Vista. If they want us to move to a new O/S then what’s the point in sticking with a 32-bit version? I have a quad core intel with 4gb ram and it’s only running at 50% of it’s power because of the bottleneck with the 32-bit O/S. If they want us to push forward with technology then we all need to step up to the next generation proper.

  57. zim
    July 13th, 2007 | 11:52

    @eloi
Why in hell do you want to use FAT/FAT32? NTFS is one of the few good things they invented…14 years ago…completely closed source. But it works.
FAT/FAT32 is a really bad FS and the only reason i can think of you wanna use it is to share data with a Linux on another Partition. Or on an external USB Drive to share data with a Mac. But never ever use FAT for the OS’s Partition!

  62. philips14c
    July 13th, 2007 | 14:03

You will need at least 1Gb memory to run Vista properly! I use 64bit version! BTW: Some drivers are better written in Vista (Intel X3000 3DMark06 XP32: 600| 3DMark06 Vista64: 900). Vista is the first true 64 bit SO! For games 2GB or more memory is required! Vista is the future, XP is the past! A very robust system indeed!

  64. MAXp0wr
    July 13th, 2007 | 14:10

Vista works fine so long as you don’t have a pc from the 80’s.

I am so sick of all the complaining about it taking up too much system resources.
If the computer world is to move on we need os’s and apps to take advantage of available hardware. Or shall we use xp until our balls turn grey?

It comes wrapped in a lot of security.. But this is because most users out there are retarded and need their system to control themselves.
If you don’t like it, change it. There are big pretty buttons to do so.

Yeah right…apps and os’s are taking advantage even more than it’s necessary—>so we buy better hardware—>then they make new software—>and we buy new hardware—> and so on…It’s called exploiting not progress…and vista is wonderful example of dumbness of today humankind…they’ll buy anything….hmmm..

What is the point of commenting if I can say this :

If you like Vista, you may like Ubuntu or OSX better… since all of the new features on Vista were stolen from the open source community and OSX.

Now, Microsoft has the nerve to threaten a lawsuit against the Linux community for stealing “their” new features!?! WTF? That is abuse of the legal system, and a great abuse of power! I hope the judge fines Microsoft $5,000,000,000 for filing a frivolous lawsuit!

“Please DON’T start under the comments flame wars like “Vista vs. XP vs. Linux vs. Mac OSX”, “Screw Vista, XP rocks, blah, blah…”, “XP sucks , Vista rocks” or something like that, cause it’s childish and stupid.”

Telling people what to say and think is even more childish…

I tried Vista, and to me it was near useless. It looks great and has some nice (minor and visual only) features, but my favorite software and even some hardware didn’t work with it (yet?). So yeah, to me Vista sucks and I’ll stick to XP. XP forfills my needs, Vista doesn’t.

This is not called flaming, it’s called an opinion.

e.g. “Vista is a piece of shit that makes my puta run slow”. or “It is so bulky it makes my Duo CPU unable to pull a greasy stick outta dog’s ass” are fine.
“Vista sux” is stupid. Who cares if some 14 year old kid fucked up his birthday present from Ma and Pa Burbia by whining a Vista based rig outta them if he can’t even tell anyone what the prob with Vista is except “Vista suxx” which doesn’t tell ne1 ne thing except the writer is a 12 y.o. mental midget

I would like to comment on this down load and thank rlslog for the fine job of bringing us this fine release. The ony prob.with this is there is no damn torrent and there hasn’t been in the 3 days I’ve been reading these comments. Not even an explanation from the staff as to whats going on..A little info would be nice.

Where is the torrent? I can’t talk about how godly or crap this release is like the other showoffs here unless I get to download it…

And CrystyXp, you know nuts about Vista and games. Any games run crappier in Vista than XP because the latest benches for DX10 games on current DX10 cards are crapshit. People are waiting for 9XXX and 3XXX next gen of DX10 cards to fix the screw ups. Developers are still trying to work around the partially software layer DX9EX compatibility and no hardware audio acceleration in Vista so that older and current games even future games won’t suck so much.

I work with games and I test the games on 20 same Config PC and WinVISTA Ultimate is the best in PC Gaming , for example Spider Man 3 , Splinter Cell Double Agent , … hwo dont run in most xp , in vista work clearlly ! For Example in GTA San Andreas , all full grafics work with no problem on anny grafic card , ATI Radeon, nVidia , Winfast …. and if you dont know , about 2 days ago , Vista wass updated the DirectX 10 with major suport , atleast 1 gb on my space disc!

;) Try it to see , and change your PC Configuration , i tink is OLD !

I have 2 PC in my house & 1 Notebook HP , and belive me i know what i say !

One more thing, CrystyXp, Microsoft updates windows every 2nd tuesday of the month, not DirectX. The july tuesday Vista update had 6 patchs and a DX10 benchmark, no DX10 updates at all. Unlikely it can boost performance for anything.

For a guy that works with games, you’re certainly ill informed…

I just happen to write hardware articles, that’s all…
