Today im bringing you 2 apps. One’s a Windows Vista activator(I know we have Winodws 7 but some people still like Vista). The other app is Windows Activator. I tell you more bout these apps below, and of course there are links.

Windows Product Activation is an anti-piracy measure used by Microsoft Corporation that enforces the Windows EULA (End User License Agreement) and/or other license agreements. If the Windows operating system is not activated within a limited period of time, it will become virtually unusable until it is activated. If Windows fails the activation, it will enter reduced functionality mode and the user will have very limited access until a valid license key is supplied. However, for Windows Vista Service Pack 1, reduced functionality mode has been removed. Windows will now periodically remind the user that their copy of Windows needs to be activated. In addition the desktop wallpaper will be changed to a solid black screen every hour.

It can be used to activate any windows vista. Works on the recent
Vista SP2 MDSN releases from ZWTiSO.

    I'm on Vista now. There I said it; welcome to Vista Anonymous.

    I installed Windows 7 on my Asus netbook (to see if it could be done) and I love any Windows OS that runs well and is stable in 1GB of RAM..

    stay AWAY. i just tried Windows.Activator on a 2008 server, and now no user can log in. it starts logging in, then immediately logs out, even in safe mode. no way to get in anymore

    @12…if the RTM version was released there might be a chance but it's hard to have a crack for something that doesn't yet exist in the wild….

    Vista is just fine for me. I'll get Windows 7 when it's officially released but for now I'm content with Vista…it helps that I'm running the 64-bit version, less than 4GB of RAM and Vista sucks.

    Both of these apps are frontends installing the GRUB bootloader. That's probably why #8 can't login anymore: it foobared the MBR and now the drive letters are different so it can't find the user profile files and logs right back out. You'll have to fire up BartPE and change the driver letters in the registry of your existing install (HKLM\SYSTEM\MountedDevices) but only if you know what you're doing!

    All in all, these apps are UEBERLAME!

    Why does Vista need activation? I thought all the current scene monthly Vista ISOs use the OEM BIOS hack which means we dont put serials and can update.. so someone please explain why this is even needed?

    windows 7 isnt even phyiscally available here in australia in shops.

    vista is okay i guess,
    but it could run faster on my quadcore 64bit processor with 8GB Ram.
    but i dont wanna change to windows 7 till more of my applications are usable on it.

    @12 Why do you need Windows 7 activation? You can sign up to the msdn site and get a key sent to your email that'll be valid til July 2010 and it activates just fine lol

    It's much better to do a Hardmod/OEM Activation if you possibly can – use a GRUB-based softmod only as a last resort. VistaLoader is probably safer than this. Best resource: http://forums.mydigitallife.info/forumdisplay.php?f=4

    I just use faked OEM information. Only one that would work was Intel.

    Before this i've tried using timehacks, WGA crack/kill tools, basically every program you could find.

    The tool i've found has:

    Activation1.exe – Microsoft Windows Vista Developer Activation with a long license file.

    Activation2.exe – Vista Loader 3.0.0.1 with about 10 – 15 different logos to choose from as your OEM registration.

    This NEVER said Windows Server 2008! But I want to help you out. For Windows 2008 you can disable and bypass the activation. Here is that info. I would not use ANY cracks on Server 2008 as there are none currently out there that work. They simply use Vista cracks on Server which destroys the Server. This is a permanent bypass.

    Works on all server versions, even Trial, with SP2.

    I just wonder why nobody likes grub-based cracks for vista. I couldn't care less for the text that displays for just half a second when booting, and I get vista fully activated and can download updates, etc. I had my vista cracked from the NoPE DVD install, then installed Win 7 on a second partition and it "normalized" my MBR so Vista got "un-activated". Then I used VOATK tools to remove any cracks, and then installed the MSDN-based activator mentioned here and everything is back to normal.

    Hi

    Seems to work ok so far. What window updates can i do with this. None / Some / What to avoid.

    Really just want it to last till Windows 7 becomes retails and will buy. But need OS till then.

    I've found vista to be quite fine on my i7 with triple channel ram. I'm sure it's faster than any laptop with xp installed !
