@11 Volume (VLK) is for enterprise licenses and RTM is for single user license or consumer license.

Anyone installing Server 2008 for the first time should consider waiting for R2 to get the newer kernel, if you can delay your install.

1. NO ONE has yet to crack Windows 2008 Server properly and the current work arounds suck or are temporary at best. Some even claim to crack it, then you check your server and it says "Vista". Good luck cracking this one.

2. Only trust an SP2 from MS when it is released on their site. So far it has not been officially released.

3. Volume License – One key to rule them all. Retail, purchased at a store directly, one serial, product activation required.

I wonder why some of you, after your posts, are even wanting this product? Or for that matter, even have a computer after reading your dribble.

R2 is new system based on win7 kernel. This is service pack for old but still good Server2008.
Tip for students, if you want free serial to this os visit http://www.dreamspark.com. You need to confirm your student status if you want one

volume is probably a slipstreamed version
retail is probably the one Microsoft released this week

i'm still waiting for a datacenter release

I think you guys are posting wrong links.. This is supposed to be full Server 2008 with the SP2 integrated, not only the SP2..

Also you can see that in the size: "Size: 1.66 GB"
