#90, by your "logic," you also shouldn't pay for internet access either –might as well leech it wherever you can.

$15 a month is worth it for those who aren't stupid enough to rely on 200Mb chunk downloads from free sites. Good luck download 1080p Blu-Ray rips at reasonable speed. Enjoy downloading that 12Gb double DVD game?

Yeah, I can do que them up and have them completed overnight.

Anyone paying $15 a month must be an idiot, I guess, because YOU said so.

You don't like my advice? Then ignore it or at least use your brain to attempt a rebuttal.

    Peace out.

This is really confusing. No one seem to answer other people question directly. The NFO suck! It should explain more briefly.
The release is English only? and it could be the reason for its small size? and nothing was strip out? Can anyone confirm that?

if this turn out to be junk then i should wait for a solid release.

I as well would like to know if anyone has upgraded (not fresh install) from Vista to Windows 7 (x64 preferably)?

I'm using Vista x64 OEM from BIE at the moment and I do wonder whether I'll be able to upgrade properly without conflicts.

@121 – i have upgrade from vista x64 ultimate to win 7 ultimate x64 with out any problems but not with this release, one of the earlier x64 finals bout a month ago.
The only thing you you loose is vista ultimate extras which are supposedly not supported in win 7. Apart from that no problems.

@115 Mac: I have great success with megauploads.com and megashares.com when using JDownloader. Lets me queue up my downloads as Free User. My rapidshare account just recently expired (after 2 years of service) and I find JDownloader to be better than rapidshares's download manager I used when I had a premium account. Best of luck to ya.

I'm using the RC version and never downloaded the retail version or any official release yet.
I was waiting for BIE release cause it's the best and the most reliable version available. Regarding my experience with Vista's BIE, In the last one year i tested over 6 BIE releases.

BIE is the only version to get.

I did a complete wipe, reformat and load from scratch. All my testing, I zero out the hard drives to be sure I have a complete new system to test on. And this drive never had anything but XP on it before loading this (did the X86 install, just FYI). If anyone gets this to work I would love to know how.

Why bother with all the "does it work", "will it activate" questions.
Search for "Windows 7Loader OEM 1.5 Release 2 23-8-2009 by Orbit30 / Hazar (32 and 64 bit)" just type hazar into search in releaselog.
Download the activator, the hotfile link is ok just checked it. In the Rar read the nfo, at the bottom is a torrent link for 32 and 64 bit, along with the SHA-1 & MD5 hashes.
I have downloaded this and activated it, and the hashes match the info microsoft released.

I've installed the x86 on my Lenovo laptop and it shows "Windows is Activated"

I've installed all of the latest updates from MS too. I'm going to let the machine run for couple days before I install on my production box, but so far so good for those of you wondering. I used the link from post 2 or 9….sorry. I don't remember which one exactly :(

  37. Ex0duS_5150
    September 10th, 2009 | 03:57

i burned it at 2x with IMGburn.. it booted to the install screen fine.. i didn't install it cause i don't need to right now.. for the people that get install errors or hang ups, make sure your download is not corrupted, burn it at 2x only, and if all of that is good and your machine is not overclocked at all then it should work.. anyone else that got the activation to work or not work please post.. we all need feed back on that..

Gizmo* where did you get the SHA-1 & MD5 hashes from? the ones from Microsoft so i can verify my download?

Just installed @143 Deepstar's x64 links from the desktop.

(Mount the image, drag and drop the files from the .iso into a folder of your choice and run setup)

Everything installed just fine. It asked me for a serial, I skipped that part and upon checking the activation it reads 'Windows Is Activated'.
I have also downloaded all updates available from Windows Update.

This release seems to do the job.

    Thanks Deepstar and BIE.

    September 10th, 2009 | 05:53

sounds similar to BIE's vista, sometimes it wont activate, i reinstalled it after the first failure and it worked, activated on the second attempt.

    September 10th, 2009 | 06:10

@bob and Bonk, thank you very much for your reply's. its helped me at least make a decision on whether or not to install it when im ready, and i will.. reinstalling it a second time is no biggie to me.. if all else fails ill just use an activator.. although id rather not..

Someone please tell me if BIE is the best release for windows 7 ? Is the BIE group as good as ETH0 for winxp?
Should I be waiting for a later release, or is this as good as it gets until SP1? Should i wait for a better crack?
Is there a way NOT to activate it? This is because I might want to use a more updated way to activate it in the future, or before the 30 days is up.

  57. Strato
    September 11th, 2009 | 03:23

JKewl I used the megaupload links provided kindly from #180.
I had a computer of my neighbours that I upgraded for him and tried it on there. It works great and windows updates work. also it is activated. I used jdownloader to download it. It also extracts for you and you end up with one folder with the only thing you need is bie786.iso I use imageburn to burn it and then do a fresh install. However if I was not using jdownloader, I normally use winrar. But that one works and is x86 or 32 bit. Hope this helps.

    Ok here is the deal.
    This release works for me.
    Here is how:

    1.Download it and Extract (Rapidshare/Torrent)
    2.Burn it to a DVD at 4x Speed,not more.
3.Either Boot it or install via Previous Window.
    4.You can Upgrade,it will work,or do a clean install.
5.When it finishes before the end it will ask you for a serial. DON'T INPUT ANYTHING! Just click ok,a CMD program will open. Don't interrupt it,it will generate a serial and activate your windows.
6.When it's all done, you are free to do whatever you like.

Also,Windows Upadate work,so you can download the patches or w/e language packs.
You can also Upgrade if you have Windows Vista Ultimate 32/64 bit (Service pack, version, release doesn't matter),it will work, after that you don't even have to install the drivers. The only thing you will lose is Windows Ultimate Extras.

By now my windows states it's activated and i have restarted my computer several times. Will keep in touch if it changes. Hope this helps.

    Re #210

    1) I still get 30 days left for activation
    2) I did NOT enter a serial
    3) I kept the box for "will check online for activation" checked.
    4) I did choose a username and password
    5) I am using an HP 6715b laptop
    Help!!

"3) I kept the box for "will check online for activation" checked."

That doesn't matter,my box was also checked.

Some pc-s have problems and i'm afraid i cannot help much beyond that, mostly Notebooks.

Sometimes Activation will say that windows is not activated, but restarting the computer seems to fix the problem.
Also i had vista before and it said 30 days till activation, when 30 days passed it either activated or reset the counter. Sometimes random, but never had a problem before. We can't know for sure if it will cause problems if it says that it ain't activated.
I installed it today,x64 bit tho, everything works fine.

@214 "winxp sp3 in virtual mode" – You have to download this separately from microsoft, its much like virtual pc, but more integrated with the OS.

Well i've tried many combinations but it looks like this bie release just does not work.

    1)Clean install (drive formatted)
    2)Chose English-UK keyboard
    3)No serial entered
4)Box unchecked for "will check online for activation"
    5)Username created but no password
6)Chose "no thanks later" for updates

Just does not work for me

I've also tried other releases & loaders with no luck!?
