I tried to install BIE’s last release (OEM-October, both x86 and 64bit) on my Macbook Pro through Bootcamp. I was unable to even begin a fresh install on a new partition, nor could I upgrade my existing Vista (which I paid for! $15 on campus) Bootcamp Partition. I understand there is a problem with installing OEM versions on BootCamp – does anyone have a solution, or a different version of Windows 7 that will work? Cheers, R.

i been waiting for a good copy of Windows 7, i think i will wait a little longer. Why would you want 86 and 64 i just need 64 Seems like a waste to have both. Well it should not be to long before we get another version.

@people who want to know the difference between BIE and original Win7+loader:

Some people prefer using an original win7 disc (which is double-checked for authenticity using hashes like md5). Then they test out different loaders to see which activates their win7. If one fails, they try another. If down the road, microsoft decides to block these loaders’ activation methods, another new loader will come out and it will work on original md5 accurate win7.

On the other hand, some people want the easy way and use BIE releases. This group already pre-activated their versions using one of the loaders, and saved it as an image file for just “download, burn, and use”. No need to worry about using different loaders. While this works very well now, in the future (if you do windows updates), microsoft decides to block it, you will get stuck because BIE releases are modified and not true win7 images. By that I mean it has some files modified on it already when you get it. You cannot use loaders on these versions in the future because it is not an original win7 file. That is why some people don’t like this version. NOTHING IS WRONG with BIE releases. It is just people’s preferences.

To summarize: if you would like it the easy way, get BIE releases, either x86 (32 bit) or x64. It is 2 separate downloads. Just remember to never do windows updates and you’ll be good for life! If you want to do a little more risky updates, use loaders. It will enable you to keep getting windows 7 updates as new loaders would most likely be created in the future.

Read win7 forums over at mydigitallife for more info.

Hello everyone, I downloaded the 7 starter N edition by CBRS and as you all know when installing it asks you which versions you want to install. I just wanted to know if I choose the professional version from the 7 starter N edition by CBRS during the setup if it will get installed? And will the removewat work on that professional edition?
    Thanks in advance!

Best Windows 7 version is the OEM.This is for vendors,is permanently activated by Microsoft themselves and you don’t need to be concerned with anything after that. You have a legit copy and can also do direct downloads from Microsoft. The only version of any release worth having. We need this version ONLY.All the other stuff are temp crappy solutions.

  39. Bill
    November 16th, 2009 | 13:33

I used this file to upgrade to Windows7 from XP. Had absolutely no problems, it found it’s own activation code after I skipped entering one, and, it obtained updates that I installed this AM.

    November 16th, 2009 | 15:32

So Benny, what if BIE have just packaged an auto-activated the OEM version? The OEM certificate and vendor might still be blacklisted at SP1 but of course by then we will all have a shiny new download which will auto-activate a new OEM key/certificate and SLIC emulator :)

Just download this if it works and remember kids, if you’re running a pirate version of a Microsoft operating system on non-OEM hardware how do you know you can completely trust Microsoft to provide you with updates unless both your pirate copy and hardware (i.e. SLIC BIOS) is EXACTLY the same as the genuine ones.

The ultimate pirate copy of Windows is an OEM one for a large vendor installed on a machine with a SLIC 2.1 BIOS (or modded BIOS) matching the OEM certificate and OEM key used.

Hey folks, I downloaded and installed the Nov OEM 32 bit Windows 7 Ultimate. However, when it came to the key i skipped it and I did see in a cmd windows that it entered a key by it self. But when I went to activate Windows – it did not recognise the Win 7 Ultimate Product key.

Any ideas. Did I do something wrong or missed?
    Pls advise. Thx.
