Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate Original MS ISO x86 & x64-GRP

Ok, we are few days late with this releases (2 days to be more precise). Anyways, these are original final untouched Windows 7 Ultimate images from Microsoft (build 7600.16385.090713-1255). Enjoy them!

NOTE: Keep in mind these are without any kind of cracks / activations. There are some beta activators floating around, but most of them are using RC pkeyconfig.xrm-ms & tokens.dat files. That means if you activate Windows 7 on that way (with RC Keys available from Microsoft) they’ll expire on March 2010. But if you ask me, better that than 30 days. If you’re still interested in that kind of activation check out this tutorial. Otherwise wait for a proper activation solution.

    Until the MSDN version is out this Aug6, take this release with a grain of salt. w/o any MD5 checksum from MS, we cant really confirm if this is the final *UNTOUCHED* version

    I dunno why everyone's jumping on this RTM, It's still full of bugs and is still nigh on impossible to install on a abit motherboard and countless others, There are no driver updates yet, Certain programs don't work….The list is endless.

    I'm sticking to xp until they REALLY sort it out.

    @73 Sounds like you need a hardware upgrade. I know of many people that are running Win7 now with no trouble. A few driver issues but nothing that cant be resolved with a Google search for a fix.

    Kind of NOOB Question……? What's the OEM for? Am I better off getting the OEM version? Whats the difference? I know what the difference is when I go to the store and buy it but why offer both versions for download?

    Windows 7 will be no better than Vista, unless they sort out all the bugs and program incompatibility. And that will only happen if they persuade XP users to switch inorder to report or help fix the bugs, which will probably take years to reach the level XP has. It will probably be scraped before then

    People, get with the times, win vista and even more so 7, have features that make getting around and performing task so much quicker. 7 plug and plays a huge amount of hardware, and is less susceptible to malware. sure windows xp served all of us very well, but its dated.

    p.s. i told yall fu|<ers build 7600.16385 was RTM.

    Have you ever tried Vista or Windows 7? It is a fact that XP has "no" bugs but it is also a fact that XP has been out for many years.

    Why dont you go with the time and try new things? If every single one would be as small-minded as you… of course all the software-devs woudnt think about developing new drivers abd software (etc.)…

    I could write much more about windows 7 but honestly … i dont want to….

    Windows 7 x64: Give it a try, unless you have (at least) 4gb of ram.
    No bugs till know. WoW, Css, Sacred2, GTA4, Half Life 2 WAR-Online, Wc3… Photoshop and many other softwares, which were desigend for x86 run smoothley.

    I have a quad core cpu and a 8800gt graphics card with 4gb ram. About every 2 to 3 years Microsoft comes up with a new OS that is invariably filled with bugs and security holes and then tries to lure their customers to be guinea pigs.
    I'd rather they spent 10 years and come up with an OS that works, then ask for bucks every 2 to 3 years for an OS that doesn't do anything significantly new for me except cause me grief. I'll never switch from XP to a newer Windows until Microsoft includes a backward-compatibilty mode, even if it has to run degraded. I have too many critical things I use (some real time apps), for which the vendor no longer exists and there is no suitable replacement. Even simple things like syncing a Sony Clie PDA doesn't work in Vista, and won't work under Windows 7. No thanks. If I want an incompatible OS, I'll switch to Linux before upgrading to a new Windows.

    @FIDO, 1st, the thing is that an OS has exactly that, 10 yeas of life expectancy… XP has almost 13 years… MS isn't forcing you to buy the new OS… keep XP if you have a valid license.

    2nd, what makes a good OS?… OSX?… no… a good OS is one that is build right from the ground up, and used by as many people as possible.

    Thing is that Longhorn's team failed to deliver… they stepped down… Vista's team stepped in but with the time limit, they rushed things… 7 is now here with an overhaul… better 64 bit support and overall fairly stable.

    I've been on BETA and RCs for a long time… not even on BSOD! True, incompatible apps… but that's just faulty programming. In order to save time, programmers take shortcuts which in the end affect scalability, so some programs that work in XP won't work in 7.

    BTW, what are the names of the apps that you can't run?

    Try a virtualized environment… 7 has Windows XP Mode and there is also VMware's solutions which are targeted more at professionals.

    For the Windows 7 naysayers, I have a son who would not let me put the 7100 version on from Microsoft as he is a gamer. He had been using XP and forever and Vista on occasion, with a dual core, 4 gigs of ram and 8800gt video card. But finally he "allowed" me to intall it. He has never looked back. All his drivers loaded on the initial install and he has found he can play all his games. Some he has to use the compatablility mode and administrator to run. He has had no BSOD's and says almost all of his games run better with Windows 7 that either XP or Vista.
    My point is that I do not understand the naysayers complaints unless it is stubborness and unwilling to allow change or they are using an older system incapable of using 7 or for that matter Vista.
    To them I say, you don't know what you are missing when you don't have it.

    At first I was unsure of even Vista but after using x64 Vista I've had absolutely zero problems with games and it runs great and very smoothly.

    Hey Goodie, try this little freeware hash checker program. It integrates into the windows shell, so that you can just right click on a file and then there is a tab which will give give you the checksum values.

    It worked great for me on Vista x64, but I believe it works with most all of the Windows versions from XP onwards.

    LOL @ all the crappy mobo's blaming Windows 7 for Vista running like crap. Wake up kids…tons of people have Vista AND (especially) Windows 7 running very well on their machines.     @ 148: Thanks m8 i've already been to that page and I have had it working (with 1 IDE drive connected) But as soon as I put my 2nd IDE and 2 sata's back on line, It refuses to boot up. I disabled EIST and C1E and also the onboard sata controller to install it, But turn the sata back on and Ka-poof….No-go. Btw I also have an IB9 board.

    I'll just wait until they address this stupid mistake that they have obviously made, Considering the beta was fine to install, First time. Typical M$.

    I've done a comparison between the x86 of GRP's and that of YOMOFOSHEREISOEM.

    The OEM has one file that GRP's doesn't, it's sources\ei.cfg and it contains just this text:
    [EditionID]
    Ultimate
    [Channel]
    OEM
    [VL]
    0

    While GRP's has one file that YOMOFOSHEREISOEM doesn't and I don't know what the heck it does… it's MediaMeta.xml and contains an ID… it's possibly a signature file.

    Downloading one or the other makes no real difference… just adding or removing that file will make it or not into an OEM.

How is someone supposed to know that is even in there unless they stop to open the SFX with WinRAR rather than double click it!

    hey I was using Windows7.7600 china (no-RTM)
    and now I formated my HDD and installed the Windows7.OEM
    and the new OS takes more time to start and the performance is less than the China Release (witch is weird it must be more faster than no-RTM), is this normal or this OEM is nuked for some reason.

    I agree with you, that probably means this is not the final thing, logon screensaver is always my favorite and there is always a new one with each Windows so thats a big hint for anyone to when the build is final or not!…

    On a side note, if you have Vista you can copy the logon.scr and use it in Windows 7, it looks cool, the new version for Windows 7 will hopefully be way cooler!…

    Hello guys,
    I downloaded the Hazars 7 activator posted by @230 and i opened the rar file to see the commands. They seem ok, but in the nfo it says:
    "PS. if u have that hidden boot partition u need to assing a letter. run diskmgmt.msc (as admin) before u run the exe"
    I want to try it in my new laptop that it has that hidden partition inside but i cannot assign a letter in this hidden partition. I ran the disk management and when i left click in the hidden partition it only provides a help option and nothing else, so i cannot assign a letter… So i am afraid if the activator messes the partition and the boot sector after the restart, because i have also the win vista in dual boot… So can anyone clarify if there is a possibility for that to happen or how to assign a letter in this partition? Btw i am using the x86 version of Windows 7 Ultimate…Thx in advance…

    reason it didnt work in the first place was you have to have your OPERATING SYSTEM on the same drive as your OS Bootloader.

    If you have your OS on say C and your boot files for that os on D it wont work. well thats how i fixed it anyway lol

    the OEM version is nuked and they dont release the OEM versions (to retailers) once the RTM period is over. trust me, i work in a computer store.

    A tip for activation,

    i tried hazars activator and the orbit version 4 and didnt work for me on x86 but the wow7 did..

    recieved "loading acpi" blining cursor after restart with hazars, so had to do mbr repair with the disk.

    Then tried orbits 4 new one, tried none slic hack 1 which looked like it had activated ,said succesfull etc but on restart was not activated still.

    Then did none slic hack to on the orbit4 which same as hazars left with blinking cursor, "loading acpi" and wouldn`t go further.

    Someone gave a tip after you have used the activator "shut down" in stead of restart to avoid the blinking cursor.

    I didn`t do this as i used the wow7 activator before i found the info..

    Good luck, just doing x64 version on the other pc will go smoothly as x86 i hope..

    #256 Just run setup.exe on root of Win7 DVD and choose your language to install in Win7, DO NOT INSERT KEY when asked, when done run activator in !Activator dir on Win7 DVD and press button "INSTALL 7 LOADER". That's it. This one is great, enjoy!
