Microsoft Windows 7 7260 RTM BRANCH 32BIT-BBYERSR

This is fascinating. Day ago I’ve made a post about build 7232, and here we have newest 7260. One step closer to RTM. Beta/RC keys seems to be still working. Read NFO for further information. ;)

Update: The primary source of Windows 7 leaks seems to be located in Russia. The latest of a long series of leaks is Windows 7 Build 7260 which made its way on the Internet just yesterday. The build is available as a 32-bit Windows 7 Ultimate VHD image (virtual hard drive image) with the build string 6.1.7260.0.win7_rtm.090612-2110 which indicates that the build was compiled on June 12.

Microsoft is currently aiming for the RTM build which might raise the build number to 7300.

    fourthly versions over 7100 and 7100 are RCs
    fifthly download, or wait till september for final ver ;)

    Just a quick question, after downloading this build, as a VHD file, what are the next steps, I mean, what should I do to install this to my partition ?

    And another question – specially to you win7vista – rlrlog says it has 2,16 GB however on the FTP u provided file is over 4,8 GB – why the difference ? :)

    Converting a vhd to iso or we'll add it to the ftp in 10 minutes

    Requirements:
    - A VHD
    - An ISO of any Windows 7100 build (If the VHD is x86, the ISO has to be x86 also. Same thing goes for x64.)
    - GImageX
    - UltraISO

    Steps:
    1. Start > Right-click on My Computer > Manage > Disk Management
    3. Click on More Actions and select Attach VHD, and locate your VHD
    4. Open up GImageX
    5. For source, select the drive which the VHD was mounted to
    6. For destination, make the file name install.wim and choose where it should be placed
    7. For SKU Flag, choose Ultimate
    8. For the description information, just customize it however you like
    9. Once done, click the Create button
    10. Once the conversion is complete, open UltraISO
    11. Open the ISO with UltraISO
    12. Inside the ISO, there will be a sources folder, so just remove the install.wim file and drag the install.wim file that you made with GImageX into the sources folder. (In other words, you are just replacing the install.wim file that's on the ISO, with the one that you made.)
    13. Finally, save it as an ISO
    14. Burn the ISO using UltraISO or mount the ISO!

    Nice post Generic. Cant wait for final RTM 64 bit version. Why??? Because 64 bit version RULES, and I have more than 4 gb ram.

    Windows 7 FTW…

    Suggestion to all: Take your time , make a fresh install. Don't upgrade form Vista to Windows 7 – I wouldn't recommend it.
    Upgrading your Windows 7 to newer build – that's ok. ;-)

    it really depends what version your are running and which installer the iso was created from, the last iso was 7229 so if your running a later one than this it will not be possible to update and you will need to do a fresh install

    It still seems like a lot of things to do, and another question popped to my head – if I would have an ISO, from youor FTP, can I then install it on a fresh partition, having Win XP on another one ? Or is it more complicated ?

    iso will be on the server in 15minute just copying it to the windows 7 7260 folder now.

    You can dual bot both windows 7 and xp but you may need to change the bot ini a bit.

    And its not fake mircosoft are only releasing vhd untill the rtm build now.They will be creating 5 build and they will pick which one they are going to release as RTM which should be signed off on the 19th of june and will be on http://www.vinylzine.com/ not long after

    Yeah I know I can dual boot, I had Win 7 RC1 installed along with my XP.
    The queation is, weather the process of installing this version – from ISO, which you are uploading to FTP, is the same as any other OS installation.
    I mean I burn the ISO to DVD, put it in my drive, boot from it, Install, use.

    Or is it different? :>

    yeah the iso version is the same as any other OS you can bot from it and upgrade any windows 7 builds older than 7100 (rc) it just just the installer is from 7100 but adds all the update file from the vhd to make it build 7260.

    This is why some people think its fake or you could just run the vhd as a virtual machine up to you

    This one is FAKE, actually it turns out to be 7100 compress .iso

    this is what it reads: windows 7 7260.0.x86fre.win7_rtm.090612-2110.client_en-us.ultimate[torrents.ru].vhd – ISO 13346 UDF archive, unpacked size 3,285,516,698 bytes SETUP is 7100. and date show correct for 7100.

    ISO is out on TPB … the VHD process is not fail safe I would stick with ISO upgrade after mounted on disc.

    Am currently running 7229 I dont see the point in collecting all these RC builds… let us know when the true RTM hits

    for those that keep asking, RTM – Release To Manufacturer, its the build that manufacturers like Gateway or Dell will get for thier own customization to be sold pre-installed on future machines.

    It's not letting me upgrade from Build 7231

    I think it's because this release uses the 7100 loader so the installer thinks I'm trying to upgrade to an earlier build.

    Is there a way of tricking the installer?

    This version doesnt work, i formated the PC , install a fresh copy and stop in 3%, after 5 minutes or more, give a error. Already tryed two times in diferent computers. :(

    win7vista, could you also add a VMC file to the latest VHD? Unfortunately, without VMC I can't import the VirtualPC image to VMWare, as well as I can't install VPC on the same machine where I have the VMWare installed…
    Where can I get the proper VMC file for the latest VHD?
