Releaselog

Microsoft Windows 7 32Bit Build 6801 DVD-WinBeta

Another early build of Windows 7! Old one here. This build, 6801, was distributed at the Microsoft PDC 2008. I’m gonna get this cause all the recent screenshots and videos got me excited and interested! The nfo didn’t say it so im guessing you don’t have to install this over vista. For you guys that don’t read nfos you must install this without a key. Enjoy!

Windows 7 is designed to make everyday tasks faster and easier, and make new things possible for end users. Windows 7 reflects an evolved approach to engineering that incorporates customer and partner feedback more closely into the development process. It will deliver innovative new features while focusing on application and device compatibility. With Windows 7, Microsoft is working to establish a more consisted and predictable release schedule so partners across the Windows ecosystem can easily and quickly build on the new capabilities Windows has to offer.

@9 according to Balmer Vista’s only issue is one of perception: people think it sucks because of bad publicity and an apple smear campaign. In order to address this, they changed the name: people like numbers.

whats the big deal about a ‘taskbar’ . download windowblinds or some gui skinner and you’ll have xp not even resembling a win machine after some customization.

    xp ftw :)

Blimy, it will take more than a “name change” to save Vista.

I sincerely hope for all our sakes this is as far from Vista as humanly possible!

  38. John Smith

Funny how Balmer can blame everyone for people hating VISTA except for the real reason, MS themselves and VISTA sucking. Oh well maybe if all they did was change the name, and Win7 sucks in sales like vista, they might wake up from Denial and stop blaming others.

  63. Tbone
    October 30th, 2008 | 09:01

This is such a rip off. Vista is just a bunch of code pile on top of XP tweaked, not a build from the ground up.

WIndows 7 is more like a Service Pack, given a new name to give the stigma of something new and great. So more code piled on the mountains of code.

I am a system admin, and I run Vista. We are a M$ shop, and running 64 bit Vista gives me the ability to run more than 3 gigs of ram. I run XP in a VM. Vista has problems and bugs, but running a quad core with 8 gigs of ram has advantages. Soon 16 gigs will be the norm.

Personally I want to run Gentoo or Ubuntu and VM Vista/XP, I just haven’t had the time to set it up. To F’n busy. I was going to do it 2 weeks ago, but my computer crashed, so I had to get back up and running fast.

How to activate windows 7 it works 100% legit i love this
    1) Go to your Control Panel and select “System”
    2) Go down to “Windows Activation” and select “Change product key”
    3) Enter one of the RC product keys and click next…it will probably tell you that someone else is using the key and give you the option to use Automated Phone activated, select the Phone option.
    4) Write down the long Product ID numbers, and call up the phone number that you picked from the country list.

    Keys:
    3YFJ7-3486F-7488V-3VDMF-2PJMW
PQ3WY-TTRJG-677GJ-8K2CT-C8XJV < Seems the best one to change to.
    VP3W6-62WBD-FRV8T-XV3R2-CCH6P
    2J4JT-P34KF-YMGH8-FKDRQ-JP8M9
    6F9GH-B44V6-4QMBQ-BXRVM-MTPVQ
    PVYFQ-2JTBV-9KXQ2-FQHDY-HTBVH
    H4G2W-PP294-JHWG3-H6XBJ-7MG73
    TDRRR-BPQ2P-2PTVK-W2XYR-QJPYV
    6JXK3-C2K74-GFQX9-PYK4T-2GP9R

    Phone process:
Just call them up, it’s an Automated process.

When dialed, Press 2; Start entering the first 6 digits of the Product ID Code, then hold, enter the next 6 digits, then hold… (etc etc)

Then it asks you 2 questions after that: Just press “1″ for each.

After that, grab your pen and it tells you the number to enter to activate your copy of windows.

DON’T BE PARANOID, THEY’RE NOT GOING TO TRACK YOU DOWN AND BUST INTO YOUR HOUSE BECAUSE YOU ACTIVATED A PRE-BETA OF WINDOWS WITH A BETA KEY.
(Or use a pay phone if your are)

The above keys are from the old vista beta and rc program microsoft had
