    When I try to run word it says the product key is wrong! But during installation I dont get a choice to input a product code

    Got it working, I had to manually delete some files that stored my previous version product id.

    This works perfectly, THANKS!
    Whoever asks for passwords: use you Mac Account's password to install the application. The Office Installer doesn't require a serial number to be entered.

    Delete these…

    /Applications/Microsoft Office 2008/Office/OfficePID.plist

    and this… (I deleted full folder)

    your username/Library/Preferences/Microsoft/Office 2008/Microsoft Office 2008 settings.plist

    Then the 12.2.1 update works fine…
