    @2 Yeah, OpenOffice.org does have OneNote for syncing notes with my Windows Mobile device. And powerfull PIM like Outlook.

    Open Office wont around much longer now Oracle has got hold of it here's something else to think about

    Oracle now owns MySQL this site, every website/forum/blog runs of MySQL if Oracle kills of the Community Version bye bye the internet since the entire base of the net runs on some variation of mysql

    open office virtual box will be abandoned no doubt
    so it wont be available for much longer not sure about virtual box though.

    Just thought i would throw that out there.

    Oracle actually sells MySQL to customers who don't need a full on enterprise RDBMS with the view that when the customer needs to scale up, they can offer one of the Oracle databases. So I don't think MySQL is out of the picture quite yet. Eventually it will go back to it's open source roots and fade into the background.

    If Oracle drops OpenOffice, then Novell may well step in and take it over as it did with SUSE Linux.

    Frado's links are rather sad.. get the links from somebody else, his links are for 6 200 mb files when the release is only 700 mb compressed. It works.. but whoever re-packed it was too lazy or stupid to realize that they put the files in it twice, once in 15 mb parts and once in a 400mb part and a 300 mb part.. rather than repacking it they just didnt include the last archive with the links.. hence why there's only 6 parts and it asks for a 7th part if you try to extract all

    unpack the rars and mount/burn the dvd (cca 940 mb)
