CYGiSO came with Microsoft’s Expression Studio version 2, collection of useful tools for web & graphic designers. Included tools are: Expression Web 2, Expression Blend 2, Expression Design 2, Expression Media 2, Expression Encoder 2 & Visual Studio Standard 2008.

    Ive learned about this earlier this year when they offered free trials. Its their first big throw to beat Adobe. For the microsoft fan’s definately worth it. But if you’re used to the ongoing growing quality of Adobe, why change habits? Still… good stuff though ;)

    just installed and figured out its a piece of Sh**.

    Basically-
    * Microsoft Expression Web (code-named Quartz) – WYSIWYG website designer and HTML editor.
    * Microsoft Expression Blend (code-named Sparkle) – Visual user interface builder for Windows Presentation Foundation and Silverlight applications.
    * Microsoft Expression Design (code-named Acrylic) – Raster and vector graphics editor.
    * Microsoft Expression Media – Digital asset and media manager.
    * Microsoft Expression Encoder – VC-1 content professional encoder.

    The Adobe Line is much better btw.

    I always used Dreamweaver for webdesign …
    It has everything you need.

    But I’m always open for new stuff.
    I’m not a MS fan, but is this really good?
    Can this replace Dreamweaver?

    I’ve used the expression web 2.0 from a previous release, and to be honest dreamweaver still rules when it comes to web design, but am willing to give this ago as it may have some features dreamweaver hasn’t, would be curious to find out if thats the case though.

    But bear in mind adobe CS4 is well on its way, i’ve seen betas for dreamweaver CS4 and the whole suite out there so in any case dreamweaver will still come out on top no matter what M$ decide to through at it.

    uuh .. anyone has installed this yet?
    i get stuck when my pc tries to install .Net Framework 3.5 ..
    so can’t get further ..
    anyone knows why?

    Well played CYGiSO, been waiting for this keygen for a while.

    Expression Blend is Microsoft’s fully featured XAML Editor, there’s one built into VS2008 (w/ patching) but it’s not got the same GUI support.

    Why they chose to use totally different terminology in each application, is however, beyond me. In VS2008, we have the “Text” property, in Exp. Blend we have “Content”. I could go on.

    This is typical of Microsoft, the 2.5b Edition also contains numerous bugs, lets hope they’re new…
