There’s plenty of WEB rips lately and this release is exactly such one. Nonlinear Reality is the name of new album from band called Methodrone and it’s a pretty good compilation of 7 chillout songs. This ambient music is ideal for relaxing or just working with the music on background. Give it a try!

“Nonlinear Reality” is the debut album from bi-coastal (San Francisco and New York to be exact) live/electronic fusion team “Methodrone”.  Born out of an intense marathon recording session (18 songs in one week) “Nonlinear Reality” loosely falls into the “chillout” category but is in reality much more. This instrumental album borrows from dance music, psychedelic rock, and ambient styles to create tracks that are rich, powerful, and sophisticated.  The album’s luscious, expansive sound palate is reminiscent of Breeder, Voyager, the productions of Charlie May, and Sasha’s Airdrawndagger.

The album as a whole is tightly themed, but various moods and atmospheres take shape upon listening to the individual tracks.  Wide open spaces and natural beauty come to mind when listening to “s4D”, while “Slow It Down” and “Elevate” feel like the perfect accompaniment to blissful outer space travel.  ”Live And High”, “Out There Floating”, and “Passing Time” each play out as powerful soundtracks.  The album finishes on a mysterious, moody, tension-filled note with “Systematic Glitch”.  A purposeful cliffhanger on the part of the Methodrone?  You’ll have to wait for the next album to find out.
