Metallica – Death Magnetic (2008)

A highly awaited new album from Metallica is finally here. Death Magnetic which is scheduled middle of September has been leaked thanks to certain French shop which started selling the album. The internet has been flooded with various rips of it yesterday, but we wanted to wait for a first scene release, which has been pred just 11 minutes ago by group FJORTiSO. However, it’s been instantly nuked for CBR bitrate, so you might give these non scene rips try after all.

Death Magnetic is the upcoming ninth studio album by American heavy metal band Metallica. It is scheduled for release on September 12, 2008 by Warner Bros. Records. The album will be the band’s first to feature current bassist Robert Trujillo, and the first to be produced by Rick Rubin. Death Magnetic also marks the first time in the band’s history in which all band members contributed to each song on an album, and is the first album in twenty years to feature an instrumental track, since … And Justice for All. It will be their first studio album released through Warner Bros., although they still remain with Warner Music Group, which also owns Elektra Records, the band’s previous label.

    this is not as bad as i tough it would be
    music style reminds me alot of “and justice for all” album.
    some parts of songs seem to be forced.badly timed solo.already heard lyrics… but owerall im very impresed by this album so far.
    give metallica another chance.

    They only make money on album sales after going gold/platinum unless they have a sweethart deal with their label. They ought to follow the lead of many bands who >> tour/tour/tour thats where the real money is at in rock. Look at the Stones, been going for like half a century and still tour like young uns.

    Have to say, this album is quality !! I wasn’t expecting it to be as good as it is….it’s never gonna be like Justice or Puppets, so get over it ppl !!! It does stand well on it’s own two feet and i can see it being very, very popular !

    Look, I am not as big of a Metallica fan as I used to be because their music isnt as good as it used to be. Maybe they sold out a little on Load and Re-Load. However, those of you who hate them because they sued Napster, take a second and ask yourself, shouldnt they have? They certainly were within their rights, their product was being stolen.
    Now, I know that they have made a ton of money, and didnt need it, but thats not the point. They didnt actually go after any of the users, and Napster offered a settlement, which Metallica and Dr. Dre both accepted. Metallica has always allowed fans to bootleg their concerts, something that a greedy group of guys would never allow. Nobody hates Dr. Dre the way people hate Metallica and Dre was just as much of a force in the lawsuit as Lars.

    I am not trying to knock Dr. Dre, my heart goes out to him as he copes with the loss of his son.
