    This was a pretty good show, can’t wait for the next episode. It’s got it’s cheesy moments but it’s a revamped version of what we always thought (aka no need for wands etc, atleast from the first ep)

    I’d rate it 7/10 and probably better than a lot of crap out there now a days.

    @11 yeah I thought that – it really is “PC” gone too far to have black people in 12th century england – she REALLY wouldn’t have been popular during the crusades!

    i’m waiting for the lady of the lake to be played by queen latifa!

    anyway the show was pretty good, not all the modern-day mistakes like in robin hood.

    You guys really aren’t serious, lol. There were black people (free and not) in ancient Rome. So of course there were black people in England during the Middle Ages. READ A BOOK, lol.

    @Rob & @Bob

    Ancient Rome!= Medieval England.

    And they certainly did not comprise the percentage of the populace as would be indicated in this propaganda.

    And yes, the Arthurian Legends are based in fact.

    This is simply a historical reversionism and an attack on white culture.

    “Arthurian Legends are based in fact.”

    lol, and Gwynn ap Nudd still lives in the underworld – the entrance to which is beneath glastonbury tor.

    and Rhiannon REALLY did eat her son Pryderi.

    Get a grip mate – you can’t believe there were people of other ethnicity in the middle ages yet you believe a load of fairy tales.

    Myrddin surely existed (but not the merlin people like to believe in), as did “arthur” – although likely not as a king; and only had any power in the area that is now cornwall.

    None of it is based on fact – it’s all conjecture and guesswork. But none of that matters as this is a trashy prime-time tv show (one with lots of its story lifted from the book A Wizard of Earthsea btw). It’s got wizards and witches and dragons and other things that didn’t exist. get a grip.

    @wutwutwutwut

    No Ancient Rome is not the same as Medival England. But if you’d open one of those mysterious things called “books”, you’d know that 1) the Romans spent a significant amount of time in England, 2) the Roman army was made up of people from all over, not just Romans, 3) you might know something about the Moors, and 4) black people of the period could ride horses, camels, sail, and walk just like everyone else. Hence they went pretty much everywhere.

    You’re right it is reversionism. What’s being corrected is the false lily white version of history.

    It is and has always been a multi-colored world….get use to it, lol.

    Show is’nt the greatest but watchable and better than alot ofcrap out atm, thanks for this.
    Takes ALOT of libertys with the Merlin/Arthurian mythos but you can forgive it when you remember it’s a moden rehash done mostly for kids. Watching this with a friend I even deffend the use of black acters saying that it could be possible if not probaile.

    All that said what I could not belive was that they would have a black actress playing Guinevere.. seriously guys, seriously. That’s too PC, it’s not racest not to give the part to a black atress in the same way it’s not sexest to give the part to a male actor. Was’nt even that the actress was that good to justify using her.
