Meet The Spartans UNRATED DVDRip XviD-Larceny

Well it seems NONE of the editors were at their computers when this film was released in DVDRip quality by Larceny, which is something highly unusual, so you get this one a few hours late. Altogether I’ve heard only awful things about this film. Just like “The Movies” (Epic Movie, Superhero Movie etc.) this is pretty much the lowest form of comedy you can find. It started out well with Scary Movie one to three (especially number three, because Charlie Sheen is legend), but now these types of films have gone too far. Try to enjoy it if you have absolutely nothing else to do. Otherwise, download season 5 dvdrips of “Penn and Teller Bullshit”, which was released just a few hours ago. Thats something which is definitely worth watching.

Quality: Very good quality. Just look at the samples.

Writers/producers/directors Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer (DATE MOVIE, EPIC MOVIE) use the film 300 as the basis for their latest spoof. Born to be the perfect Spartan, Leonidas (Sean Magiure) faces numerous trials en route to becoming a man, including a face-off with the penguin from HAPPY FEET. Once he has proven himself, Leonidas not only becomes king, but also marries superhot (and slightly slutty) Margot (Carmen Electra). When Leonidas learns that Persia’s King Xerxes (Ken Davitian, BORAT) plans to make Sparta his own, he has his captain (Kevin Sorbo, HERCULES) recruit Sparta’s finest and prepare them for battle against invading Persian forces.

    I’ve seen it, and yes it’s bad, but it’s also entertaining. Play in in the background while you’re exercising or something.

    I feel very sorry for those people who haven’t seen the movie, but still yell that it’s “abysmal” or “really sucks”. These are the same people that would walk behind the little moustache-man in WW2 Germany, just because other people do. Please, get an opinion for yourself instead of mimicing like a parrot.

    FFS, it’s far from being a good spoof movie or a good comedy. But it’s also by far not that aweful some ppl say it is. It has a couple of good jokes which is more than most sitcoms have nowadays.

    well… recommended only if you want to see the most depressing “comedy” ever captured on film! i tried to enjoy it for like 45 minutes but then, i was close to vomiting when i only though about how sucky and time-wasty that movie is!

    I’ve seen it and after some good jokes in the beginning it became really a collection of predictable gags.

    But let me do the math: If it would be 25% funnier it would equal Scary Movie 4 with its running time of 83 minutes, means
    0.83-0.25=0.58, so a edited version should be 58 Minutes and you could laugh more…

    I am a teenager I do not know anyone who would think this film is good/funny. Not even the stupidest people would want to see this film, they would rather see Rambo IV or something like that.

    Trust me, nobody likes this film. I saw the lead actor being interviewed on a chat show here in the UK and he looked so ill at ease and embarrassed when they showed a clip of it. The look on the presenters face after the clip had been shown said it all really.

    ReeGee This movie genre actually goes back to the Airplane series in the 70’s. It’s not really my cup of “Earl Gray” either anymore and now comes across as silly. You may even say they are using the Benny Hill and Monty Python silly bits. Some people are amused by this still.

    This is slapstick like Benny Hill but it is amerikian slapstick which is different to english Benny Hill slapstick.
    Like all slapstick it’s an acquired taste and although I agree this isn’t a particularly good movie it’s not really the fault of the movies writers and producers that this is so. The problem really stems from the fact that this is a spoof of the 300 which has to be one of the worst movies ever made.
    How can you send up abysmal hammy acting except by making it even hammier. Sending up a script that already stinks worse than the socks in the corner of my room is nigh on impossible. The virtue of this movie is that at least the makers intended it to suck like a thousand dollar whore but the makers of the 300 thought they were making a “great movie” when they made an all day sucker.

    Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer are an embarrasment to the whole movie making industry. I’d rather work the streets than make movies like this, but I guess they make a fair share of money from them. Seriously, I have more respect for Steve-O and the Hooker down the street than for these two turds.

    I am terribly sorry for that WinRAR post.

    I always check the releases, but this was just too much of a coincidence: the release looked perfectly fine with nothing than install file (which also loaded fine as normal WinRAR install, but started the mess after a short period of time) and .reg file (which was harmless). I checked with PRE and it was normally listed there. The NFO look super genuine too and finally I downloaded it from a scene tracker. Someone took a lot of effort to achieve this…

    Anyway, it was deleted from RLSLOG, Rapidshare and NewTorrents as well.

    Once again, sorry if it caused you any troubles.

    I know what you mean!The Airplane series and Top Secret, Police Squad, the first Naked Gun etc. were funny for me when younger, the sight gags and cheap jokes seemed good, but now with all these Scary Movie and other lame types it’s just awful.

    Hard to describe why but maybe it’s because modern ones seems to try too hard to link a gag to some other movies and it seems so crude and forced. Airplane or Top Secret had just ridiculous gags that somehow still fitted the concept.

    if you don’t expect hardcore political comedy or jokes you have never heard before, then you can actually enjoy a great part of the movie. It is far from great comedy but some jokes are good and you can have a good time if you watch it with some friends.

    I happen to agree with #39 in a way. My God people there is no “right” answer when it comes to art (by art I just mean Movies, and not this film specifically). Who hasn’t used the term “to each his own” If your read this and suddenly find yourself thinking “to each his own..what does that mean…? Exactly my point. My question is who has so much free time they go into the comments of a movie they have either not seen yet or hated this much just to say it was the worst waste of their time ever. Ironic right, One more point #39 and similar comments are right there is a lot of humor most do’t get. For one– the warriors holding hands skipping etc etc. It pokes fun that in some cultures ages ago elite warriors knights and such saw themselves as above all others in society. So much so that they believed it beneath them to screw any others but other knights etc. To these “warriors” they felt the practice made them untarnished and therefor superier to all other tainted armies.So to other cultures looking in on this practice they immediately saw “homo’s” and because of this saw a weak army of pansies..and they believed it up till they and thier buddies got a Spartans spear in the rear ( so to speak). there3 are tons more example’s like this The point is its not only doo doo jokes
    But in doo doo’s defense– there are those like myself that never stop thinking about school work life in general.. and time to time it is nice to watch a movie you can just shut off the old brain and watch.

    Hey, guys and gals, this film was designed to be awful, god awful, so awful you contemplate slitting your wrists, or sticking sharp sticks in your eyes and ears to stop the much worse pain of seeing and hearing this movie, or deciding to clean your gun with the barrel pointing towards yourself, so on and so forth, etc., etc.

    If the above was truly the filmmakers goal in making this film, they have succedded briliantly and I salute them for achieving this achievment, and I wish them luck in their future endeavours in making films of this caliber.

    Bravo, fellows, bravo.

    I watched it… I was really frickin’ high when I did, but I watched it.

    I laughed at some parts… not so much others. Seriously; I did.

    i really liked it and i cant wait for the bluray version (which i hope really comes)

    it was pretty funny and sick, just the way i like it… maybe you guys got onto this movie with the wrong feelings? you have to THINK of it as a movie which is a bit crappy and “just” funny… maybe then you would like it like i do…
