@70 I must disagree. Here in the states there are many, many neighborhoods where the ENTIRE population is black and many of Tyler Perry’s movies are set in those neighborhoods. In fact, other than t.v. I never saw a white person in real life while I was growing up. It’s not an effort to show “Black Power” its a true life depiction of that neighborhood. If you think it isnt true, go to a predominately black area and see if you see anybody that looks like you and vice versa for that matter.

You must see with a truly narrow vision my friend, there are images on t.v and in the movies all the time that mock black youth, the way they dress and the way they speak. It is just so common place that it isnt noticed anymore.

People love to throw chris rock into racial conversations because he likes to play the race card a lot but we are talking about a comedian/director who NEVER uses the race card. They dont compare. You are just repeating old tired themes that didnt make sense the first time someone said it and makes even less sense now.

Those movies always take place in the United States, where roughly 15% of the population is black, so it’s a bit strange that nearly every character is black.

I’m not saying this in a racist tone, just that I think it’s ridiculous how these movies always need to show “black power” so bad that they cast for nearly every single character someone black.

Something else that’s funny is that in some movies (like Head of State with Chris Rock) it’s ok to mock white people, present them as the square people that don’t know how to live life, but if god forbid the opposite will happen in some movie, it will be all over the press that it’s a racist movie.
