Medieval II Total War Kingdoms Expansion-FLT

Everyone still waiting for that working Bioshock release eh? It will come… eventually, but in the meantime the nice people at FAiRLiGHT have cracked and released the official expansion pack to Medieval II Total War for us to have a play with. The original Medieval II Total War was a great game so i have high hopes and expectations for this add on. Simply called Kingdoms this expansion packs in a lot of new content, something you can tell by the massive file size (for an expansion pack at least) and the fact that it comes on two DVD5’s! The file size pushes the envelope for the amount i am willing to download even on a full game but this expansion really does offer a lot of new stuff including three brand new campaigns with thirteen new playable factions. It even boasts 75 hours of new gameplay something most expansion packs cant say. This seems like one of the few expansion packs the developers actually put some time and effort into, just like they did with the original game so i would say that if you haven’t tried a Total War game yet and your into strategy games this is as good time to get stuck in to one of the best RTS games ever made. If your a fan of the Total War series from British developers Creative Assembly then what are you waiting for you should be grabbing this right now! The publicity statement below written by SEGA’s ad agency will tell you the full details on all of the great new maps, weapons, features etc. Also if you are a bit wary to download this because you wasted 6 GB on that ill-fated Bioshock release then worry not because im almost certain that this will work and wont be nuked/propered! (don’t quote me on that though ;) ) As is usual with add on packs you will need get yourself the Original Medieval II Total War ISO to be able play this expansion pack! If you like the game please buy it!

Medieval II: Total War Kingdoms is the official expansion to last year’s award-winning Medieval II: Total War, presenting players with all-new territories to explore, troops to command, and enemies to conquer.

Kingdoms is the most content-rich expansion ever produced for a Total War game, with four new entire campaigns centered on expanded maps of the British Isles, Teutonic Northern Europe, the Middle East, and the Americas. In Medieval II, you were only given a tantalizing glimpse of South America, but in Kingdoms, vast tracts of land in both North and South America have been opened up for you to conquer. All-new factions from the New World are also now fully playable, including the Aztecs, Apaches, and Mayans.

Along with the new maps in the Britannia, Teutonic, Crusades, and New World Campaigns, there are 13 new factions to play, over 110 units to control, and 50 building types, adding up to 80 hours of new gameplay. Kingdoms also offers new multiplayer maps and hotseat multiplayer, a first for the Total War series, allowing you to play one-versus-one campaign games on the same computer.

Features:

  • Enormous Content

  • All-New Gameplay

  • New hero characters feature powerful battlefield abilities. Encounter a huge roster of new historical characters and events.
  • Build permanent forts to garrison troops or seize control of key strategic points.
  • New technology trees influenced by religion and prestige.
  • Take on all-new mission types.

Anybody else find this game… booring?

I don’t know… I tried to play the original game and I found it so damned boring.
Guess I’m more inclined to the action/RTS/RPG type games.

Yes thankyou the PC game release scene seems to be dead lately, so I was looking forward to this one…

Medieval2 still works well on my aging PC, so i will try this out…. Has anyone actually tried this release, and confirm it work? After nearly downloading 6.4Gb of Bioshock because i saw it mentioned on RLSLOG, only to later see it nuked…

I’m not wanting to waste what little of my 20Gb i have on crap.

Meanwhile thanks for news on this release and to Fairlight (FLT) I think… :)

    Stand alone expansion?

  9. NuZZ
    August 31st, 2007 | 02:56

Bioshock is just a random exception in game releases for a few years.
Mostly all game releases work because they are easily crack - Medieval is easy to crack - so your all good.

Bioshock… Unfortunately not too easily cracked.

    August 31st, 2007 | 05:23

    i have 2 questions plz:

    1. is that a stand alone game or will i need the original?
    2. is that an RTS game like Command and Conquer or is that a turn based game?

  13. MD2Fan
    August 31st, 2007 | 05:32

    1. I do believe the original is needed but not 100% sure
    2. It is turn base on the campaign map but the battle itself is real time.

@1 : I find any game boring these day include ur type :) .
But still I rate this game a 8.5/10 if u have a good computer and graphic card to run lolz …. unless u want to see some midget size graphic haha .
Bet ya never play the older game that they had haha . Those were good … for the old time . Just wish they revamp the old Shogun title or somebody need to finish their mod >

One of the best games I have played.. EVER!
It really has everything I am looking for in a game.

Agree, Rome Total War was probably better, but this is a great game too. Will buy this one as I bought the original a long time ago. Look out for the new total war game too, it is set in the sea. Proper Naval battles, something which was missing from the previous games.

    September 1st, 2007 | 06:52

You can’t use the new factions in the main campaign, which is a big let down for me. I like the “take over the world” campaign, these limited ones just don’t do it for me.

@ES : Do u play Risk ??? Do u play Rise of Nation ??? Do u play Rise of Legend ??? Do u play Age of Wonder ??? Knight of Honor (now this one is more like Total War, probably on par but it lack something :) ) ???
If u do, then u know what is turn base on the campaign map mean :) .
Or plz, look up the screenshot :D . That’s aint hard is it from gamespot ? o_O .

Games that come in bin and cue I never burn to disc. I just use ISO Buster and extract the contents of all the bin files if more than one to my HD. Then click on the setup file. Then apply any crack as needed. No disc is needed this way. I would imagine this works for ISOs as well

    Greco/Signus

You can also use Daemon Tools to mount the disks in a virtual drive.

If mounting/burning the .bin does not work for you, you will have to use the .cue instead. I had to, kept giving me an error every time I tried it. (Had to use the wildcard ‘*’ to get it to show up in Daemon tools, but it might be just because I have an OLD version of it.)

P.S. If you don’t know what Daemon Tools or ISO Buster is, please don’t ask us, ask Google or Yahoo, they are nicer ^_^

guys, im a nub at this. I mounted the ISO onto dameon tools and installed the thing, but whenever I tried playing it it said “please insert Kingdoms CD/DVD” (aka, it doesn’t detect it)

Anyone know the problem? I followed all of the instructions, cept it said at the end “copy and paste our crack from DVD2 into game dir and play” though the only thing in the DVD2 folder is the instructions and the ISO files.

Ive downloaded it and installed it and although Securom was giving me problems I got around it. The patch 1.03 is bugged and wouldnt install, 1.02 had no problems though.
Campaign works only it crashes everytime I go into a battle. Both via the campaign as a quick battle and it happens with each of the four campaigns. Could be that it is caused due to not upgrading Medieval II itself. A shame I was looking forward to it.

NOTE: If you get the error with Securom when you mounted it in Daemon Tools, do the following: Open My Computer –> right-click on your disc drive containing Kingdoms –> click on Open. Inside, do not click on Launcher or Autorun but on Setup and it will work.

Got everything installed but can’t get by securom. Have the latest version of Daemon tools.

“NOTE: If you get the error with Securom when you mounted it in Daemon Tools, do the following: Open My Computer –> right-click on your disc drive containing Kingdoms –> click on Open. Inside, do not click on Launcher or Autorun but on Setup and it will work.”

But ti didn’t work. Any other advice on how to get by securom?

Btw the way i got the flt to work for me was to hjsplit join the two DVDs then when the joining is done. right click on the new “file” and say open, then open the file with winzip. (that compressor thing). in the new winzip window it should say flt-01(or 2).ISO

  51. RepublicofClones
    September 6th, 2007 | 22:25

well they way i got past securom was by mounting the game iso on daemon tools and applying a nocd crack from GameBurnWorld

their cracks always seem to work for me.

  52. JonathanB
    September 7th, 2007 | 00:51

Thx RepublicofClones. Just one more question(i’ma bit of a noob.

Where do I put the crack?

  53. RepublicofClones
    September 7th, 2007 | 04:44

to crack a game you must copy the crack provided (from gameburnworld) to the installation directory under your program files. should be like this: go to My computer, then C drive, goto program files and go under SEGA. there should be a Medieval 2 total war kingdoms folder in it (or in the vanilla medieval2totalwar folder, not sure yet i havent finished torrenting it yet) when you first open the folder, simply paste the crack in and say yes to overwriting the files(hint backup the originals!)once done with that then your set!

  54. RepublicofClones
    September 7th, 2007 | 04:51

Sadly though even I do not know everything…Does Kingdoms require a CD Key? if so then I’m screwed. (unless that 1111-1111-1111-1111 [hint hint i say it somewhere and tried it - it works though i sort of forgot if the aforeposted is what i used. XD ]CD Key for vanilla M2TW still works for kingdoms)

  55. Black Night
    September 7th, 2007 | 19:32

    Two questions… :
1.Do I REALLY need the original bought cd of Medieval 2 total war to have Kingdoms work? or I can install it over my cracked instal?
2.The patch I found on the previous page, when should I install it? after the kingdoms or before s I can use it without?

    Please answer….
    thx

  56. RepublicofClones
    September 7th, 2007 | 22:28

    1) If you have the Vanilla M2TW installed then kingdoms will install fine. if u dont have it installed then install it (>.>) kingdoms requires the original M2TW for installation.

2)duno, since its for Vanilla M2TW then why wait for kingdoms? (btw i think you should install it before, just in case. ;) )

  57. Victor
    September 8th, 2007 | 12:45

I get the ‘Kingdoms requires Medieval II: Total War to be installed’ error message everytime i run the installer.

    Any opinions?

    Installed Medieval II vanilla already.

  58. Black Night
    September 8th, 2007 | 13:14

Well I don’t have vanilla… any torrents available?

  59. Dude
    September 8th, 2007 | 23:39

    TO SOLVE SECUROM ERRORS

Don’t use autorun, instead ‘explore’ the DVD you mounted with daemon tools/burned and run ’setup.exe’. Setup should then proceed fine. This worked for me, hope it works for you.

P.S. I also got a crack from gamecopyworld to run the game once I’d successfully installed it…

    good luck! :D

So I should install this on the game on my PC? 13GB wow…. I need confirmation before I take this please…

  62. RepublicofClones
    September 10th, 2007 | 22:34

Confirmation? Yes, torrenting and installing vanilla M2TW does come to around 14 GB. kingdoms is around 3.5 GB for its installation, give or take a GB or 2 if u dont install certain parts of it (Kingdoms is really just 4 campaigns that u install seperately. Strange eh?) most computers today should be able to handle that amount and then some.

  63. Black Night
    September 11th, 2007 | 09:27

  65. RepublicofClones
    September 15th, 2007 | 02:05

Downloaded which torrent? the FLT one or the Reloaded one? neither have cracks in the torrents. you have to goto http://www.gameburnworld.com for the crack. (their cracks are by version so update the game and crack!) i dont know how to make the FLT one work but with the reloaded u just need to mount the iso on Daemon Tools. (just google daemon tools - its free)

  66. RepublicofClones
    September 15th, 2007 | 02:08

Lol sry…got reloaded (the vanilla M2TW) mixed up with the Kingdoms substitute that i posted earlier. ;P anyhow ya just mount the iso on daemon tools and install - bewarned, m2tw and kingdoms along with the torrents will suck up a bunch of disk space.

  69. RepublicofClones
    September 20th, 2007 | 01:43

anyhow a repeat of how to install nocd crack: download and save (or open if u want) the nocd and unzip em to somewhere ull remember easily. then go inside the new folder and copy all the files to the installation directory aka
My Computer -> C Drive -> program files -> SEGA -> Medieval 2 total war, and paste. to get the kingdoms nocd to work just place the crack in the same directory (do like u did with vanilla. the exe for kingdoms is next to vanilla exe basically.)

vanilla is required for installing kingdoms. if it says to uninstall it then A: u accidentaly clicked “uninstall” B: Maybe it sensed that you were missing something and wanted a reinstall(voice.1?) or C: you computer is taking too much crack and should stop ;P

Sorry bub I dont have Yahoo Messenger (btw my problems with this site are over so yay!)

Well my guess for the problem is somehow while torrenting the files got corrupted and you might have to retorrent the files. Cause I have a torrented copy of Company of Heroes and the same thing is happening to me (it worked before on my old comp but now it is corrupted me thinks)

I’m having abominable crashes… Every five minute on average.
Anyone else experiencing this? I have my suspicions that it may be my card, x700, (a little old, and worn from years of loyal service) on the other hand everthing else seems to be fine and I’m deeply suspicious that the game is still buggy, even after patching etc.
    Anybody else having similar problems?

M2TW Kingdoms nocd crack not working and i cant play Grand Kingdoms campaign, but i can play “Grand Campaign with Kingdoms features” simple just update ur m2tw to version 1.3 and install Retrofit mod.

    September 25th, 2007 | 22:26

Umm there isnt a “Grand Kingdoms” Campaign - if you mean like the original Grand Campaign in M2TW. Kingdoms is 4 seperate campaigns (and installs). If you want to play Grand Campaign then do like Serbia said and install patch 1.3 and the Retrofit mod that is available on that popup for original M2TW.

I don’t know why the NOCD crack for Kingdoms isn’t working. The GameBurnWorld NOCD cracks are version specific. Maybe you patched and forgot to download and “install” the corresponding crack. Cause say u are v1.2 and have the v1.2 crack, you then patch to 1.3 but still have crack v1.2, the game wont work. you would have to download the correct version (v1.3 in the example) and copy the crack files to the appropriate place (installation directory) for the game to work again.

I need a crack. Can anyone give me a reliable site or crack, everything I have found sucks.

To Sebba: I don’t know what wrong. You didn’t say besides that you have troubles. If it is a crack that works then I’m sorry but the only site that has cracks that work FOR ME is Gameburnworld. Try Google or something.
To ZX12: That original M2TW RELOADED is the baseline M2TW and the only other alt might be another type of M2TW torrent.
To Beefman: Same as above. Try Google or surfing comments on other sites with a M2TW torrent.

If I have the original retail version of Medieval Total War II without any of the upgrade patches installed, will this Expansion pack make unnecessary those upgrade patches?
If I buy kingdoms expansion and install will I have the TOTAL latest version with all the bugs fixed Medieval II Whoop Ass Game?

I have got MTW2:Kingdoms and now I am only able to play MTW2:Kingdoms and am unable to play th original MTW2. Shoud I re-install? Does having the expansion pack change the game at all on MTW2?

Its been a bit since i’ve replyed so:
Lord Orpheus-for starts u NEED to install the 1.3 patch for Kingdoms to be installed (Otherwise I believe Kingdoms will install v1.3 for you, i dont know if it does that though).
James-If you mean unplayable as in the Grand Campaign(GC), then yes Kingdoms DOESN’T have the GC. You have to install the retrofit mod issued by SEGA to play the GC with Kingdom features.

thanks all you guys out there… after reading all the comments i finally installed and play MTW2 kingdom… you rock… this is what i did: (it works for me anyway)
    - install MTW2
    - install patch v1.2 (found in the kingdom dvd)
    - install patch v1.3 (found in the kingdom dvd)
    - install the 4 campaign one-by-one (this is optional)
    - copy paste the kingdom crack on the correct folder .
    - you can now play the 4 campaign in their individual icons
(if you want to play the original Grand campaign MTW2)
    - copy paste the crack icon patch v1.3 in the same correct folder. (crack v1.3 can be found elsewhere in the net)
    - you can now play the MTW2 v1.03 grand campaign

Note: dont forget to prepare coffee while installing. it takes 48 years to install.

pls comment if i missed a thing.

    supercedes: #94
    - its also recommended to unistall the MTW2 v1.0 if you install v1.2, evenually v1.3. then erase the SEGA folder on your program file. Warning: all save games will be erased. this will erase all traces of MTW2 in your registry. - this is only optional if the first attempt fails.

    good luck…
