Interesting option for legal attack against MediaDefender from one of their e-mails:

“the best argument against miivi is one for invasion of privacy and trespass to chattels (doing stuff intentionally to another’s property). that would be based on the rumor that we scanner people’s harddrives. ”

however they say:

“entrapment isn’t possible, as we’re not a law enforcement agency or working as agents for a law enforcement agency.”

I would be curious to know if that is true. Creating fakes that cause hits in a search are only going to indicate that real child pornography could be out there to those who search for the first time. If you google it and get a load of hits then you will be back to surf more with the idea that it is possible to obtain such garbage.

Not right if you ask me. I say eliminate the capability of using the words together in a search string, dont tease the borderline sick into becoming pedophiles.

MediaDefender is not shutting down child porn, it is GOVERNMENT.

If MD goes away, then the government can hire a more competent company to handle child porn.
