looks nice, just hope its not as system hogging like the previous Mcafee antivirus i used.
NOD32 FTW.
NOD32 > *
Rofl, free if you have comcast
Why anyone bothers with software like this when you can get free anti virus software that hasn’t been cracked or tampered with, is beyond me.
1 question, vista 64 or not?
nod 32 mothafckers!
McfBloatware is a piece of thrash , proably worse than Norton. It’s a huge ressources hog and very intrusive. It needs to die
NOD32 FTW !!!!!!!!!
One question for you nod32 freaks: is there a version that can be activated with keygen, cause i don’t trust cracked ones. don’t like to make updates with cracked files.
kaspersky ftw
I’ll wait for the aXXo release.
tommi: I just installed NOD cause I got tired of the silly false positives AVG free was giving me and it works excellently — uses the trial account servers, but instead of lasting 30 days, it lasts for 40,000 years and it has the functionality of the full program.
The version I`m talking about is at newtorrents.info, just search for ‘nod32′.
Kaspersky FTW!!!
Can’t wait for Norton Internet Security 2008. Damn Symantec wants $55 to upgrade from my retail 2007 version. What a rip off.
@tommi
You are just as likely to be infected with a keygen. TBH anyone who uses cracked/pirated security software is a huge fucking RETARD.
Kaspersky ftw tbh
norton internet security 2005 still running smoothly , why bother with anything else !
lavasoft ad-aware 2007 and kaspersky FTW!!!!!!1
USE MCAFEE 8.5I ENTERPRIZE LOL ITS THE BEST VERY LIGHT AND STOPS MOST THINGS…….. LOL
FUCK NORTON AND NOD32 AND KAPERSKY!!!!!!!
MCAFEE 8.5I ENTERPRIZE EDITION FTW!!!!!!!!!!!!!
stop fucking with the capslock arse!
and offcourse NOD32 ftw :-p

Independent Antivirus Lab Testing by VB100 and ICSA and the winnders were…
1. Symantec Corp. – 97% of Viruses Stopped
2. Eset Software – 93% of Viruses Stopped
3. Trend Micro – 92% of Viruses Stopped
4. Panda / Sophos – 83% of Viruses Stopped
6. Network Associates – 69% of Viruses Stopped
That list just proove that nod32 is the best, as Symatec software may stop the most, but it also the worst software out there with just to much problems.
you nobs dont know what ur talking about.installed kaspersky on 5 pc’s and not a fucking problem..nice one scotty b
NOD32 BITCHES!!!!
nod32 is all you need, it is the least process hungry anti virus program out. No BS, simple yet powerful ];p
@15
“You are just as likely to be infected with a keygen. TBH anyone who uses cracked/pirated security software is a huge fucking RETARD.”
i agree with you
i always would download security appz as original trial versions and try to unlock them.
just don’t want to use a crack cause this can easily be recognized as a pirated version.
when using a valid key from a keygen there should be no difference to the legal version.
i use AVG but it sucks. when scanning my old downloads AVG claimed to have found trojans in two year old keygens and will not let me execute them any more.
i guess they work together with software industry cause AVG often finds trojans in patch engines/keygens that are clean.
you nobs dont know what ur talking about.installed kaspersky on 5 pc’s and not a fucking problem..nice one scotty b
No ones saying you will have any problems installing it ya retard, People just saying the software itself is fooking shite and a bit bloated and as everyone has already suggested nod32 is by far more superior and alot less resource hungry, try it for yourself and you will see why it has such a good reputation
if you take the time to learn assembly language then you can run the keygens/cracks through olly an see exactly what there up too, also process moniter and reg moniter are good too see if anything dodgys happening when you run keygens/cracks
proper nfo image, feel free to use the link
http://img107.imageshack.us/img107/6038/addictionun8.gif
oh yeah and NOD32 for me too
NOD32 all the way for me !!!!
to all NOD users try instaling the AVIRA classic that is free and see how many virus and trojan you all have yours PC…
anti-virus = anti-noob. that’s all
Who cares what anti-virus software is the best? You are a retard if you let any virusses get to your computer in the first place!
I’ve been downloading shit for years now, and the only time I got a trojan/virus is 2 years ago, when I downloaded a keygen for a FREAKIN’ virusscanner. Unlike most of you dimwits I learned from my mistake, and only download stuff that is clean. How do I know? Because I use reliable torrent-sites and wait for the first comments to show up. Yes, I still use a virus-scanner and add/mallware scanners every week. I like to be sure, but I’ve never had any virusses. And no, my scanners don’t miss them!
When using the internet, use your brains for once. You won’t need ‘the best’ virusscanner.
Comment 32 summarizes my rant nicely!
@33
OMFG, how can you possibly know that your virus-scanner doesn’t miss virusses?!?
This is pretty cool. I gave this program to my friends
#11 LOLz!
#9 NOD32 has no crack… the nsane FiX just makes it behave like the trial version to get updates without it needing usernames and passwords. So the fix is just a registry entry that does all that… don’t be quick to judge some crackers, because the might know 100 times more about PCs than you!
BTW there’s no keygen for NOD32!
Because of how the ID’s are made… they’re like the users and passes for accessing porn sites… so if you know about that you might figure out that keygens can’t be made for this licensing system!
Google for: nsaneproduction
7+8 = 15
Use NOD32 kids!
@37 thx for the nod32 info
you said “… don’t be quick to judge some crackers, because the might know 100 times more about PCs than you!”
of course they know a lot more than i do. all i said is that i don’t want to use cracked soft that goes online. lately i tried some web-promoter software and when performing updates i was greeted with the statement “You are using illegal license” and “Your ip was logged”. Glad i am not american, so it will be hard to get me

That list just proove that nod32 is the best, as Symatec software may stop the most, but it also the worst software out there with just to much problems.”
NAV and NIS 2005 run smooth admitted 2006 and 2007, personally I hate but how can you say that Symantec stop the most but NOD32 is the best? Surely for antone that wanted AV software you would want the one that offers the best protection. But that again I agree with the later comment that Anti Virus = Anti Noob.
I still sweep with Adaware Pro and Hijack this regardless of what ANT AV program tells me but for those that want better protection then the AV100 tests show Symantec is the best. For those that dont want the hassle of Symantec the go ahead and use Eset.
In tests for 2007 products its suprising to see the results:
Norton AV 2007
Malware detection rate: 96%
• Proactive detection: 49%
• System slowdown: 10%
• Ease of use: Superior
• False-positive detections: 3
This effective but expensive program has solid malware detection and the fastest outbreak-response time among currently tested competitors. (Last Rated: April 23, 2007)
ESET NOD32
Malware detection rate: 90%
• Proactive detection: 79%
• System slowdown: 5%
• Ease of use: Very Good
Taken from http://www.pcworld.com/article/id,130869/article.html
• False-positive detections: 6
NOD32 has the best proactive protection by far, but its overall malware detection is second-tier, and it has an overly technical interface. (Last Rated: April 23, 2007)
AVG people. It is fast, lean and free. Why the hell is everyone on the NOD32 bandwagon? What is so great about that program and how is it better than AVG with facts and not just because you say it is?
Went to the PC World article and says AVG only uses 2% system verse NoD32 5%..HAHA!!!!! Who cares about detection rates interface blah blah becuase if you know what you are doing like QuadrupelQ said you don’t really even need one. I just keep AVG for backup insurance and knowing its the FASTEST out there!!! you people in the know keep your slow ass nod32 mWWWAAHHAHA
god damn retards, just download good releases and stop messing with cracks from 5th party cyberlolz sites with 4 banners to press and then use the 5th word on the 7th banner as the password for the rar archive which has the infected keygen.
@41
since when is the fastest AV the best?
@ Maggie Thatcher…
“This effective but expensive program has solid malware detection and the fastest outbreak-response time among currently tested competitors. (Last Rated: April 23, 2007)
”
BULL-SHIT. Norton releases updates once every 50 years… the only time they release a “lot” of updates very quickly is right before these tests are due to take place (yes, they are ALL pre announced to the AV company)
I thought AVAST was supposed to be the best… ??
pls i reallyy need help pls help me about 7 to 8 months ago i lost my familyies picture like my father pictures my father he died recently 3 moths ago i would like to have those picture back .How i m going to have these picture??
pls if u can help me.
i forget to tell that i have formetted my pc during this 7 to 8 month i have used vista ..ultimate vista..then again i brought windows xp so i have formetted my pc lots of time …but its importent to recover those picture for me.
@ Bob… “BULL-SHIT. Norton releases updates once every 50 years… the only time they release a “lot” of updates very quickly is right before these tests are due to take place (yes, they are ALL pre announced to the AV company)”
lmao at your comments, something I would expect the avid anti symantec to say. If you notice I dont endorse any product, only provided factual information on the leading contenders. If you also note the comment wasnt mine but taken from an article and finally, AV100 DO NOT “announce” but in fact test on a regular basis which would mean that updates would have to be implemented on a regular basis.
FACT: On a one year basis all were logged by AV100 and results as follows:
Product Number of Updates
Symantec 757
Kaspersky 573
Dr. Web 332
Panda (BETA) 244
Trend Micro (BETA) 174
McAfee (BETA) 113
Sophos 83
eTrust (VET, BETA) 63
Bitdefender 54
Quickheal 53
ClamAV 48
F-Secure (BETA) 45
AntiVir 43
F-Secure 43
Panda 39
Hauri 38
eTrust (CA, BETA) 37
Virusbuster 36
Ikarus 34
Symantec (Intelligent Updates) 34
Cybersoft 33
Trend Micro 30
eTrust (CA) 29
F-Prot 23
Fortinet 22
eTrust (VET) 19
Avast 17
AVG 17
Command 17
Nod32 # 17
Norman 15
RAV 8
McAfee 7
eSafe 6
Symantec (LiveUpdates) # 6
Proland 5
a simple search would tell you the amount of updates released by any AV program in a year so please, Im trying to be impartial and provide accurate information to the masses and NOT Bobshit…. oops Bullshit.
For those of ya’ll that are interested this is fully compatible with vista 64 … nice 1!
Mcafee = Mcapoop
Whoever said it’s better than NOD32 all I can do is LOL at you.
It doesn’t really matter though virus scanners don’t really do anything at all. Only people who actually get viruses are super nubs.
this is not McAfee 2008! it’s a 2007!! BS
@GuRu
you can try a file recovery software that searches your harddisk for old files that have not yet been overwritten.
a format will not destroy your data, but your pictures might get overwritten by other data. 8 month is a long time
This is 2007 version just another shit spoken by moron come on man stop lying to people if u have courage then upload 2008 version i will upload it and tell here in this forum
byeeee
Use a free one and be smart about your downloading. You’ll remain virus free whatever you use.
Amino
PS…I use AVG
that list is total bs
NOD32 gets sometimes 2 or 3 a day, every day
http://www.eset.com/support/updates.php
# Q
That list was issued by AV100 (look them up, they are not your run of the mill bs artists but a professional organisation) so please Eset will tell you anything so will any company that sells AV software. If you dont want to trust the facts from independant testing, thats fine thats your choice but please dont show me facts from the creators of the software, that will always be biased as will a lot of comments on here. My comments however are from legitimate independant sources of which I have quoted so before you look stupid again in front of me READ what is said.
@maggie thatcher sorry baby… NOD32 updates at least 3 times a week * 52 = 156+ updates ayear… that’s odd since your accurate information mentions only 17 updates… so I call BS you your facts! Any my source is not another man’s computer but mine! I check NOD32 a few times a week for the last update time it logged… so don’t give me the same BS “they are not your run of the mill bs artists but a professional organisation” that you gave Q!
@GuRu, your pics are probably lost! Sorry buddy…
If you repartitioned the HDD there’s not much you can do… if you just formatted a partition then use Runtime’s GetDataBack. It’s the best piece of software for recovering lost files.
Like I said, you might find traces of those files but they will probably be incomplete (overwritten by newer data).
Next time move your My Documents to a secondary partition that you don’t need to format when (re)installing Windows.
Right click on the My Documents on the Desktop / Start Menu and set it to D:\My Documents if you have that second partition and it has the letter D (similar action for other letters) and it will copy everything from the old location to the new one by itself.
Of the 56 post so far only 2-3 are usefull. If you want symantec or mcaffe, just use the corporate editions. if you want NOD32, use it. If you like AVG, so be it. Now stfu.
I agree with pitu
everyone has an AV program they prefer over any other and all comments are more than useful to at least one person. The fact I gave were NOT MY OWN but independant lab tests as was quoted if you look instead of just reading into what you want to.
EMM… dont take it personally, dam assoles that do need to take a chill pill and READ. Check google or create an account with AV100 etc who do independant testing. Im not condeming or praising any AV software because I dont run any, im just saying that before any one person tells people that this is good and that is crap, they should have all the information at hand and not just from some user that swears blind that the product they use is the best and that on “my computer I get xxx amount of updates”… who cares your individual computer is not somebody elses nor is your surfing habits etc. Every user and computer is unique and in that they will find the best AV program that suits their needs.
Also a big fan of NOD32. McAfee screwed my pc last time i used it. Could not uninstall the damn thing so i had to reinstall windows.
Just get NOD32 and you see the different.
ps. NOD32 updates the definition all the time , sometimes a couple a times a day so to people saying otherwise they have not used the program !

thx a lot for that comparison charts!
IMO there’s no one better than KAV, its simply the best!
i use symantec @ work the corporation one and never get anything.
and use nod @ home
but if you ask me for one AV program, i’ll said that KAV is the best!

Ok maggie, I understan what you want to tell ppl… but look here: you tell them to search for info given by pros and you made a statement by comparing the amount of updates each AV gets a year, from that source. Q and I pointed out that even if the source is made by “professional” it isn’t acurate… and in this case is tottaly wrong… in doing this it puts NO32, an AV product that I recomment, in a bad light (or how that word goues… my native language isn’t English, sorry).
Ppl do these statements because it’s the only REAL fact… THEIR EXPERIENCES!
I can tell you that a friend of mine had KAV at his workplace, working 8 h a day, and his PC got infected… I can tell you that another friend of mine got infected by a YM! worm with NOD32 even though I had (and still have) the same NOD32 and mine caught it. I’ve used Norton in the past and after a few script worms that trashed NAV and the system I said “what a shitty AV… and I’ve been using it for so many years!”. I tried BD 6 in the past and after a simple DB update it displayed 0 known viruses. God knows what happened but that would mean that it couldn’t recognize any threat at all!
These all are just experiences that the AV tests made by your professionals don’t cover! So even if you teach ppl to look for all the information and have it at hand before stating something it might not be enough.
At maggie… Your sources suck big time and they are probably paid to tell you that. NOD32 updates at least once a day. I can’t even begin to imagine how they got to that number… In fact looking at Avast and AVG scores all i can see is utter bullshit. Both those AV update everyday…
rapid share link?
Mcafee is better to protect your computer but uses lots of RAM. It also needs subscription, it pop-ups always for renewal of subscription. But no one uploads Mcafee 2008 enterprise version
is this the cracked version? do i still need to renew it every three months?
Mcafee Total Protection (that I use) is an excellent program. I really see that every security suite has recourse problems, detection issues with certain viruses. Mcafee has decent (not amazing) heuristics but weak repair skills and scans slowly, but it’s a much lighter program than most. Norton has simply the best heuristics and detection rates along with Kaspersky in the 99% range, but both Norton and Kaspersky take an unforgivable toll on the system. OneCare has very poor heuristics but is the lightest on the system that I’ve ever used and is well integrated with the windows system (duh). NOD32 lacks a firewall and ID theft protection etc that other suites have. It has virus detection rates in the 98-99% range like Norton, but is lighter on the system, but lacks minimal spyware protection, falling in the 60%, all the programs I mentioned except NOD32 ranged in the 80% range for spyware. It isn’t a question of “what is the best suite/solution” it’s more like “what set of pros and cons are you willing to accept.”

Also a big fan of NOD32. McAfee screwed my pc last time i used it. Could not uninstall the damn thing so i had to reinstall windows.”
You did something wrong. *No* program should simply screw up your PC to that point unless you failed to read a warning, already had a virus, or just boobed something up. I’m a beta tester for Mcafee and Symantec, never had my PC crash from one, I’ve had the program not work, but not my computer. Mcafee and Symantec both have handy dandy removal tools to get their products off your PC, you should have started in safe mode and ran those first.
Okay, sorry, after reading all the Nod32 comments, I have to say this. BET YOU WISH YOU HAD A FIREWALL HUH?!
^5 Link48010 you said it! this isn’t just antivirus it’s av, firewall, email, etc. security. my favorite features are the ability to configure independent connections on my local area network and site advisor.
i usually dont run into many trojan sites, but even being smart and safe it will still happen every now and then. mcafee’s site advisor really helps in google searches as it puts a nice little check mark; green, yellow or red if its been tested.
the part i don’t understand is the resource hog stuff. what? lol, are you people still running mommy and daddy’s compaq 386 from 1997? maybe it’s time to upgrade that 512mb of memory or.. “but i have a brand new computer!” okay, maybe *cough* vista is your resource hog. stop playing Crysis while you’re running virusscan?
i know i used mcafee suite 2006 before this with no problems. i didnt care for the 2007 security whatever package they had going. maybe their standalone av is crap or other versions are hit and miss, but this one is good.
i’ve even tried kapersky and nod32. no complaints really, i just like this bundle better than kapersky’s (and nod32’s lack there of).
