posterHere’s PreVail with the very first version for MAX Payne. I think a lot of people were waiting for this movie, well here it is. It’s a CAM , so don’t expect superb quality. I”ll wait for an R5, but for those who already want to see it, here it is. Video sample included.

Plot: Coming together to solve a series of murders in New York City are a DEA agent (Wahlberg) whose family was slain as part of a conspiracy and an assassin (Kunis) out to avenge her sister’s death. The duo will be hunted by the police, the mob, and a ruthless corporation.

    I heard from a friend that he heard on the radio that this movie is for 15 year olds.. they pretty much fubared this classic game into a movie for little kids.

    Such a great potential and nice selection for the main role, but PG13!? Game is not for kids so lets make a movie for them. Guess we have to wait for MP3 to get some entertainment for us adults.

    Although there regarded as the worst films ever I thought Bloodrayne was a good film and Alone in the Dark was OK.

    Mortal Kombat was good

    Slient Hill was OK.

    I think evey other video game movie was pretty bad like the Resident Evil films, Hitman, etc.

    The reviews for this movie are the worst i’ve ever heard for a video game based movie. They say the plot is thin, the characters are all stereotyped and wooden and that the action scenes are over done. It’s basically like one long 90 minute cut scene from the game. They said the same about Hitman the movie though and i liked that so it’s worth a shot anyway.

    How can somebody choose Wahlberg for the main role???? He is good for “smug characters” or something like that, but Payne is such a dark character and they choose sonny boy Mark.

    One more great video game with a ridiculous movie adaption. You don’t need a a Boll for that, it seems …

    too bad, they ruined the movie, first hour is total waste of time, real actions begin after that, which is 20-25 mins, that is not the max payne i’v played . go see “taken” instead.

    I thought resident evil 1 movie was pretty good considering it based on a game, the others failed though but the ending of resident evil 2 was badass.

    I saw it in cinema and i think you should wait for better versions - and i also think in the line of game-based movies it has a place among top 5 ! A good sound is needed too and play it loud if u can :) Ty for your time ! Child

    the flick is much worst than the game. Do your self a favour and play the game instead of spending time on the movie. However, IMHO the movie is still watchable.

    i suspect the storyline for Max Payne is a lot more exciting when it’s happening in the form of a video game… except for those few exciting parts that i already saw in the preview, it was a snoozefest

    I saw this in the theater last night. It’s nothing more than ok. I’ve been a Max Payne fan since the game came out in 2001 and have been waiting for the movie ever since they sold the rights either in 2001 or 2002. For me, after such a long wait I was disappointed to see such a boring movie. They completely butchered up the characters, storyline, and plot. Trust me, this movie is so confusing even IF you played the game until the end like me, you’ll still be scratching your head at the end. They even messed up little details like the damn drug! In the game, it’s green, here it’s blue. If you played the game, go see this movie, if you haven’t played the game or even heard of it, this isn’t for you.
