maVen was a good friend of mine. Most of what he did brought a smile to his face when he would tell us about it. He really was a charismatic being, with his heart on his sleeve.

Unfortunately, he just died last sunday of a morphine overdose after his jail stay.

Look I feel for maVens woes . But lets face it he had a chance to make a stand . A statement if you will for the torrent comunity . why run . get a lawyer and fight make a political call for change take this all the way to the supreme court to have our rights protected . Yes protected . we will lose our privacy if other countrys like the US can hand over IPs to the rcmp alowing them to identify us through loop holes in the laws here in Canada that protect our IPs for the most part . I’m sorry MaVen but your charges were a joke compared to what people can get now. He’s no hero folks , he could have been if he had,nt run . But now the new laws are set and little to no chance exsits to repeal them . Next time what rights to privacy will we lose . Will we become more like the home of the brave and land of the free . We need people to stand up and say no we will not be like our friends to the south . where it has become the home of the brave land of the watched . MaVen please stop running !!!!!! Find a good lawyer and make as big a stink about civil privacy and the such that you can . Yes you will most likely still be fined and maybe even lose . But man if you read these comments from your supporters you can tell that to some of them your a hero . You and I know the truth about that though. Show these people that you can be one . make a stand for us . For all of us here in the great white north

I’m glad they’re catching these guys. I mean all the police should be going after people that actually steal company releases and not those that download them. They started it, we just enjoyed We’ve done no harm. I do say long live piracy since they’ll always be those ripping it for fellows like us and being on the run eventually. Amazing news no less.

you guys have to realize that most likely his sentence will be more than 6 months and the fine will be more than 25000. police say these things to calm the fugitive down so he can turn himself in! does nobody understand the law by now? i would say a 250,000 fine maybe more and 6-8 years in prison!! run for your life maVen!! and if you did make alot of money, use it to change your identity bro. or your second choice find yourself an expensive good lawyer cheers and good luck..even tho i never downloaded your stuff
