Hai, another Mass Effect update this time group ViTALiTY. Cant say much, except this one is probably properly cracked :) Read our previous two posts for more infos

    @205 played for 18 hours or more not a single crash here… legit and using crack to test out stuff.. Most of the bugs are game related rather than fix/crack related..

    i just beat the game with reloaded image and vit crack, everything works prefect except the PO issue. i guess its a game bug instead of cracks related. have fun with the vit crack guys!

    My experience: (using reloaded image)
    The Vitality crack works, the game also runs smoother.
    Overheat-”bug” is still there though.

    But Except for performance gniarf and vitality works the same.

    Jay79: this game runs fine on my 2-year-old LAPTOP. If your rig doesn’t completely suck, investigate driver updates.

    use the vitality crack. They do not do emu cracks. It will run faster and use less ram then any of the cracks and the filesize will be much smaller.

    I don’t feel like explaining the process behind it. Maybe someone else could take the time you educate you people but suffice to say. This .exe will be an improvement in performance over what the bioware people(legit) play. A significant one.

    ya…i using the ind-fix-me crack now….play almos 4 hour…..no a single crash..and no freezing…every thing max…btw the shadown in the game look really suck -_-..

    Tried vitality crack and the performance on my rig is completely same as with the ind crack.

    Yes well hopefully the ppl are bioware will release a patch soon to fix the game lag issues. I have a 2.8 GHZ cpu and a 7800 gs oc vidcard with 2 gigs ram and I know the game will lag on full, but the game lags alot still on the lowest features. I put setting in the configuration menu on low and I still get herky jerky start and stops.. most of it I think is from the antivirus, I had nod32 installed before and it sucked the fps into hell. I switched to kaspersky 8.0.0.357 and got more framerate, and I was also using IND crack.

    @vliterosin, my setup is 2 gig ram, p4 3ghz and a 7600gs and i have mine set on ultra high with no issues at all, no lag at all and its not overclocked.

    for whoever got a 8800 card use the 169 nvida driver much less ram failures, gfx glitches and crashes. i switched to the 175 driver and all hell broke loss every 5 min crash lol. so stick to the 169, i played for 10 hours straight without any problems with that.

    For those who have bought this game and are complaining about crashes and such, serves you right!!! Don’t support publishers/developers who release buggy games! Simply download and wait for a working crack. If any decent updates come along that make the game playable, THEN buy the game.

    I recently purchased The Witcher, but only after the 1.3 patch which made the game stable. Got it for 20 euros (means I saved 25), and it works like a charm! I’ll do the same with Mass Effect, saves money and a lot of grief.

    @ jan,

    Yes, it can be installed without an internet connection. I disabled the connection prior to installing and it worked fine. Just paste one of the serials from keygen or one of those published online.

    The Assassin: they write it like that because its a throwback to the days when directories couldnt have the space character in them so the dot.seperates.the.words.instead.of.spaces.

    I’m not even sure you can use spaces now.

    ya u rite Gniarf….there is something wrong wif ur crack…i dl it..start the game and it crash…now using ind crack….every thing work perfect so far….play almos a day….no crash or freezing…..just so few bug….i guesss nwm ~_~..

    Hey
    Used the links in #113, the rapidshare ones.
    Got alot of 001,002,003 files. All good, joined them with hjsplit, but now i end up with a file called vty-0192 with no extension.
    And if i add a .iso to it, it wont mount in daemon tools.

    Any ideas what to do?

    You can not use hjsplit, instead, open 001 file in winrar and extract it, you will get normal iso mountable in daemon…it fooled me as well, for a few minutes.

    HA HA, now THATS funny! Wonder why Bullfrog (Sim Theme Park), Westwood, and Origin Systems (Ultima) aren’t around anymore? Its because EA gobbled them up and then sent all devs PACKING. They buy up the competition and then..when you least expect it, its “EA Spouse” all over again. Work 80 hr workweeks for 40 grand a year.

    Okay try this exercise run the vitality crack alt ctrl delete. Check the memory usage. Run the vitality crack press alt ctrl delete. Compare the cpu and memory usage of the two.

    FYI, the PO ‘bug’ is not a bug at all. It is game feature, and it shouldn’t be fixed. Read the official forums.

    @ 253 JAD: According to the reaction of the EA guy post2 at http://masseffect.bioware.com/forums/viewtopic.html?topic=633462&forum=127
    I don’t think so (not to mention my personal feeling).
    One guy (http://masseffect.bioware.com/forums/viewtopic.html?topic=633949&forum=127) even let his game run for one whole night without having his gun cool down. Still thinking it’s not a bug?
    Anyway I’m curious to see where you got your info from.

    I was about to release the vitality+PO_attempt#2 when I noticed (thx JAD) that there is a skill that makes ennemy weapons stay overheat for a bit of time. Question: Does it still work with people using the ind PO fix crack? Or did I fck the skill along with the PO?

    Well even Vitality crack has some problem… Like weapon overheating stuff… Then I tried the “The_MASS.EFFECT.PROPER.CRACKFiX.READ.NFO-iND” one and everything worked fine :)

    By the way I’m amazed to see that Vitality packs their cracks with UPX and edit the header to make it hard to find that it has been packed… I checked the “MassEffect.exe” and it has been packed. The normal unpacked size will be somewhere around 40 MB… Is this is what Vitality doing all the time? :( I thought they cut the unwanted crap and make the EXE smaller for better play, But they use UPX packer and make the EXE small and mock Reloaded for their 40 - 60 MB cracks? I’m very disappointed to see well known group like Vitality do things like this..

    Vitality always mention about omitting VM and smaller cracks give better game performance performance… I bet they know that packing an EXE with UPX also takes some time to execute the EXE… Why did they do like this? Just to be safe because they tease all other groups about huge crack sizes?

    1-Indeed it seems they tweaked the header, but personally I found it was UPXed when looking at the virus scans at the top of this pages.
    2-The normal unpacked size is 30-31Mb (for me) while the reloaded takes 47mb so I guess they vitality removed 17 mb of seccrap.
    3-UPX packing takes me about 1 minute (but yeah i f*ck the icon in the process and not vitality).
    4-True, UPX packed exe take non zero time to unpack at startup, but not much (ie: I’d be surprised to see it taking 1s). But yeah, performance wise, it’s better not to pack them. On the other hand, samller file=less download time (and faster spread?).
    5-Finally it’s some basic protection against non scene people(ie:me), it makes modifying the exe harder.

    Freezing, crashing, it doesn’t make any sense!!!
    oh, and BSOD: NV4_DISP (running the latest nvidia drivers).

    I have a installed the DETONATiON version and used iND crack. The game runs fine, however during installation, it did not ask for an CD key. Is this normal? or Have I screwed up with installation? Any help owuld be appreciated.

    @ 258 Gniarf : Yes… you are correct. But I think if you use Ultra compression and archive the same EXE with 7Zip you will be able to shrink the file size to an UPX packed exe. Well for the icon problem try not to reallocate the exe header… It will help sometimes… But not sure..

    By the way I’m using ur second crack… working fine :) Thanks for all the hard work :)

    UPX has no impact on performance, because when the execution starts, the whole code is already unpacked in memory.

    Unpacking of UPXed code takes MUCH less than 1 second.

    i pers. dislike this game. If u play only the “Main” Part u will find this game as a RPG of the Year. To me is not a RPG, more a ActionAdventure with RPG Elemnts.

    The whole Manko Driving just s..s. I mean all Planets are EMPTY. No Flora or Fauna….how the hell can some “Gorillas” survive there ?

    No food…also the drive seq. is bad. All this jumping,shortcutting etc….is boring. Then are the Fights with the huge “Snake”…im playing for 25h, i had to play 10h to finaly know what the spacerbar does in the game. To be honest, the Game its really HARD if u play without those “Buffs”..try it.

    Stroy is Top,Graphics well its UT3, not the real UT3 from back 2003/4/5 ? Techdemo. Its ok, but like any UT3 Today, on closeups all the chars/clothes[nps] have bda textures.

    Great Game playing only the MainQuest[like oblivion]. But if u play also the others Quests it gets really booring.

    They should really start obfuscuating rapidshare links and using stronger passwords to prevent deleting of rapidshare links -_-

    Its so damn obvious that they remove stuff like:

    They use both title,working and file size.

    But i agree, Rapidshare is becoming much more alert and almost ridiculously fast at deleting links.

    However this does not help our current situation.

    There are people here waiting for one, VERY god damn nice person to RE UPLOAD the Rapidshare links from PAGE 2.

    I’m really a bright person: just found the –compress-icons=0 switch to keep icons!

    @264 3000:UPX doen’t hurt performance once the exe has been unpacked, but if you take side by side the same exe, one upxed and one not, the latter will start a bit before the packed one.
    ie: unpacking eats some ressources at startup, but VERY few.

    @266 bonzo: i released:
    -a CT table
    -a reloaded PO cracktweak
    -a vitality PO that instant crashed <- removed after 24H
    (waiting for answer @255 before releasing vitality PO#2)

    There is a tech talent called Sabotage which some geth can use against you, but it only lasts a short time. So the fact that the overheat lasts until a save-reload shows that it’s a bug. Feel free to release the fixed vitality crack knowing that you will be doing everyone a service.

    @280 ItsaBug: I know sabotage exists (just forgot the name), but i don’t know if it still works with people using the PO fix (ie: when you’re sabotaged, do you weapons stay overheated as they should or did i wipe that too?)

    the game works great, i downloaded the links posted at @133. thanks for posting on rs, I had the torrent downloading for 4 days at a ridiculously slow speed and it was only 10% complete but the whole thing only took a few hours to download from rapidshare.

    Is it certain that all the triggers were caught with the Vitality crack? I notice that the nInvalidBuild variable in the BIOEngine.ini gets set to 1. It doesn’t have any effect but that something switches it from 0 to 1 suggests that something is still in there

    Hi all. My first post here so go easy with me lol. I downloaded the game and when I mount the image with Daemon tools, the launcher starts up and then when I click install nothing happens. Like it freezes. I have mounted the image, opened up the game folder, opened up the vitality file and seen both the crack and keygen BUT I cant seem to copy and paste the crack in the vitality folder into the main game folder. Hence my dilemma. So what am I doing wrong? Any advice to help this noob get this cool game installed and working would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

    There is not much too it friend.

    There should be no reason why the files wont copy/paste into the game dir.

    Are you sure you are pasting into the location on your HDD where the game is Installed and not trying to past them into the image that is mounted on Deamon Tools :P

    (as obviously it is a Read-Only image)

    That is the only think i can think of, they are just normal files like any other file.

    @282 Gniarf Now I see what you’re saying. Well I seem to remember on the final level having a overheat happen for me where I didn’t shoot my gun very long and I had to retreat until it and my shields were fixed up. It could have been a normal overheat, but I was using a Master Spectre X assault rifle with a heat sink so I doubt it overheated from shooting. Certainly it never happened before when I was using it throughout the game.

    Either way, I’m sure there would be people who would appreciate the PO fix using the “proper” crack (myself included) so just post it up. Who’s it gonna hurt? :)

    It seems that sabotage still works. Ran 2 tests: both geths stopped shooting at me for about 20sec, but i’d be glad if someone could confirm.
    One thing is sure: when the final boss shoots at me, my gun overheats.

    This (vitality)crck is not 100% working, because when I get for example level VI of some weapons, the overheat bug manifests itself. In early stages of game, there is none of it, so it is difficult to track it down. I tried iND crack, and I think, despite of ocassional crashes ( one crash for the whole night ), it works just OK … No overheat anymore for me.

    @299 There is a good thread on “overheat bug” in Bioware Tech forum and people narrowed it down to specific weapon upgrades that would cause overheat to appear, so it’s hard to say if crack or securom has anything to do with it. :(
