     This one is a little different, since this crack isn’t a No-CD/DVD, since ME has no DVD protection AFAIK, so you can’t use it with the excuse you’ve bought the game but don’t want to have to put the disc everytime you want to play..

     Anyway.. Game companies hate us, release groups hate us, the entire scene hates us.. so.. whatever..

     Actually from what i’ve seen at the official forums you don’t need the disk to play… only the CD-key… and I’m not sure about this but I think that some Europeans got their hands on a CD key and played the game with the download that Reloaded or Vitality provided (doesn’t really matter because they both suck, no nice working cracks just to race the opponent to the short “Win”)

     ive got a prob out there on feros
     i speak to the girl you need to save (from exogeni corp) and i have no options @ dialog to say, what makes me even more stuck cos i cant exit the dialog in any way :I.

     a prob that ive solved: if you want to save @ feros, you need to go to Mako (a vehicle) and you can do a quicksave being in it, at least worked for me.

     anyone knows when its gonna be european release? im really interested to buy the game, even walked @ some shops but couldnt find it there :<

     It should be possible to buy download from GAMESTOP, as reported by few happy co-Europeans; link was non responsive last few hours, but it seems its just started to work again. maybe they put in better checks for EU, don’t know for sure worth a try. I probably will to soon as no fix can be expected anyday soon… Screw EA fo screwing us in EU, they should learn from StarDock/Paradox..

     If the reason for the original crack is because of the Galaxy map problem and saving problem, you people need to do some more research on what bugs are inherent in the game. Bioware has already acknowledged that the galaxy map problem is an issue with nVidia 8×00 model video cards and the saving problem is another glitch affecting many users.

     I myself have a legitimate copy of the game and I still have the save problem with it running sans-crack, but I do like to keep up on the piracy news since cracking and cypto are a couple hobbies of mine. I did use the crack for a period of time to see what the hubbub was about and only have the saving issue and not the galaxy map issue (probably because I use an ATI video card and not an Nvidia).

     The galaxy map problem is not only for those with 8000 series cards, since I run a 7000 series and have the same problem. And yes, the game is buggy, which makes it hard to decide which problems are crack related and which are game related.

     Oh, and Nvidia rules ATI. Always has, always will.;)

     about the confirmed bug - give the link to the thread where BW oficial guy states that the galaxy map bieng black is the known bug of nVidia users… all I’ve seen on official forums so far is that this is a known bug for cracked exe users…

     Keep in mind, that playing the game from the beginning and not reloading once will most likely fix the galaxy map issue, even with the rld and dtn cracks. Save will also work, but if u save and reload the whole thing is screwed. Then you have to delete BioWare folder in /documents and settings/username/my documents

     This will “reset” the game and you can keep playing from the beginning again to get the galaxy map working. (I have 7900gt.)

     I hear a lot of ppl say that the new cracks are working, if you delete profile, start new game, and keep playing. This also works with the DET and RLD releases.

     i got up to end of therum without console bypass. first time starting the game, galaxy map worked, when restart, blacked out. with reinstall, worked again, finished therum, blacked out again -.- saving in the mako works perfectly but using the config change save doesn’t save the game i think. didn’t reload the point after i died. finally, i’ll try another reinstall and see if the map works after therum. if so, foolproof bypass: reinstall each time you play -.- woo.

     I can give you some pictures if you want, all i did is: I deleted the content of my bioware folder, and just made a new character, savings still disabled for me.. I know some people here post that it works for a laugh, but i swear i’m not lying, making a new char (After deleting the content of /my documents/bioware/mass effect folder) you CAN open the galaxy map.. i just can’t save :/

     Which basically sucks

     BitDefender with the latest update didn’t find anything in the archive posted under #654, either. However, applying the patch doesn’t seem to do anything. Saves are still broken. Either it’s just a fake, or a fake with a trojan in it

     i used an old autosave made using the original reloaded “crack” at c-sec academy rapid transfer system, moved to the offices and saved facing 2 blue aliens
     then i restarted the game and could load without any trouble

     I tried a much earlier save - my saving stopped working as early as at the end of Eden Prime (when you need to disarm a number of explosive devices). The quicksave didn’t work through the rest of the level and didn’t start working after I got back to Normandy. I tried applying this patch, and it hasn’t changed anything - quicksaving still doesn’t work. Moreover, when I launched the game right after applying the patch, I got the dreaded “Game compromised” message. So it looks like we’re back to square one.

     P.S. I’m running a full system scan with BitDefender now, just to be on the safe side. Hasn’t come up with anything yet, and I’ve learned to trust this paranoid piece of software

     generic/heuristic stuff means absolutely nothing in most cases
     ever experienced a keylogger warning when starting a game?
     yeah it does log your keys, but does nothing harmful
     most likely it’s the same case with this
     it works for me and i’m not put off by, for my understanding, false positives
     if you don’t feel safe about this fix don’t use it
     i do use it
     i don’t experience any problems using it

     Just completed the game using the console commands for only Noveria and Ilos.

     To load Noveria its:
     AT BIOA_ICE00 Start_ICE20_01

     Then re-enter the Normandy and exit to get crew.

     Confirmed - saves are working. What you need to do is first apply the MEPatcher.exe (TRFF fix) and THEN this latest me_savefix.exe. I made a mistake by reverting to original exe from the Reloaded release before applying the latest patch, and that is why it didn’t work for me the first time.

     1st After leaving Citatel,while trying to acces the galaxy map rapidly click left and right mouse button.This should allow you to go to Artermis Tau—>Knossos—>Therum planet.It will only work for the 1st time after do the following

     2nd Go to My Documents/Bioware (where save games and stuff are) Go to My Documents / Bioware (where save games and stuff are)

     3rd Go into Config files Open BioImput ini file with Notepad.locate the section [Engine.Console] and beneath it enter the line ConsoleKey=Tilde and then hit return so there is an extra space in between sections.

     4th After loading your last save open the console with ~ - tilde - and type for the planet of your choice:

     Noveria: “AT BIOA_ICE00 Start_ICE20_01″

     Feros: “AT BIOA_WAR00 Start_WAR20_01″

     After you do these 2 I am not sure whats next or if the “click fix” will start working again since I just found this out.

     This should entartain you untill a patch/proper crack fixes this

     bought the game from ea store, used my serial on RLDs iso, and have been playing for days. I eventually uninstalled RLDs because it was crashing, reinstalled the EA Store one, and it seems to be doing better.
     I also took some other measures, like uninstalling junk softs and background stuff, so it could more likely be that.

     great game, i love it, awesomeness. everything i loved about KOTOR, with a much better batter system (duh) and not tied to SW lore.

     I will buy any Mass Effect title from here on out!

     I tried 954’s fix and so far I can get no mileage out of it, but I was loading an old savegame so maybe I need to start a new one.

     The patcher seems really questionable, a Dos prompt with no real indication as to whether the procedure succeeded or not does make me a tad nervous.

     No virus found, and it does seem to work in a VM. The saving problem seems solved, kudos to the Russians, now just to wait for someone to fix the galaxy map.

     Atleast with this save fix the game is now playable with careful use of the console. If you mess up somehow, hey, you can just load an older save.

     Also, we can actually use a non-default character.

     It’s not perfect, though.
     After my weapons overheated, they fail to cool down. Even after changing my dead Assault Rifle to another one, it stays overheated. Same for pistol.

     That’s one tricky protection they put in the game
