    @seaweed

    To be able to play backup/downloaded wii games you need a modchip. The chip depends on the serial on the bottom of you wii console.
    Go to http://wiitracker.nintendo-scene.com/search.php to look up your serial. The easiest way to mod your wii is with a thing called Wii-clip.(http://www.wii-clip.com/). There are even pre-soldered ones out there which come with the chip already on it.
    With this clip you don’t have to solder anything, just clip it on and you’re good to go. I’ve modded 6 wii consoles till now this way, i highly recommend it.
    Once you’ve downloaded your wii game/iso, you can use ImgBurn. Now, don’t use any cheap dvd’s cause the wii is very picky!
    If you can get Verbatim dvd-r dvd’s or any other brand which is produced in japan and not taiwan or singapore, you’ll be fine.

    There is a site called http://www.wiiso.com where you can get alot of useful information(needs registration.)

    Hope i could help you out.

    Ciao.

    One more thing, make sure you burn at max. 4x speed with ImgBurn or slower. I’ve seen some games not working correctly at higher speeds.

    If you want to play games from other regions you need to run the games through two programs, if you don’t want to brick your wii.

    1.WiiBrickBlocker – http://wbb.rockman18.com/?page=home&ln=en

    2.Regionfrii – http://www.wii-maniacs.com/home/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=278&Itemid=2

    Or see if can get a copy of Datel freeloader, which enables to play any region game. I believe this one works only with wii firmware 3.2 and lower, fw 3.3 has blocked the Datel freeloade if i’m not mistaken.

    Good luck!

I surpose i should go for the region free since i am stated in scandianavia. I have Already mastered the xbox 360, but it could be sweet to have something my newphes and firends too can play, when we are stoned.
    peace and goodnight i am up for study early

    If your getting the black screen your trying to play the game on a Pal console i’m guessing,
    You’ll need some sort of region free loader.
    Most likely have to install homebrew if you haven’t got it and use a gecko loader.
