Manticore 2005 DVDRip XviD-VCDVaULT

It looks that VCDVaULT wants to compete with VoMiT for the unofficial “weirdest-movie-releases” award: another new dvdrip they published lately is also an STV title Manticore (it was aired on TV 2 years ago). A quick look at the first line of this movie’s plot will make you laugh – the imagination of female soldiers, iraq and some terrible monster wouldn’t probably work even under Spielberg’s direction. At least they know how to rip a DVD…

During Operation Iraqi Freedom, a US Army Squad is sent to a small Iraqi town to locate a missing news crew, only to find the residents of the town dead and a living Weapon of Mass Destruction, a Manticore, awaken from it’s long slumber by a terrorist leader wanting to rid his land of the American invaders at any price.

    This isn’t very original. It was in fact the initial draft reason for invading Iraq.

    A manticore? Really?

    A Manticore? Scorpion, Lion, Human, etc?

    REALLY?

    WMD = Weird Movie Device.

    Man-ti-core was the code name for Saddam’s WMD program. It’s obvious, “core” referencing nuclear cores, “Man” of course meaning what it’s for killing, and “TI” is the acronym for Texas Instruments who they bought most of the equipment from.

    yes its late..

    @26 tucker,

    No problem. :)

    I loved the show and Alba looked great in it. Unfortunately, the second season ends without resolving any of the plotlines because Fox initially renewed it for a third season, then cancelled it to make room for Firefly (which didn’t even last a full season). If you like the show, there are a couple novels that tie up the loose ends (plus a prequel). Been meaning to get them myself.
