The ESRB are nothing but fascist pig-f u c k e r s and they can officially suck my green muppet balls.

All this is back-door censorship. If the establishment wants to censor a game they give it the AO porn rating so stores won’t carry it.

Oh and yet torture-porn like Saw IV and Hostel 2 get R-Ratings and I see people with 7 y/o in the theater. So those little kids can see women tortured to death but I can’t bash some computer generated gang members brains and enjoy it in full hi-res detail because some idiot might let their kids play it. What part of M FOR MATURE don’t these people get?

I love Manhunt, Soldier of Fortune 1 & 2, Kingpin and Postal. They don’t make enough truly realistic violent games.

Oh yeah and it’s ok for kids to play the ARMY’s propaganda game since it’s TEEN rated. No one writhes in pain, or is wounded. There’s no blood. All the killing is neat, clean and painless. What a great message for our children!

Rofl cry. Manhunt doesn’t push it too far at all, the Wii version of Manhunt 2 is horribly entertaining, and I’ve already played through it twice.

Jone 9 . the game never hit the stores dude the only leak was in internet straight from inside the company and that was only for about 2 or 3 days i have the link from rlslog and its at 98% for nearly 2 months now soo u couldn’t possibly bought it o and the leak was the ps2 version only.
Now to the point about the pc release its about 80% sure that its going to be AO rating:) the issue was only about the consoles versions Sony’s policy about AO games is NO AO games and we don’t have to tell about Microsoft but in pc toootal deferent story.:P

Release the game AS IT IS meant to be. It’s just a videogame, I hate these rating systems! In Manhunt you are suppose to be able to do sh!t that is XXX rated and in an extremely gory way.. Same with GTA and other games.. I just wish they included children and animals you could torture and rape and dig up graves and skullf*ck their heads and so on.. it would be perfect. Hostel and Saw the game series would be awesome!! REMEMBER: it is just pixels or actually 1011101010101010101010, ones and zeros put in a “the right order” that brings you this stuff on your screen.

Not really, they are just doing what any other media producer would do. It’s no worse than blurring out faces or putting black squares over bits you’re not meant to see on tv.

I still fail to tsee the point of a game that is based purely around gratuitious violence. I played manhunt 1 for like 30 mins, got too bored with it. Once you get over all the killing it is actually quite a pathetic game.

What? It remains as “Mature”, the title is misleading… If nothing else, the ESRB is doing the right thing, but Rockstar leaving in the AO content is definitely circumventing the ratings system…

It’s my belief that Rockstar probably did this one on purpose, being that they made it so easy–uncensoring the game is as simple as deleting a few text strings from some ini files.

I’ve had the beta since it released, and I really liked it, especially the environment kills. And most of the kills are blocked as the camera is shaky.
I still need to beat the original Manhunt.
