Ah Manhunt 2… That infamous game, its not even in retail stores yet and its got to be one of the most controversial games ever. Refused certification in the UK and given an AO in the US and other countries means that it cant be sold on any of the platforms it was heading for. “cruel and sadistic, with a squalid environment and a continuous, insistent encouragement to violence and murder.” is what one of the members of the Italian ratings bored called it. Rockstar has appealed the ratings the game had received and in the US they have edited the game down to an M rating so it will be soon be sold in its edited form on US shelves. Who wants to play the edited version of a game though?
We don’t usually publish articles on non PC games on rlslog but we think that Manhunt 2 deserves special mention especially since this game doesn’t have PC release coming and it has been released in its uncut original form! Group DAGGER have released it for the PS2 and it comes from a .nl source where there is no legal mechanism in place to ban its sale over their. The PS2 is a moderately easy system to trick into playing backup discs so if you have it i suggest you grab yourself a swapmagic of something similar, download this release and enjoy this game as it was originally intended… only if you have PAL TV and PS2 though.

Ahhh, such a shame I haven’t got a PAL TV to play this on, and the generic PAL to NTSC patchers are pretty awful.
I’ll have to wait for a selector patch or the NTSC release.

I read that also. Because it’s PAL, and it’s not being released in the UK, this has got to be the beta version. If it was the USA one, it would be NTSC.

The NTSC version will be only released in October 31 and it will be cut version, cause USA didnt allowed the violence in that game, so rockstar had to cut some violence
So if u want to play this game, download this release and than use the ps2_pal2ntsc_yfix to correct the Y posicion.

I laughed when I saw the Wii logo on the site. This is one game I didn’t expect on a Nintendo console.
Anyway, I guess we have to wait a while for a PC release… if it ever happens. It’s not listed anywhere, only the PSP/PS2 and the Wii at a the moment.

There are no good PS2 emulators at the moment. Even if Manhunt 2 would be playable on it, it will be slow. So… it’s almost no.

The game was posted up as a news bit and not an official release. It only included a release because the site … well posts releases.
The game is pointless, not original and has no ground breaking concepts or technology. Best to wait for something real like GTA4.

Right I’ll try to answer some questions as best I can.
The original Manhunt was released on PS2 and PC. however
Manhunt 2 was only being released on PSP, PS2, and PISS, and as far as I know this will not appear on PC, NEVER ! beacause it’s the last game rockstar is making for the old gen consoles, and since the nintendo piss has shit graphics power it’s going there too.
This game was meant to be released a month or two ago, but was refused a certificate and banned, permanantly. Then rockstar said it was a special game, and they wanted it to be released, so they would tone down the violence, and they have, it’s now being released soon in the US, but only the edited version will be released.
This is the full uncut version, possibly leaked by rockstar themselves out of disgust.
as far as I know, there is NO ps2 emulator availiable for PC that will play this. You need a PS2 and Swap Magic 3. I just got my dusty old brickstation 2 out of the loft, as soon as I saw this article, and it plays copied games and american ones, So I imagine it’ll play this too. roll on the torrentfile.

Played this with the PAL to NTSC convert and it works great, little to nothing is chopped off from the bottom of the screen, saves works, and I haven’t encountered any glitches yet(But there have been some reports of them, bodies floating in the air after picking them up).
The fix i posted has nothing cut off the screen

Err.. you can use swap magic to play import games, at least i can play ntsc god of war 2 on a pal tv and ps2
anyone know how to get through the dungeon of the S&M club? i cant get the last door open (one you have to open from the inside) in order to unlock the main door.
To beat that you need to go to the room next to it, there is a secret passage in the wall, just walk against it and it’ll turn and you’ll be in the room

lol everybody is stuck there “Emil Overgaard” just go to the room next to it and walk against the wall, at somepoint the door will spin because there is a secret passage and it allows you to go to the room, it took me about 15min to find

Using the latest PCSX2 I can use the menus. When I choose my difficulty setting it crashes

Use WinRAR to extract/rebuild the .iso file and burn it with Nero.
I also would like to no how to burn these sort of files, does any1 have an easy way to do this at all.
The files are currently named like this:
mhu2-dgr.001, mhu2-dgr.002, mhu2-dgr.003, etc…
If you rename them (with R’s) like this:
mhu2-dgr.r01, mhu2-dgr.r02, mhu2-dgr.r03,
you can open them using WinRAR.
Then you simply extract the mhu2-dgr.iso and burn to a DVD using Nero.

data disc? u need to burn the image. On recorder options it’s there.
