    I really wish Ray Mears would sharpen a nice stick and insert it into Mr Grylls again and again until he runs away, never to be seen again. Aaaah…. Bliss

    Wow, how they film this show is so deceiving. One second the camera is in front of them, then when they do sky shots, the cameramen are no where to be seen? Way to be truthful lol.

    Then there's the ice waterfall seen where Bear slips and is hanging and in this supposed dangerous situation he's in hanging perilously, somehow a cameraman is hanging right beside him, filming him lol. So fake.

    @16 Born survivor is UK and Man vs Wild is USA. But I live in the UK and watch it on Discovery but I've missed some episodes and want to catch up on them but since its all jumbled up I have no idea which one it is =/

    bear grylls is a complete fake. he has even admitted to being giving food by cameramen and at the end of a shoot, head to the nearest hotel. he is a joke.

    if you want the real thing your better off watching born survivor. real show. real premise. real situations. 1 man living by himself i.e. sets up his own cameras and for a full 7 days.

    bear grylls a complete fake.

    @24
    See at the start of every episode where it says "Bear Grylls and the crew receive support etc."

    and then it goes on to say "On some occasions, situations are presented to Bear so he can demonstrate survival techniques"

    The show is meant to show how to survive if you are lost if those situations it doesnt say that its 100% real from what i pasted he says himself he receives support when its needed

    Bear Grylls never claims to be Survivorman…there is already a show about that. Bear still does drink his own piss, eats bugs and weeds…he knows not to mess with the ultimate outdoorsman – Survivorman, but he is still entertaining …#22 is real

    If you unpack a .exe file do NOT run it! If you did run it then restart your PC and do a full scan with your antivirus and anti-malware.

    I think the show is interesting, but sometimes it's funny too. You can't take everything too seriously.

    All of these shows are the same, this one is no better or worse than any of the others when it comes to production. Of course they're not going to show them wandering along with a cameraman in long shots, none of these shows do, it would be stupid. These aren't documentaries, they're entertainment, all these kinds of shows. If you're taking them seriously you're an idiot.

    Even Attenborough's documentaries filmed some shots in zoos, labs, etc, that were prefaced with shots on location. It's all about what you can get, what you can reasonably put together in a realistic way.

    All these shows are the same? I only know of two of them.

    This one, where a former Brit SF member has a camera man, and is in constant contact, via radio, with a survival expert, a wildlife expert, and his producer and director. Check the credits.

    Then there is the Canadian, who carries his own camera equipment, and shoots his own journeys. He is the survival expert, and the wildlife expert, for the most part. He actually shows you useful stuff, in completely plausible scenarios…

    @45

    All correct, you just left out one detail.

    The first show you describe is FAR more entertaining than the second one – so who cares about the rest??

    Well said, Bear is charismatic and entertaining. People seem to forget with all of the trying to make the shows informative and visually interesting as possible (e.g .landscapes etc), that Mr Grylls has already achieved some fantastic feats. Serving in the SAS, youngest Briton to top everest, probably not someone to mock and call fake from the luxury of your desk lol.
