Exactly what I think. The purpose of the program is to show survival techniques in certain situations. It doesn’t really matter where he is in the world in order to show these techniques.

Is this just the Born Survivor show from Discovery, renamed?

It all sounds familiar (he went to Siberia etc in Born Survivor, doing the whole swimming in Icy water thing and sledding on a carcass).

Oh and you haters should probably get a life. He never claims he’s alone and it’s always stated that he has a crew with him at all times in case something goes wrong. He simply shows you methods of survival that you wouldn’t think of in those situations. Handy for like-minded travellers, entertaining for those of us too chicken to do it ourselves.

This noob ain’t got anything on Survivorman. Survivorman goes in by himself with handheld camcorders, this fool goes in with a whole crew and he still cries like a girl the whole time.

Well yeah, except that you wont survive a comparable situation

If you watched the latest episode… the chance to stumble upon locales in sibiria is 0.00001, if you are that lucky you will survive, but he would not have lasted a day without their help.

He even does some EXTREMELY dangerous stunts so the show looks cooler to a younger audience. Diving in icewater in that kind of climate is one of the most dangerous things to do, and definately nothing you would do in a survival sitation. This, among other things, makes this show just an action show to relax with.

who cares if its fake, find a programme that isnt one huge setup. its entertaining if we wanted real we’d all go into the mountains and do it our damned selves, but we dont we want god damn good hour long fully edited entertainment
