Another very good movie by PFa. My first and most favorite actor Denzel Washington has brought some good movies and this is one of it. I have seen more than 20 movies starring Denzel and I have to say that all of them were good. I have seen him playing many many different roles in many different plots. For the people who have missed this film, recommended to watch! Quality = PFa = Good = Enjoy!
A wave of kidnappings has swept through Mexico, feeding a growing sense of panic among its wealthier citizens, especially parents. In one six-day period, there were 24 abductions, leading many to hire bodyguards for their children.
Into this world enters John Creasy (DENZEL WASHINGTON), a burned-out ex-CIA operative/assassin who has given up on life. Creasy’s friend Rayburn (CHRISTOPHER WALKEN) brings him to Mexico City to be a bodyguard to nine-year-old Pita Ramos (DAKOTA FANNING), daughter of industrialist Samuel Ramos (MARC ANTHONY) and his wife Lisa (RADHA MITCHELL). Creasy is not interested in being a bodyguard, especially to a youngster, but for lack of something better to do, he accepts the assignment.
Creasy barely tolerates the precocious child and her pestering questions about him and his life. But slowly, she chips away at his seemingly impenetrable exterior, his defenses drop, and he opens up to her. Creasy’s new-found purpose in life is shattered when Pita is kidnapped. Despite being mortally wounded during the kidnapping, Creasy is “a man on fire,” as he vows to kill anyone involved in or profiting from the kidnapping. And no one can stop him.

This movie is on my most 5 favorite list. A Great movie with some good acting. I would have loved to download this to keep it but it is on 2 cd. Anyone knows if a 1 cd exist?

If someone hadn’t seen the movie, how would they know he was shot? Until you just said something. Just from the screenshot a number of things could be happening. Shot, hit by a car, fell down, dead, drunk.
It’s like saying that from the first picture they just told everyone he was going on a rampage by kidnapping the guys brother and shooting him, because they kidnapped the little girl.
Oh spoilers.
One of the better movies I’ve seen in recent years. Definately worth a view.

PFA noobs again
I love denzel’s acting and yeah he is up there with deniro and al pacino, but his 2 latest movies deja vu and this one are a bit of a let down. They are good but not great thrillers unlike heat, leon or collateral. I don’t think it’s even at the same level as training day. I am certain with the right director and plot denzel will deliver a great thriller. I am still eagerly waiting.
Still it is a good movie and worth your time if you haven’t watched it yet.

he isn’t killed in that picture, although he is shot… but that’s earlier in the movie. at the end, however… well watch the movie

I never understood the appeal of ‘Denzel’ as an action actor. The guy is as lame as they come, and the talks like he has just been butt-raped by Mandingo! Even Bill Cosby is a bigger badass than Denzel. He’s good in drama, I’ll give you that. But action, common… He doesn’t come close to a Willis or an Eastwood, let alone a Pacino or DeNiro (who’s latest movies sucked by the way).

This movie, along with Training Day is some of his best stuff. I actually shed a tear when he gave his life for Dakota Fanning, this movie is great. Deja Vu, not so much.

Yes, I’ve seen the movie. Unlike others who like everything they see (so does a baby by the way), I don’t. I didn’t like this movie. The plot is full of holes and Denzel is not in his place as “the man who gets his revenge”. He’s not an action hero, period.
And by token I mean he’s the black guy white folks like to see. In the white dominated media they don’t like the black people who make waves, they like the ones who pretend to be white (Tiger Woods, Denzel Washington). So he is the token black action hero, only not a very good one.

It’s obvious that there’s action in the movie so when he’s on the ground and a little girl is running to him while crying it doesn’t take a genius to work out what happened.
