This is another one of those releases where we can just sit back and say: you guys have fucked it up again :D I’m mainly posting this as we can’t post P2P releases here so can’t make a post for the STG release, but just so you know (if you don’t already), this release is stolen from Stuffies/STG.

Quality: Its a fullscreen cam that Stuffies did a nice job with, and since the US doesn’t get this until this upcoming Friday, we get it a little early :D

18 year old Sophie (Amanda Seyfried) has a problem. Its almost her wedding day and she doesn’t know who her father is. It could be any of her mothers (Meryl Streep) past suitors: Sam (Pierce Brosnan), Bill or Harry. The only way for her to find out is to invite all three to her wedding to see what happens.

    this means, that this is missing pretty much most of the screen, lol utter crap stg may have tried, but MM from dididave has his finger stuck on zoom… ZOOM(CROP) when your encoding, not when ur in the damn cinema

    rofl, not an opinion m8, its a fact…. The cammer selected 4:3 recording on the cam, this has nothing to do with zoom, as you’re right zooming crops the video, but in the setting of the cam, they should have selected 16/9.

    the fact that it’s p2p users who read rlslog and feel pissed off by tradingstandards and their almost complete reliance on stolen p2p sources i think all future tradingstandards releases should have (stolen) in the title and a link to the original p2p source.

    The best policy is simply to ignore tradingstandards.

    I know the other article about them discussed the motives for scene releases. Whether you believe it is for sharing within “the scene” only or whether it is for widespread recognition and fame, it’s obvious that tradingstandards are doing this on purpose.

    Nobody would have 100% of their releases nuked unless they were deliberately not following the rules. Simply stop mentioning their releases and hope they go away. In their eyes, ANY publicity is good publicity.

    Certainly ignoring them is better for all than some petty “war.”

    Hollywood wonders why people don’t go to the theaters aymore.

    This movie is a great example, these “pink girlfriendy” movies make me want to puke.

    What ever happend to movies of genuine historical themes? I am not talking about these costume dramas like Elizabeth or Troj or Alexander. Those movies are really really bad, they bring no realism to the sujects. They should learn from tv shows like “Rome”, that was a really good one.

    Marceli, MOST cams are originally cammed in 4:3 format then cropped to 16:9, sometimes because the camcorder doesnt cam in 16:9, other times because it saves disk space on the camcorder, moron… with 4:3 mode on a camcorder and zoomed out, you will get all the screen, maybe zoom in a little to help out on resolution, then you crop the cinema walls out and then you will have minimal crop, cammed at 4:3

    … so tell me marceli, what do you really know?

    Got to love abba and Mamma Mia.

    Saw the play here in Canada a few years back, it was amazing. And my gf was very appricative that I took her to the show, nudge nudge..

    Some Cameras can record at 16:9 in fact allot of the better camcorders have it as the standard mode of shooting.

    Did you perhaps consider that the cammer may have been too close to the screen to zoom out more and he couldn’t get a spot anywhere else.

    And while at 4:3 you miss allot it is mostly superfluous detail all films are still shot so that all the important visuals are in that one area if you have ever seen a shoot they line up the shots using a guide that shows them all the aspect ratios and they get the shot that works for everything. So while having 16.9 or more is better its not necessary to enjoy the films.

    Also unless he has quite a good high resolution camera, zooming and cropping after the fact may sound like a good idea but will result in lower quality footage for us and considering all the “action” happens in that tiny little square between 4:3 and 16:9 you can certainly find many justifications for filming physically closer at a smaller aspect ratio.

    I agree that trading standards steals from p2p. But u know what, as long as I get a free movie, I dont really care where they get it from. Now if the quality is bad and stuff, then thats a different story. Now to my other point, why cant we have p2p movies here? Maybe thats why trading standards is doing what they are doing? who knows, someone reply to this, tell me what u think

    If you know that a release from a scene group is stolen from a p2p source I would just not even make a post about it. Do not give TRADINGSTANDARDS anymore exposure. As long as TRADINGSTANDARDS keeps stealing from P2P then they are not a scene group – Even if their releases follow scene rules. They fail as a scene group.

    Ban them from your site…. Because if you DONT then this means that I or anyone else can just download a P2P release and then re-release it in scene standards and gain exposure.

    the cammer has done 3 movies so far, all cropped like this, surely he would of realised not to sit close to the screen?

    im really trying not to diss him but comon… and dont give me some sh!t about ‘i dont see you going out and doing it’, i dont go out and do it, because i know how hard it is, but i would atleast try and get a good seat, i mean sitting in the middle of the cinema with a cam is asking for more trouble than if ur sitting further back, think about it, if ur sitting at the back you have less people behind you to see what your doing ;) , yes most cam’s do recommend 16:9, but try cramming 2 hours or so of footage? Forgetting Sarah Marshall and Three And Out were done by UK newsgroup cammer, he had an HD camcorder etc, but, he cammed in SD, why? because HD takes up alot more space = more disk changes = more missing footage, im not saying dont zoom in at all, you zoom in enough to give urself a moving area, where you can move the cam comfortably without loosing half the screen, TBG release group that done a few homemade cams, he didnt zoom in at all, i have saw screenshots of the source, ya see the whole cinema, and he still pushed out good quality, so really you are wrong about zooming in, you can still get good quality without zoom

    Marceli you have already made yourself to look a complete tit before and have obviously NO technical knowledge of anything you embarrass yourself and everybody else who reads your crap.

    It makes no difference really which AR you choose on the cam as some only record in 4:3, you can simply get the zoom correct ie get both edges of the screen or close as poss then crop the extra, non needed portions of black at top and bottom when encoding to XviD.

    The 3:3 cams that come out has to do with them not get camera position correctly so couldnt capture full image, it has absolutley nothing to do with the AR they chose.
