    Sibelius is more user-friendly than Finale is, but Finale has better sound output quality in terms of instrument tonality. That said, my favourite lies with Finale over Sibelius because once you get used to it, Finale can move through writing very quickly.

    Granted it’s free, get both.

    Finale Allegro and Finale 2008 are two different programs. Allegro is the stripped down version that was made for composers that couldn’t afford the whole Finale package.
