Let’s not forget that by America’s definition, photos/videos of a 17 year old having sex is considered child pornography, which means that anyone looking at the stuff produced by Club Seventeen in Europe is guilty of accessing child porn. And what about all of Traci Lords’s old movies? They’re all child porn (except Traci I Love You) in America, even if they’re legal in other countries.

Besides, they said that they found “child porn” in something like 88 newsgroups and the ISPs reacted by deleting several hundred, if they didn’t just do away with newsgroup access completely.

I have AT&T and if they get rid of all the binary groups, I plan to call them and ask how much of a reduction I can expect to see on my monthly bill, since they’ll have eliminated a major portion of the service they provide. Never mind that their servers suck, it’s the principle of the thing.

Yup, strategy for internet control this is.

They could not care less about child porn. If they did, they’d only actually “ban” the child porn groups, not full out ban every thing and everybody like they did.

It pains me to say, but the US is full of naive idiots. As long as there is some reality show on TV, or whatever other crap, they won’t wake up to smell the coffee.
